Mathew's Cafe A Road Side South Indian Cafe Famous For Authentic South Indian Food Is Running On A Bus Stand Just Next To Indian Oil Petrol ⛽ Pump. This place serves south indian food from 7 am onwards... till 10 pm . Good for breakfast lovers as it starts early morning... Every time I visit I definitely try Parotha Kurma combo which is unique dish served here. Other popular dishes are like Masala Dosa , Idlli & Vada Sambar , Utthpam , Lemon Rice with Rasam , Daal Vada , Medu Vada & Dahi Vada . This Cafe Has Only stand in eating options and takeouts . Undisputed destination for authentic South Indian food in New Delhi . This place is far better than those upscale and overhyped south Indian restaurants like Sarvanna Bhawan in CP. Super crispy masala dosas are served here with that tangy sambar and coconut chutney to satiate your taste buds in most complete way . There are other items which is going to equally delight you like Vada , Idli , lemon rice , Utpam and Laccha Paratha . The food is served fresh and piping hot in quick time . Prices are reasonable.

If food is your priority, you can't find a better place around. The food is freshly made and is packed with flavors. We had porottas, lemon rice, idli and onion dosa. Everything was spot on. The idli was soft and fresh, the lemon rice was tangy and perfectly cooked but the porottas and dosa definitely took the spotlight. It's a must try. The price is very affordable. We were a group of 5 and our bill was just about ₹400. The only problem is that there isn't any place to sit, you have eat while standing which for most people isn't a problem but can be a grievance for some. Overall, it's an amazing place to eat and I'd definitely recomend it.

Most probably the best South Indian food joint in all of Delhi NCR. Ordered their famous "Porotha Kurma" which was lip smacking. And the best part is- It's only Rs 35. Also Ordered their Masala dosa which was amazing too. The dosa was crisp and the masala was lightly spiced which I like. One can also ask for more sambhar or coconut chutney if needed. The shop also has tables, so it's convenient to eat. The owner and the staff are very friendly and responsive. Must try if you are a fan of South Indian food.

Located just beside the Tamil Sangam building. It's a hidden gem for South Indian food in Delhi. Affordable rates, authentic taste, and scrumptious amount. Loved the Parotta Kurma and Upma. There is no place to sit, but the atmosphere is so lively. Quick service too.

If you love South Indian food then this is the right place for you to eat South Indian dishes. They make fresh food and serve it hot. Especially try their Sambhar vada, which was amazing and crispy. Also tried dosa. It's worth a place to visit once.

This is best South Indian food I’ve had in north India and beats anything I’ve had outside India. Uppma is delicious and coconut chutney is creamy and fresh. Masala soda was crisp and light. They have metal spoons but I was offered plastic. I carry my own and if you want a drink without plastic use your own straw and cup otherwise it’s in paper. Really busy street food stall. No seats. Great fun.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at the quaint roadside eatery Mathew's Cafe, and I have to admit that their Onion Uttapam was really delicious. I had the best possible meal experience with this classic South Indian dish, which was something I never would have imagined. Mathew's Cafe's Onion Uttapam had the ideal harmony of tastes and textures. The uttapam's inherent softness and fluff caught my attention right away. It had the ideal amount of crispiness around the edges and was cooked to perfection. The slightly tart flavor of the batter went really well with the savory undertones of the onions. Speaking of onions, they added a delicious crunch and a burst of flavor to the uttapam when they were liberally and evenly sprinkled throughout. The sambar and coconut chutney that went with it were also really good. The thick and savory sambar enhanced the entire taste of the dish, and the creamy coconut chutney provided a pleasant hint of coconut sweetness. The cleanliness and hygienic conditions at Mathew's Cafe caught my attention. Though it was a roadside food shop, the personnel upheld impeccable hygiene standards, and the service was prompt and amiable. With a full stomach and a joyful heart, I departed from Mathew's Cafe. I would heartily recommend the Onion Uttapam to anyone looking for a taste of actual South India. It was a true culinary jewel. Without a doubt, Mathew's Cafe has earned a place on my list of favorite restaurants, and I'll be going back for this .

It’s good place to try South Indian food. The best is Parotta Kurma only at Rs40 per plate. Can u believe it ? Masala Dosa was very normal taste. Atmosphere was good and there is always crowd because of its taste and Basic pricing.

Lovely little place, Street side. Quick delivery of your orders and food is always very fresh and very warm. Matthew's means Memories to me and to thousands of others who have been visiting this place since long. No matter what I eat here or get packed for home, always have two or three of their quickly. Starbucks may be a great place to sit with fancy options on the menu but this is real deal, made with love, served with love.

