Dear Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital Vasant Kunj, New Delhi Team I am writing to bring to your attention the poor queue management at your hospital. I had a recent experience where I had to wait for an unreasonably long time, as if I was waiting in a government hospital. Despite there being six billing counters, only four were open, leading to a huge queue and causing unnecessary inconvenience to patients. Furthermore, I was extremely disappointed to witness the behavior of some of your staff members. They were asking patients to go to diagnostic areas to check if they could get their tests done without billing, just to avoid conversation and show no respect and concern for patients. This is unacceptable behavior, and patients deserve to be treated with respect and empathy. Additionally, I observed that elderly patients were being disregarded and asked to hurry up and walk fast, which is not only disrespectful but also unfair to them. They should be given the necessary time and attention they require. I hope you will take my feedback seriously and take necessary steps to improve the situation. Patients come to your hospital with the hope of receiving quality healthcare, and they deserve a positive experience. I look forward to hearing back from you regarding the steps you plan to take to address these issues.

The worst experience. Fortis Bangalore is so good but Fortis Vasant Kunj is horrible. The customer care is extremely rude and unhelpful and they even disconnect the calls. Not only this, we payed Rs 1200 for consulting a gynecologist and she just recommended an ultrasound and asked us to come back. We got the test done and went back to the hospital the very next day and they are charging us Rs 1200 just to show the reports. What scam is this? The first consultation lasted 5 minutes and she just recommended a test so why do we have to pay for that? This is highly unethical. Would not recommend you to visit this hospital. They're just here to make money.

After booking the slot for vaccination I was confused with Site 1 & 2. Soon after arriving at hospital I was handed over a form to fill it up, before entering the building. Then directed to the Basement for billing, for both Site 1 & 2 billing desks are same. Site 1 is on basement itself and Site 2 is on the Ground Floor. After that I went to Site 2 and again have to filled another form & they provided a Token number. Have to wait for my turn at the waiting area, they have arranged the sitting area in a very good way as per the guideline. Voila, I took my jab at ease. I found the process hassle-free, it took 1 hr to complete the total vaccination process.

In 2 days, they discharged me after the knee surgery. I got an appointment on a short notice. The surgery was perfect though pain was unbearable initially but things settled down soon. They gave a diet plan, taught Physio exercises. Staff was very polite not one but all of them. Care that you get here can make you feel like this is a better place for recovery than your home. They are very considerate of their patients. Coming back to surgery, I saw everything live. I was not scared to see anything as they were just doing their work. Soon after the surgery, I was told that now I need to make efforts to get back on sports field. Hoping everything turns out as planned. The doctors and Physio will guide me through the post surgery process. Night attendants at the hospital also reply promptly. They do their best without complaining rather they try to look into complaints as opportunities to improve their services. They did not meet the expectations but exceeded them. The doctors are great here. They listen to you and give you right treatment and directions. The patient who was in the next room had two strokes after operation but he still recovered in next 2 days and got discharged. You can imagine from this example, how good actually the doctors are here. Hope this review helps many people. Thank you and take care people of your health.

It seems patient care, maintenance, service everything has taken a backseat at fortis vasant kunj. My father was admitted there for three days recently and you can see the photos of a semi private room for which I paid Rs.7500. The wall, the curtains everything was stained. The bed was seriously jeopardized there was rust everywhere. This was a semi private room, and the lock was broken on the toilet door. You can imagine the ordeal of patients and attendants managing with a broken toilet door. In one of the photographs, you can see that the wall had completely peeled off. Talking about the service the staff is really not concerned I had to practically call up almost all numbers on the on the list to get simple things like drinking water and the remote control for the television get done. Such was the situation that my next-door neighbor in this room started shouting at everybody because they were not doing even the simple tasks. The patient care team, in fact visit both of us and despite bringing those problems to their attention, nothing was done. So even if you are spending money, you are really not getting the desert service. It was like made to stay in a one star hotel, after paying five star rates. Please try to avoid fortis vasant kunj.

I had my wife delivery here and selected a double sharing room options. Most of the nurse are good but some nurse in the night are very rude and didn't provide help to patient. There is lack of coordination between the billing team and doctors and staff. I was charged the extra room rent on the last day even when I had payed all the amount of package and the doctor as asked for discharge. I had also filled their refund form and contacted at their email id but got no response from last 3 months. This is really bad and will never go to this hospital again.

