Visiting from Houston Texas and my family, the Gross' took us here so we could try something that we don't have down south and they were right! Absolutely incredible. We filled the table with appetizers and not one disappointed. Then my dish, there Chicken Lombardi was out of this world. Chicken, spicy sausage, peppers and potatoes. OMG. I hear that you really can't go wrong with anything. If you're thinking of stopping by while visiting the area, definitely do so. If you're local... I'm jealous. 😊 Uncle Joe was our waiter and he was also incredible. Way to go guys!

My husband got a gift card here so we made the trip to give it try as we had heard so many rave reviews. We popped into the pizzeria and ordered a large cheese pie and garlic knots. Unfortunately the garlic knots were positively soaked in oil and somehow raw and burnt garlic? inedible. The pizza looked great but had a chemical taste like soap or cleaner? It was also burnt on the bottom so it could have been that. The sauce and cheese tasted awful too. I had to spit it out it was so vile.

Pretty good spot here sat on the Patio side it definitely beautiful inside great vibes atmosphere and the food was pretty good as well had the veal park was very thin and tender sauce was delicious vodka sauce was delicious as well the bread was great to start off and the peanut butter moose was good as well definitely will be back need to try some pizza next time as well

The restaurant is decorated beautifully. There is a nice bar right up front and plenty of tables towards the middle and back of the restaurant. It's a great spot for large groups. There is plenty of space. The service was good, they were attentive. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. Would recommend and would return.

My visit to King Umberto's of Elmont was the best. First of all, the complimentary house salad with the grilled onions was amazing!!!!! I could have eaten a bowl of it by itself and died a happy customer. But all of the food was delicious, as were the drinks and the service is hard to beat anywhere!! The mozzarella caprese was the best I've ever had!!! From the second I crossed the threshold until I left after the fantastic meal, the service could not have been more awesome, the entire staff--10 stars!! All of my co-workers love this place, and now I understand why. I'm already planning on my next visit! This restaurant will not disappoint!

As a native Brooklynite and resident, this is probably ranks Top 5 pizza shops in the NYC area. Bit of a drive but whenever I visit LI, I try to make it down here. The quality ingredients, crust, and flavors are perfectly balanced. Not just 1 specific slice (like Prince St's pepperoni square). EVERY slice is excellent. Go there. Haven't tried their pasta yet but the kitchen on the restaurant half smells fantastic. Can't wait to try it.

We had a great dinner. My friends and I randomly picked King Umberto's after the Belmont Stakes and were really surprised by how good the meal was. The meal wasn't cheap by any means, $270 or so for four of us (including a $100 bottle of wine, so $40-$50/person for a few apps and 4 entrees). That said, the food was great, we all left very filled.

This place is amazing! The servers are very kind and patient. Food is amazing! I was only in the area for 2 days and had to go twice. We went for dessert one night and then for lunch the next day. Next time I gotta try their patio dining, it looks beautiful in there! The place is MUCH BIGGER than it looks!

My family and I walked into the restaurant. First, my daughter that’s 17 years old walked in to get our table. The owner gave her a nasty look and said “you do know this side of the restaurant doesn’t sell slices of pizza right?”. Then, the hostess proceeded to give her a nasty look. I walked in a few minutes later and the guy said “you look good.” In a very sarcastic tone. We sat down at the table and ordered the food. Our waiter was named Giovanni, I decided to order veal for my mother. He proceeded to give me a nasty look and say “you do know the price is anywhere from $56-$60”. Implying that I don’t have money due to the way I was dressed. My daughter owned some salmon dish, and when she ate it, she found fish bones inside of the dish. There are no bones inside of salmon , which made no sense. Giovanni also never would give us refills, we would have to ask multiple times. I had the veal Marcella and the dish was terrible. The owner walks over and decided to say “hey I took it off your $300 bill.”. This was the Worst service I have ever received. I felt so mistreated when money is money. He was making it seem as if I was going to dine and dash because of my outfit. People were wearing the same exact outfits as me and my daughter but they never commented towards them. I always eat out and never have been treated like this before. This was very disrespectful, the only reason I didn’t get up was because of my family. Plus I left a $40 tip that he didn’t deserve.

