Vijay Ghat is the memorial of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India. “Vijay” means “Victory.” The memorial was named after India attained victory over Pakistan in the 1965 war under his Prime Ministership. Vijay Ghat is located near Raj Ghat on Mahatma Gandhi Road, also called main Ring Road. This is on the banks of River Yamuna on the south east side of Red Fort. The memorial is the spot where the Prime Minister was cremated. Prayer services are conducted annually on his birth anniversary, which falls on October 2, and death anniversary, which falls on January 11. The memorial is visited by international dignitaries and heads of state.

Awesome please. Much appreciated. Writing a review about the memorial of martyrs is not an easy task but it's well worth of its visit. Surrounding area is also very nice and security is very high. I would rate this place 6/5 star if possible.

There's nothing so much to find out but there is still a lake which is created by collecting rain water. This lake also contains some fisheries, swans and some birds.

Vijay Ghat is the memorial of India's second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Vijay means victory and his memorial was named after the victory he led India to in the 1965 war against Pakistan. This feeding ground is just outside the Vijay Ghat. 1000’s of pigeons, 100’s of eagles and mouse come and feed. People come to feed at this place from early morning till late evening. It’s bank opposite the Red Fort.