Doctors are the best nothing to complain. Admission and discharge a nightmare. I am waiting for 6 hours to be discharge and can't go even though I had to deal for 3 days before Admission for a smoth pre scheduled surgery, we had a guarantee of payment approved ready, and we were promised by a lot of people that everything is going to be smooth on the way out. Now after waiting for 6 hours I need another painkiller because I just surgery a day before which means I need to wait for another 6 hours for my bill to be ready so I can leave the hospital. Don't ever come here is a nightmare!

Dr. Hemant treated me. He is one of the most sweetest doctor I have ever come across. He is extremely patient and makes you feel at home. Him And his team is always available in case of any emergency. His team is of dedicated professionals.. be it taking appointments from his manager Zulfi who is just a msg / call away with prompt replies and even Sister Lam and other OPD sister who are the sweetest and gentle in treating you with a smile on their face.

Absolutely disappointed with my stay in Fortis. I was recommended to admit for some treatment even though these treatment are achievable from OPD basis, we were recommended to get admitted as the doctor said I would have multiple treatments during my stay. During my stay I had to wait for more than 2 hours to go to the toilet when I had the infusion due to staff shortage. Wouldn’t matter how many times I pressed the call buzzer or called the staff. When I stayed my treatment included my regular medication, iron infusion and iv antibiotics. Some blood tests and ECG. These treatments are easily achievable from OPD basis and there was nothing that I received extraordinarily from being admitted. During the time of admission, the admin did not disclose hidden charges and by the time of discharge they made a huge bill of services never used and serviced never disclosed prior to admission. When we found the errors, they made us wait for more than 3 hours and made us run up and down saying they haven’t received some documents. How is it our responsibility to get those clearances and not the relevant departments? Absolutely disgraceful that as a patient and their family who are already going so much with grief they have to face such inconvenience from a health care. Definitely not leaving with a good experience.

All the departments: House keeping , Engineering were promptly on time whenever their service is needed . Very polite and helpful. F&B is great : suggestion to be mindful about culinary and cuisine differences where there is opposite cultural food practices and preferences and be more individualistic about food cooked and served for patients . As patients are from across the country & worldwide so being culturally sensitive about food choices to curate for the patient for which individual care plan can be incorporated beyond and above for finer details and contentment of the service in terms of food served to patients

Fortis is provided covid RT- PCR test for 800/- SRL lab is doing the test here. Report is been provided within 48 hours. Management of hospital is good. No need to enter the hospital. Billing is done outside the hospital and sample is also taken on the exit gate. Good arrangement for patients to sit and wait for their turn.

I got discharged today after undergoing surgery in fortis in urology department. Dr. Aman Gupta was my operating surgeon. He is so nice , professional and friendly.. Being a doctor myself i have no hesitation in saying that it was a wonderful experience. All the staff members are excellent. I was impressed by the nursing staff who inspite of being understaffed did their best. I am pleased to thank all staff members of urology department. I will fail in my moral obligation if i dont mention about a staff nurse namely Aarti and Gda namely Bikky who are so professional. I have two suggestions for the administration . 1. Employ more nursing staff . 2 . Upgrade the old beds and bedding. Beds are old and rusted and mattresses are worn out and uncomfortable.

The entire staff of Fortis Vasant Kunj hospital is very nice and highly co-operative and their service is extremely good. I am very grateful to Dr.Nivedita Raizada (Gynecologist) 🙏🙏🙏 and the other senior doctors and the team of the hospital who made feel at ease and comfortable during my surgeries. I was literally taken care like a child post my two surgeries. I was put under observation (around the clock) with all the necessary care and support by the staff. I would also like to thank my dietitian and the staff at the kitchen (F&B) for on time good healthy food. And I thank all the hospital nurses, housekeeping staff, sanitation workers, etc for all the support, care and help. I thank Fortis hospital VK from bottom of my heart for all the best of services and care and making me feel at home, especially all the nurses, the GDA and the F&B department. Quite old good pvt hospital in this area.. doctors are good but facility is not managed well. My mom was admitted in twin sharing room.. we got broken IV stand and side table which got replaced on request and bathroom was not in good condition. They fixed the broken toilet with some cement. Nursing staff was not much responsive. They have small free parking space in the the premises but that is free for namesake. Parking guys are very rude and will not let you park if you don’t pay. They will ask 50-100 rs else say parking space is reserved for doctors. I went there in the night when more than 50% of parking was available but parking guy argued a lot and didn’t allow me to park till i have hime 50rs.