Spectacular food and experience. The veal parmesan was the absolute BEST I ever had. The staff was gracious and they brought over extra deserts on the house. This all made niece's graduation more meaningful. 💗☺️

It's been a while, but I hadn't forgotten about my first experience here. So, I had to return and the pizza here is even better than it was then. I see they've also added a beautiful open area to enjoy. Anyway, the staff is SO cordial and welcoming. That also keeps you coming back and love how they'll throw in a complimentary slice...if YOU'RE NICE!

Always a great meal ! Been coming for over 40 years.We had a family and friends gathering (10 people) and everyone loved the decor and food! We reserved the patio location ! Beautiful and elegant! Our friends from Australia were so happy ! Fried Capellini ! Fried calamari , baked clams for starters. Main course We tried the white bolognese and that is a must try ! Veal Marsala , chicken parm , a special white seafood pasta & linguine frittata del mare was delicious and full of seafood! The server was excellent! ( His name was Vergil) (sorry if I misspelled the name ) and worked there for 26 year! It’s a testament to hold employees for that long! Good owners and you will have great employees. He remembered everything and split the orders for us to share family style! So everyone had a taste of the delicious food! Always hot and prepared fresh.

We've been going to King Umberto's since it was a tiny pizzeria.Every Thursday night after my late night working at the bank, Sal and the wait staff would sit and have us try a new dish he just made with a nice glass of wine which turned into our family tradition..Christenings,Communions,graduations, birthdays,holiday parties and finally our Daddy's funeral.KU is family and always will be.Who better to celebrate the circle of life with.Thanks for the beautiful memories and sharing the best part of life together. Just had dinner in their new patio area which is beautiful. Santos was our server. He was amazing!!!! He's very friendly and made great suggestions on what to order. The bus boys are very attentive. Plates were cleared in a timely fashion and we were never left without water. The food speaks for itself. We cleared EVERY dish we had. There were 3 of us. We split 2 appetizers, each of us had our own dinners and we shared a dessert. Portions are very generous. There's nothing I wouldn't recommend. Even the table side wine service is impeccable.

Was excited to go to this place for the first time after looking through Yelp for Restaurants in Astoria. The menu had some interesting choices but about half of them were a disappointment. We had the opportunity to find a table outside in the back, which has an amazing ambiance and well decorated. After leaving and thinking about the night, it occurred to me that the food is overpriced, very oily and the service was lacking a bit.

Looking for a home cooked Greek meal, look no further! Loukoumi Taverna transports you back to Greece with its hearty menu at really well priced meals. The service is friendly and attentive, the servers recommendations were spot on. The meat grill plate for $26 served for 2-3 people comfortably is delicious. The octopus hands down requires a return trip to enjoy this plate again. Parking on the street is a little difficult but don’t let that deter you from enjoying fantastic Greek food!

Being greek...it's hard to eat greek food out... but Loukoumi was awesome! All the food was delicious and fresh, as if you were in Greece at a local taverna, but there was some dishes that were special and unique, loved trying them. The owner is warm and funny, and very generous and hospitable...she send us drinks and apps on the house. Also kid friendly and great decor, a complete 5 Star, ty!

King Umberto is the true KING! Favorite pie to date is there metro pie. Old school meets new school. Crust is crispy, sauce, mozzarella, basil is perfection. If you are a pizza lover this is a must-stop shop on Long Island. You will not be disappointed.

SUPER DELISH! ~ my hunnnie’s Jeff’s firm has season tix to the UBS arena for the Islanders! We were heading there tonight for a special event so I looked up restaurants close by! This came up so we made reservations! What a great find! 👍🏻👍🏻 Especially since we tend to be at the UBS arena alot for non-islander events when the Dime club ain’t available. The place is big inside and has an expansive menu! We got the Caesar salad and Burrata fig as apps to start! Then had two of the specials! Veal tortellini and the Osco Posco 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️(spelling?!~ I always mess the name of this dish up…😂😂😂) ~ you know! It’s common! Anyway~ all was sooo good! For cocktails I had a French martini and a Pinot Grigio with dinner! My hunnnies stuck with a Diet Coke! We were pressed for time so had to pass on the dessert but would def recommend especially if you are heading to the ubs arena on a non event when food choice are non existent or limited. 💖🥳💖👏🏻💖 PS~ my Huns and I share everything! So the Caesar salads and tortellini are split up so just posting my portion of the dish. 😻😻

Food fit for a King! I have driven here twice from NYC to sit in their gorgeous, capacious dining room and have amazing Italian food. Like their unique (to me) fried capellini. Even their bread and rolls are unusually good. Unfortch I got so engrossed in the meal I neglected to take pix, except of the spinach salad I took to go.

