Well this is the India's second largest temple, & asia's third largest temple around the world. Apart from this basic general knowledge, the good thing is entry is free but only for the "darshan" When it comes to shows, you have to pay for that, where the light/fountain show is most recommended if you are not opting for full package show ticket. Phone/Camera/Bags are not allowed inside temple, so make sure you keep in your car or either you can keep them in locker room which is also free to access. Keep in mind, if you are going in rush hour then put our items/goods in your car/own space which will save your time in standing in queue. Akshardham Temple or Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex is a prestigious fascination in Delhi and it gloats its profound and social exercises spreading over the city. The mind boggling invites you to comprehend and break down the conventional Hindu and Indian culture, deep sense of being and design. Being a standout amongst the most went by vacation spots in Delhi, the sanctuary has magnificence and dynamic quality, amazing by whatever else. The banks of the excellent Yamuna River in eastern Delhi offer space to the complex and the development was by the Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra.

As the sun sets, please take your seat at this traditional step well and experience an eternal truth. Transport yourself to the courtyard of the gods and watch the innocence of children challenge the powers of the mighty! THE SHOW The Sahaj Anand Water Show is a breathtaking 24-minute presentation which unites a variety of intriguing media to bring to life a story from the Kena Upanishad. Multi-color lasers, video projections, underwater flames, water jets and surround sound in symphony with lights and live actors produce a captivating and inspiring presentation. International experts contributed their expertise with BAPS volunteers and sadhus to produce this one-of-a-kind presentation. THE STORY Children play around a lake and are amazed to see the water joining in their fun. Soon, through their dance and song, a flower is created from the water of the lake. However, their merriment disturbs the devas - gods of the elements - who are celebrating a victory over the demons. The children’s seemingly feeble flower is in danger of being destroyed by the wrath of the gods. The innocence and hope of children is pitted against the powers and ego of the devas. As events unfold, discover whether the flower survives. Learn the secret of Sahaj Anand – innate, spontaneous bliss. This story is adapted from the Kena Upanishad, one of the many treasures of knowledge and wisdom from the Vedic era. TICKETS AND TIMINGS Tickets: Adults (Age 12+): ₹ 80 Seniors (Age 60+): ₹ 80 Children (Age 4 – 11): ₹ 50 Children (Below Age 4): Free Timings: First show starts soon after sunset. Multiple shows may be held during weekends or public holidays. (Currently 6:15 PM & 7:15 PM) Time to See: 24 minutes Note: In windy conditions, the audience may get wet by fountain water. Very very beautiful and mesmerising to watch the water show. Too beautiful to be missed. Literally, was one of the best experiences and I would say it is the best place to visit in Delhi. So refreshing and enchanting. Keeping the phone away for a while and enjoying the beauty raw and pure has never been much better. Would recommend visiting in the evening time so that you don't miss the water show. Tickets are affordable at Rs. 90 per person, go and enjoy the divine beauty!!

As no mobile phone allowed inside, it is very difficult for us to find someone if anyone get missing because of two reason 1. Very much crowded after the water show is over 2. Can't expect any help from security personnel (not from a single person) even you request again and again. though we have requested them for announcements but they don't bother. It's takes almost an hour to find my old relative with the help of other visitor.

Mesmerizing temple architecture. Well maintained, and systematic. The carving on marble and the intricate work done on the architecture is beautiful and one will not find anywhere in the world. Food is less spicy but hygienic. Any foreigner visit India, must visit this place.

This light show is magical and breathtaking. I have never seen water used as a movie screen to display 3 dimensional images. The play of water and light is so clever and mesmerizing. This is a must see for all tourists. No cell phones are allowed but you can look at the photo section to get a clue.

Sahaj Anand - Multimedia water show is special feature of Delhi Akshardham which is based on Kena Upnishad. The timing of the water show is at 7:45 pm. I personally recommend if you plan to visit Delhi Akshardham please dedicate 7 to 8 hr mostly from afternoon 2 to 9 so you can cover almost all parts of it. Lastly the monument of this premise is wonderland of this earth because the language of the stone surpasses the language of human. Have a good journey 🙌

Waste of public money to make a place like this and claim himself God by a human being... Such a huge please could have been useful to make several possible facility to create jobs and better life rather than just a useless piece of so called MANDIR of some BABA...

A visual treat. It combined laser lights, precision projection, actual human dance performance and musical fountains to tell a musical story. It beautifully utilized the contours of the buildings around the Akshar dham arena to create objects out of thin air. Was a real treat to watch. I had seen videos of such beautiful shows abroad, to see it in India in person was a different experience altogether.