Great hospital with superb treatment!! Hi Had a good experience with the hospital in terms of treatment and service ,the nurses and wardboys were very friendly and helpful The negative there is a parking mafia running with parking almost never available during day hours and attendants asking for 100 Rupees to park the cafe/canteen is very basic can really do better if they do up the place and offer better variety of food with the cooking time also being atleast 15 minutes for even a grilled sandwich and so much outside space can be utilised for seating

Pathetic doctors!! I had father's treatment there who came to Delhi especially for the treatment and was treated by Dr. Vineet Gupta who is so rude and reluctant in giving details about the medicines and other precautions to be taken. One one occasion when he started the conversation about what should be eaten and what not, upon asking him about eating several food items his response was "anb ek ek baat thodi na bataungi (can't tell you each and everything)" ..Sir you're a doctor and if you're not gonna tell us then who will!! Further, as my father had to go back to our native town Dr. Vineet Gupta assured that he will speak over the phone to consult my father after his medicines for the prescribed period are over, upon calling him his assistant Ms. Mukti asked for the pictures of the prescription and after two days called to inform just this that the doctor cannot provide you any details over the phone and he has asked you to contact your local doctor when medicines are over. So, after making promise and giving assurance that he will consult , he is simply asking us to consult a local doctor. What a pathetic and disappointing encounter it was with Me. Vineet Gupta and Fortis hospital who never budges to ask for payment even when doctors delays while asking for multiple tests and in the end the consuion is "local doctor ko dikha lo". The only reason, I believe so someone goes to such expensive private hospitals is to have atleast a good consultation plus nice treatment, medical wise and in person, however you have a staff of such rude and disappointing doctors!! Never gonna recommend this hospital to any of my knowns! And if only i could give you stars in negative

I am Dr Manish singh visited this hospital on 08/10/2023 and want to see the reports of my patient but duty dr Nandani refused for that and told to talk with Dr Prashant Saxena. When I talk to him he told that we can not allow to see reports and treatment chart. When I became rigid to see the reports he started to abuse me and threaten to kill my patient.I don’t know what is going on and what treatment is given to patient. ICU condition is very poor and no senior doctors are on duty . Attendents are allow to see the patient without mask and their own shoes(dirty). I have given the written complain to the administrator and waiting for their reply otherwise I can take legal action .

Blessed with Baby Boy through Normal Delivery. Dr. Sutopa Banerjee and Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, did a great job, and we had very excellent experience through out our pregnancy journey. She explained everything to us in a very clear manner. She was also kind and friendly. All of the staff and team members were great – they were helpful, patient and very knowledgeable medical professionals. They were very good in making our case as a normal delivery (vaginal birth), contrary to people perception that nowdays doctors are inclined for cesarean birth.

Got the appointment confirmed by SMS for 11 am, lined up in the queue to get billing and registration done. No communication to the doctor made that patient is waiting outside. Called the number asking for an update at 11:40 am and they said knock at the cabin and handover your billing. Doctor said how do I know you are waiting and I told him the staff outside said doctor has not come and came to your cabin to inform about me. Doctor said they just said patient is waiting outside. Wouldnt a normal person ask what's the name of the patient? Now it's 12 pm still waiting for him to call me and this is after an appointment was confirmed for 11 am can't imagine for people walking into opd. This is not just one off instance, in general my experience is there is no respect for patients or value of their time by doctors in India, this is one profession where client is the Dog and the doctor is God 😳. BTW, in this instance my appointment was/is with doctor Vishal Chhabra.

During my 1 week stay in the hospital, my experience was average except the food services and the housekeeping . Was expensive , had a small issue with the nurses staffs but overall it was good , was expecting to be a lot better from the nurse's staffs . During those 7 days ,Mr.Bhagat Singh, the supervisor helped us out a lot . He was understanding and was very co operative . My dad is a diabetic patient, I requested him to kindly serve the food prior to the given scheduled time and he did so as I requested him . I also requested him to kindly allow us home meal too and he did helped me out for which I m very thankful to him. His staffs were very polite , fast and respectful. Even for the attendant too , the foods were delivered in just a few minutes otherwise ordering from the canteen itself took more than 1hr to deliver .