Brought my wife out for a pre-Mother’s Day dinner. We used to be regulars, but today was our first time back in about 12 years. I can honestly say, nothing has changed. It is, was and always will be an amazing experience. Flavorful food, elegant ambiance, and amazing staff. I think I need to become a regular again.

King Umbertos has always had the best grandma's pizza...and very generous toppings. They have expanded their varieties over the years and have some great combinations ready to order by the slice.

First time there and it did not disappoint. The deep dish pepperoni was outrageous. I was there with 5 kids on a Friday night at 4:45 they had plenty of staff and were quick to serve us and help in any way needed. The kids lived all of their different slices as well. I can't wait to go back!

Was back for the first time in a long time and it was worth the wait. Got a table in the dinning room for that old world feel. The bruschetta was amazing, I had the fresh made farfalle while others at the tabled raved about their veal saltimbocca. The wine selection is excellent as well as the desserts. Highly recommend the place.

We asked for a pizza with fig, which didn't exist and 10 minutes later we had a fig, bacon and goat cheese pizza. It was perfection. John did an amazing job and honestly didn't have to put so much effort in, but he did and it was appreciated. The pizza is great, the staff is even better.

Oh mama the grandma! Stopped in on our way back home because I had heard great things. A guy named Jake was working the door and could not have been nicer. Not only is the food great but you can tell these people are super passionate about what they do. The hospitality is off the charts. I wish I lived in the area, I'd be in here 3-4 days a week. Definitely try the metro, the grandma and the fried capellini. Unbelievable place, will definitely be back!

Omg hands down the best food, amazing service, everyone from the host to the bartender on the way out acknowledging us!!!!! Ciro the manager was so accommodating and treats us like family. Alex the waiter was beyond great!!!! He remembers all our favorite things and even asks about family that couldn't make it that he only met once. I wish I could give 10 stars. I had a vodka and a carbanora sicilian slice which were amazing. Had me wanting more. Everything in the showcase looked good. It's been awhile since I've been there but I'll definitely be going back soon. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This place is my new favorite restaurant! The fried capelli was even better than all the posted reviews and the Burrata with Fig Brûlée were incredible appetizers. The cavatelli and short ribs just melted in your mouth. The service was 5 star...we had Alex and he was incredible. Can’t wait to come back again and again!

NOT outdoors at all. You are full on indoors. And it is hot. Dressed for the cold, and that was a mistake. It seemed ok at 5:30, but if we arrived when we left, we wouldn’t have stayed. I got tested after dining there. Well over 100 people, moving from table to table mask-less like they’re in Goodfellas saying how ya doin to the other tables, manager shaking hands with person after person. My personal favorite, the fire department Santa, taking full laps without a mask.

King Umberto was completely satisfying! From the interesting exterior to the comfortable, classic feeling, yet modern, interior the place feels like quality. We were greeted at the door and were made to feel welcome. The service was friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh and flavorful with satisfying portion sizes. I am glad I tried King Umberto and will definitely return when I'm in their neck of the woods again.

Best Italian restaurant out there. If you go you must get the original fried capellini, they started it and you will never taste anything like it.

I was with my girlfriend and a couple of friends, none of us really ever had authentic Greek before. We choose this place because the menu appeared great. Immediately when we entered we were greeted and treated like family. Our waiter was probably the nicest person I have ever met. He pointed us towards meals that we (being typically non-Greek eaters) towards menu options that he thought was best, and he knocked it out of the park. I had the Brizolakia Hirina and I am proud to say I cleaned my plate. The Tzatziki was out of this world especially when paired with fresh pita that he kept us loaded with. I also tried some lamb which I have never eaten before, it was delicious. I highly recommend eating here.

Best Greek restaurant in NYC! Food is much more carefully prepared than in rival Astoria restaurants and don’t even get me started on their amazing galaktoboureko! Their salmon is to die for and they have the best lemon potatoes this side of the Aegean!! I should probably not post this review as it was already hard to get a table there, but the food is just so good!! If you are lucky you will get friendly with the owner and staff! Don’t pass on the Greek coffee and ouzo!