Felt normal. Had paneer dosa which was my first try of paneer in dosa. It was good and I should really say that this must be one good experience of dosa with good chutney and sambar compared to others I had in Delhi NCR (I'm new in town 😌) but the vada accompanied was so not so good. Onion dosa was also good but nothing beyond that. Unfortunately the porotta was over which was the most anticipated part from mathew's 😭 and I felt that the staff was not that polite too 😐 My south indian origin might be a problem 😂 in judging the taste maybe 😬🤞 so I'm not claiming it completely 😂 please do try and lemme know 😉

Great place to eat quick fast tasty South Indian. Parking your vehicle will be a hassle as it's right on the road so consider parking in the colony behind and walk out through the gate to eat here

It's a roadside food joint, only standing. Dosa is the special item. Very affordable. Chutney and sambhar is always fresh. Located near Delhi Tamil Sangam in RK Puram, this is a very famous South Indian roadside eatery. Parking is an issue.

I have been visiting this place for more than 20 years now, I saw this place growing from a small tuck shop to a big shop with tables now to stand and eat, food is awesome and at a reasonable rate. Owner is a Gem of a man, very courteous and kind. This view is my personal and unbiased opinion.

Best South Indian food that u can get in Delhi. Price doesn't matter, this shop even beats Karnataka Bhawan restaurant and even Sankalp restaurant. About service, u just say and its on your plate within 5 minutes. And if u r a foodie u don't care about the ambiance(don't be a consoneiver) then u r missing somethgest on offer. We just loved this and i promise u won't regret it coming here.

The outlet is located on the pavement, next to the Petrol Pump. The food is good which is why i keep going but as is expected of a roadside eatery, chances of getting hygienic food is always an iffy. Saying so as i have found a cockroach in my Sambar (had ordered Vada Sambar). That said, if you are on a budget, you can head to this place. On days when there are no surprises in the food, the food tastes pretty good. I had Porotta-Kurma when i visited here the last time. Visit here for economical south indian fare.

A must visit place outside Tamil Sangam to have Tamil cuisine available for breakfast and brunch. Dinner can be checked. Road side parking and no sitting facility to have food. Older people and children can utilise car for having food. A cheap place to have. The kitchen is open and can see how the food is getting prepared.

Mathews Cafe.. it’s a road side eatery just outside Tamil sangam in RK PURAM area of New Delhi.. I love this place for the simple fact that it offers soulful food with love and speed… You can enjoy food here on an early morning bfast as it opens as early as 7am… it’s not a dine in.. you have to stand at eat at the few tables available… It’s a self service cafe so pay and collect your order.. Idli , Wada, Stew with Parotta are worth trying… Enjoy this sweet little joint in the heart of Delhi

It's a nice place. Generally crowded, and in peak hours, of course over crowded! The place has a limited menu. But the food is delicious and hearty. They serve with equal love and affection. No seating. It is a place where you cannot return empty stomach. Loved the place. Only if they add some more spices in the masala dosa aloo, it'd be great!

See it's simple..if you love your idlis and Malabar parathas and dosas and upmas..you necessarily have to come here...the most fresh, VFM, most tasty and most most authentic collage of South Indian Cuisine..served with love... PS: try to have it standing there...they do pack and serve..but it tastes best there only...

They are famous because they are at the same spot from my childhood, the taste is not as per mark. Fortunately I've had better dosa and uttapam at cheaper cost in saket and Lodhi road.

When I think of eating south Indian food, this is one of the place which comes to my mind. I have been visiting this food joint since childhood. There has been change in the taste and of course prices but I would confidently mention about the good quality food being served here . Even the taste is convince you it's worth coming here for South Indian food. However , cleanliness is the major issue here which should be given priority and food should be served in clean utensils.

Good South Indian food at low cost. Don't need to wait much to get the ordered food. Dine in option is limited as you get to stand and have food on 4 tables, no chairs. Food is fresh and pleasant. Tea and coffee here are nothing special. All in all a good place for a quick snack or brunch.

One more South Indian food availability in morning in Delhi. Variety of Uttpam, Dosa, Vada, Idli, Parotta with Lassi, tea and coffee available. You can take away also. Decide -> pay -> take coupon -> get your food.

Quite good south Indian food in south Delhi at affordable price. Their Porotta Kurma is a good option for 40/- They charge 60/- for two vadas with chutney which is not worth for the price.