Nurses are really nice but very much understaffed. No ones at the Feedback desk(3 days I visited no one's there). Apart from nurses, staff is very rude, Very bad experience. Long queues at billing desk very poorly managed. Even when customers goes to pay bill customer only has to run upstairs and down stairs to give papers from nurse desk to Billing desk, when a customer is paying for your services atleast do the billing by yourself. Hidden charges are 20% over and above what they inform you before admission.

  • 1/5 Riki A. 2 years ago on Google
They literally don't care about the patients bed management event if they are in a critical state messing up and add new people even if you are already done the procedures all they want is to take advantage of the free space for more money not the best option if you are looking for a good hospital

  • 1/5 Harish S. 2 years ago on Google
Hospital support staff is good but management is very bad. Hospital management mantra is to loot people. If anyone is admitted in hospital then try to maximize their charges and increase final bill amount. The person sitting in financial lounges who give estimates are trained to give wrong estimates so that person taking estimate gets himself admitted for surgery or delivery etc. And when final bill is generated they add extra things. I was given estimate of 67500/- for ceaserian delivery through TPA I.e. medical insurance. And when final bill was generated it was more than 90000/-. They charged some medicines in bill which were not given and when I talked to patient welfare or feedback team they gave lame excuses and were very adamant and rude in their reply. Overall I will not suggest this hospital to anyone for anything.

Dr Muneendra Gupta and the team did a superb job. Taken care by the specialists themselves was icing on the cake. Nurses and the housekeeping team were warm and caring. The food served was a bummer but was rectified later on by the kitchen team so that needs to be taken care of while serving the patients.

The last time I had my annual general health checkup at Fortis Vasant Kunj was in 2019. Now in June 2023 for the same, I find the basement where the health check up takes place dirty, stained, falling apart in some places, water leaks on the walls that make the paint and plaster work bloat, specifically in the blood collection room which just somehow makes it feel unsanitary. The reception guy who took my payment sent me to sit at the PHC waiting room and if I hadn’t stepped out to enquire, I’d still be sitting there unattended. The booking i made online for the check up did not mention what time i should report to the hospital. When I tried calling the hospital (number found online) the person who answered told me someone will call back with information even though I told her I just need to know reporting time. And no-one called me back. So I got to the hospital at 7:30am and found out I am one and half hours early. Just general lack of customer service and coordination. Was so much better in 2019.

I am writing to let people know the course of treatment that we have received from this hospital recently. It shocked us to know the kind of misleading and factually wrong information have been served by the persons in an emergency to lead the treatment only for the benefit of the hospital. As a repercussion of this faulty treatment, my daughter lost 7 days of her internship, which may cause an extension of her term in the internship. Last week when my daughter suffered an injury from a sharp glass on her foot at home, I took her to the hospital’s outdoor department where we were advised to reach the Emergency section for further assistance. In the Emergency, she was admitted, the person on duty checked her wound and suggested a tetanus injection and also an X-ray. When I asked the reason for suggesting an X-ray, the same person said that it was to check if there were any glass particles remaining near the area of the wound. Then another person in Emergency checked the X-ray plate and pointed to the top edge of 1st metatarsal and showing that it indicated a fracture. He suggested going for a ‘kachha plaster’. Though we were shocked to know how a 200 gm of glass bowl could cause a fracture on the bone, still out of trust and faith in the institution, we agreed. The report of the X-ray was not supplied to us at this point. The discharge prescription listed two painkillers to be continued for 15 days even though my daughter didn’t complain of any pain. In addition, two multivitamins and vitamin D tablets were also prescribed. It also suggested to consult Dr. Dhananjay Gupta, in the OPD after 7 days. On the 8th day after this incident when we visited Dr. Dhananjay Gupta for consultation, he asked for the report. I collected it from the radiology dept. and submitted. I was surprised to see that the report didn’t mention any fractures of bones. Dr. D. Gupta also confirmed that there wasn’t any sign of fracture visible on the X-ray plate. It created confusion and I failed to understand the reason for which the whole drama was created in the Emergency. We felt like been cheated by the team in the Emergency department. Related to this event, I am still unable to figure out the following – 1. When the report of the X-ray didn’t state any fracture of a bone, nor any rapture of tissue was reported by an external check-up, then why a ‘kachha plaster’ was applied? 2. When the X-report reported everything being normal, then why the false interpretation of the X-ray plate stating a fracture was given to us? 3. When there was no pain that indicated any fracture of bone or muscle strain was reported by the patient, why pain relief medicine had been prescribed? Couldn’t it be prescribed on a need basis? 4. In the Emergency, why an orthopedic doctor was not consulted before giving a plaster? 5. How can a consultant doctor of a hospital as a full-time practitioner (Dr. Dhananjay Gupta) refuse to take responsibility for the treatment done by another department and let the patient party down yet ask to retain faith and trust in the institution? 6. Why we will not hold the hospital responsible for the collateral damage this whole misguidance has caused us? Why we will not hold the hospital and the doctors and attendants responsible for the anxiety and trauma the patient and the family had to go through? Hence, I demand a full refund of the billing amount that I paid for the treatment in Emergency and for the OPD consultation along with the medicines that have bought. I have attached the Emergency discharge prescription and the X-report with this mail for your reference. I expect the management of the hospital to take cognizance of the case and arrange to pay us the full refund as soon as possible.

