Let me tell you about this 1000-star incredible little restaurant! It is everything you wish a small town Cafe could be, like something out of a story. The environment lulls you into feeling relaxed and happy with its calming atmosphere. Dolly the dog will make sure you are entertained. And don't get me started on the food. A rotating menu of always-fresh, always-unique, always-tasty food. Michelle knows what she's doing, I'm convinced she has some magic up her sleeve! Side note, try these items on the menu: the bourbon Walnut cookies and the bourbon Chai tea. You will not regret it!

WOW! If you are near Bourbon, MO go directly to Michelle’s Bourbon St Cafe NOW! Amazing doesn’t begin to describe your experience here.. from Dolly, the dog, who greets you to the cozy inviting ambiance to the authentic live music from local talent—they play all day! Michelle’s desserts were voted best in MO! Sadly, they only serve the biscuits and gravy on Sat and Sun, so we will be back in 2 days!! Enjoy!!

Michelle was great and very enthusiastic. She was delighted to discover my companion and I are hikers as she’s one too. Loved the bacon egg and cheese bagel and the little teapot of hot earl grey. ❤️

Doing Route 66 and the old road, we took the recommended detour into Bourbon. Very glad we did, Michelle and Don were very welcoming and the interior layout of the café was a delight. Very refreshing and unexpected in such a small town. I had the walnut pie, made to Dolly Parton's mothers original recipe. My wife had the soup which went down a treat. Having not tried the butter cake in St Louis, Michelle said we should, so we did and it was good. Please visit this cafe when you are anywhere close.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon, a three month road trip camping through the national parks. We were so blown out of the water by this place. The interior is so welcoming, with tables, chairs and sofas scattered about it feels more like Grandma's house than a Cafe in the best of ways. Michelle, the owner was super sweet, warm and helped us with recommendations. She even gave us detailed instructions to a local hiking spot with an amazing view. We ended up ordering a lot of different items because everything looked and sounded so good. There was also live music, and the musician came over and talked to us, and offered to play some requests since we were newlyweds. This was such a beautiful memory and we might have to make the drive from Virginia just to visit this place again because it would absolutely be worth it!

What a wonderful place! Stopped there on a way to Joplin. A very cute café with homey feel, beautifully decorated. Michelle, the owner, came to chat with us. The locals have their coffee mugs there. And the food has gluten free and sugar free options as well as all kinds of plant based milk. They were very helpful in suggesting the food choices. Everything tasted fresh and home made.

We found this charming cafe on our little getaway in a local airbnb! This place offered such a unique twist to the small town! The homemade food was hands down the BEST! The owners and staff were even better! And you even get a little bit of Dolly Parton in the cafe! The decor and atmosphere made our welcome feel complete as well as their dog Dolly! We enjoyed live music as we ate as well! I would recommend this spot to anyone! Thank you so much for the service you provide!

Bourbon Café and Coffee Saloon seamlessly marries vintage charm with a contemporary twist. The combination of old and new is a visual delight, creating an atmosphere that's both cozy and exciting. From perfectly crafted breakfast panini’s to mouthwatering pastries, every dish is a culinary masterpiece. Each bite is an explosion of flavors that will leave your taste buds begging for more. The Heartwarming Touch of Michelle: One of the highlights of our visit was meeting the owner, Michelle. Her warm and friendly demeanor, coupled with outstanding customer service, made our experience all the more memorable. Michelle shared the story of her journey in rehabbing the building, seamlessly blending the old with the new. Her passion for what she's created shines through, and her genuine sweetness left a lasting impression on us. At my wife's suggestion, we made the short trip to Bourbon to have an early breakfast at the Coffee Saloon. Immediately, we were struck by the cozy, relaxed atmosphere. With bar seating, table seating, and a small lounge with sofa and chairs, there is plenty of room for any size group and duration of stay. The menu was equally diverse, with contemporary healthy options alongside country comfort food. Michelle and her staff are super friendly and treated us like family despite this being our first time in. The food was divine; I highly recommend the loaded biscuits and gravy. And the coffee is unbeatable if you appreciate a quality roast. We ate our fill, did NOT leave hungry, and took some dessert home to enjoy with dinner. One note: they have a small, dedicated staff and EVERYTHING is made from scratch with love and sells out quick. Unless you call in your order ahead of time, this is not an in-and-out kind of place. Come early when you've got time to enjoy the atmosphere and savor your meal. We look forward to making this a regular haunt in the months and years to come. Thank you, Michelle!