It’s an ok place. The food is well prepared, but not as good as Telly’s or Dionysos nearby. There are some plates which are quite unique or stand out (Kritiki Tigania - or a stir fried mix of mushrooms, onions and liver) but nothing will really blow your mind away. The upside: it carries ouzo from Chios (brand name: “Kazanisto”) The downside: very happy and polite service, but slow, esp. on a Sunday brunch.

Probably one of the best Greek restaurants in Queens and you can tell they take pride in it. Definitely worth the visit if you love this cuisine.

This place is delicious. Their fried zucchini is just perfect! Their calamari is delicious and obviously very fresh. They have a robust selection of imported Greek wines. The service is so warm, attentive and loving. Me and my family had a wonderful dinner here. Truly a hidden gem on the upper part of Ditmars. Thank you for the hospitality!

I enjoyed the restaurant very much. I started off with the grilled octopus. It was very tasty. I ordered the chicken souvlaki. It was very good and juicy. The meal came with pita and tziki sauce. The sauce was very good. The service was great. The ambience was cute and cozy. I do think that the meal was a bit pricey and should be $$$.

The best taverna in all of NYC! My family and I have been coming here for years. The appetizers, fish, meat, desserts, and service are all out of this world. The owner, Maria and her husband make you feel like you are home. The staff is so genuine, accommodating, and friendly. If you love seafood or Mediterranean food then you must come here! Whenever my friends come from the airport, we always stop here and they are always blown away. 10/10!!!

Drove from Hell's Kitchen to here for Valentines day dinner and it was absolutely worth it. The food came out quick on a busy night and it was like a home cooked Sunday meal at my families. The food, staff, and ambience felt like a family dinner. We will be back and with more friends. Thank you for having us!

Being at this restaurant reminded me what it was like to be back home, with endless dishes of incredible food, wine, and laughter flowing constantly. Despite coming on Valentine’s Day, one of the busiest nights and while also hosting a large event in the back, Loukoumi seated us immediately and after ordering, we got our food within minutes and we never waited or stayed hungry. Let me emphasize that last point, because the gracious owner made sure that we were always accommodated and happy. She wasn’t just our waitress that night but in a sense was our “Mama”. She would not only bring us what we ordered but would also surprise us with dishes from the kitchen for us to try because she was just so excited that we were enjoying our night at her restaurant. Despite this being my second time in this restaurant, I felt like I’ve been here my whole life because it brings back memories of my childhood. I had my own Anton Ego ratatouille moment every time I tried any of the dishes. For the price, the environment, and the hospitality, you will struggle finding a better place than Loukoumi. Going to a restaurant usually feels so transactional but at Loukoumi, it was like I was having dinner with my family.

I’ve grown up here my whole life and King Umberto’s (Elmont location) absolutely did not disappoint. It was truly five star service and even the owner was working and supporting the staff! The prices are very reasonable and they give you tons of fresh food. We ordered seafood pasta and eggplant parmigiana off menu and it was DELICIOUS. The eggplant was very flavorful and I liked that it was thinly sliced and layered. The seafood pasta was FILLED with tons of seafood and was also very flavorful and amazing! Highly recommend this place.

Amazing local gem! I went with a friend who is a regular and the servers, hostess and owner came over to say hello and introduce themselves. We started with their signature appetizer the fried capellini. I was saying to myself how good can it be it's just fried pasta, I was totally wrong it was ridiculous so creamy it was the perfect bite. For the main dish I had the sea scallop special over risotto it was excellent, my friends had the branzino and the seafood linguini pasta they were very happy with their choices. The dessert we had the lava cake with ice cream it was solid. Highly recommend overall I give it 9/10!

We've been coming here for years and have always left happy and full. The food is great and the service is fantastic. It's one of our favorite restaurants. They recently opened a new patio building next door to the main restaurant which we have been meaning to try out. We finally went to the patio this past Saturday and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was very cool and we enjoyed our experience. They are also a full pizza restaurant in the front of the main building and the pizza is really good. Highly recommend the cappellini bites on the appetizer menu.

My family always comes here for our Italian food needs. We love the vodka pies, Elmont pies & garlic knots to go. Fried calamari is a must when we dine in. We dine in on some occasions and they’re always good to us.