I am delighted to share my positive experience with Dr. Sakshi Chawla, an ENT doctor who treated me for a sore throat and fever. She was incredibly attentive and listened carefully to all of my concerns, asking thoughtful questions to get a full understanding of my symptoms. She explained her diagnosis clearly and thoroughly, making sure that I understood everything she was saying. She also took the time to answer all of my questions. Her treatment plan was effective and I was feeling better within just a few days. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Sakshi Chawla to anyone seeking an ENT doctor. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at one of your billing counters. During my recent visits, I encountered several issues that left me frustrated and dissatisfied with my experience. Firstly, the staff at the billing counter seemed inexperienced and were unable to assist me properly. On several occasions, I was asked to go to another billing counter, which was not properly marked and caused confusion. Additionally, one of the billing counters did not have any symbol or indication that it was a billing counter. This made it difficult for me to locate the correct counter and added unnecessary stress to my visit. Furthermore, I was repeatedly asked for my Aadhaar card, even though I had already registered with Fortis. I found this to be unnecessary and inconvenient, as I had already provided my details during registration. Overall, these issues have left me with a negative impression of Fortis, and I am concerned that such problems could occur again in the future. As a valued customer, I expect better service and attention to detail from your staff. I would like to suggest that Fortis provides better training for its staff, improves signage to ensure that billing counters are clearly marked, and reviews its policies around asking for identification. These steps would go a long way in ensuring that customers have a positive experience when visiting your facilities. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope that Fortis will take the necessary steps to address these concerns and improve its services.

Got a very bitter and worst experience by admitting here... Very rude and non helping nature staff especially in the billing and TPA section. Was in the ICU where the air conditioning was so extreme and on repeated requests nothing else was changed from the management. Had to wait 12 hours and fight for getting discharged. I feel I was better sick than getting admitted here, I came out even with poor physical as well as mental health. I would request anyone who wants to go there to consider AIIMS. Thank you. P.S: Some nurses in the ICU were doing their work with involvement and in the best possible way. I would like to thank them🙏 Mobile charging is not present, which is a major shortcoming⚠️

I had the privilege of being treated at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj after a road traffic accident left me with a fractured arm. From the moment I arrived, I was met with exceptional care and professionalism. The doctors and paramedical staff were not only highly skilled but also incredibly understanding and compassionate, especially the emergency team. Dr Neema Sharma is one of the most outstanding gynaecologists ever. Most polite and awesomely professional and friendly. She explained everything to the patient, my wife, from A to Z and gave full attention to every query. My wife consulted her and was immediately put at ease. The surgery was planned very professionally and just before the surgery she came to the Day care ward with her team and again spoke to my wife and put her at ease. Immediately after the surgery she called me and explained everything in minutest of detail. She again came and visited my wife in the evening in the room and was a real pillar of support to us. You have the worst radiology and gastroenterology departments. Radiologist does not know how to give a report, gastroenterologist do not know the diagnosis and explain the condition in a better way to me. Also the nursing staff is unprofessional. At least hire some better doctors, to give better treatment to patients. I am saying this myself being a medical doctor and I’m afraid about what could be the service being delivered to normal patients. I do not suggest this hospital to anybody. The time you take to process discharge in that time one can travel entire India.

I met Dr Amit Bhargav for my mother’s case. He is one of the most supportive, positive and thorough Doctors I have met. With his calm demeanor, he is able to put a patient or their family’s anxiety at bay and help find a way forward.
