5 star all cross the board, food service and atmosphere! The kurtosh was so light and fluffy, you can tell the ingredients are imported from Hungary. The owner (don’t know her name) was very sweet and welcoming. I loved how she walked us through the whole experience since it was our first time. Will definitely be back !

Just Wow! So many things to say here...delicious and truly special! The Kurly Kurtosh (Hungarian Chimney Cake) is a light, soft and crispy (at the same time), truly unique pastry treat. Can be eaten in so many different ways...with ice cream, or other toppings / coated with yummy things like oreo or walnut, cinnamon and more...or go with traditional cake right from the oven. A fun aspect is you can watch the whole process of your customized treat being rolled as dough through the baking and coating until it comes out nice and warm. The owner is welcoming and takes such pride in her specialty craft, taking the time to share with customers how important the quality of the ingredients are and the extra care she takes in procuring them from around the world! The shop is clean, bright and comfortable to sit and enjoy your delight. Highly recommend...it s worth the trip! Slice of Hungary right in NJ!

We were greeted with a warm welcoming upon entering this establishment and the owner spoke to us briefly about the background of this delicious dessert. We were able to see how it is made before having our orders patiently taken! In the meantime we were offered a sample of lemonade and different flavored ice cream. This dessert is like no other, the soft yet crunchy dough paired perfectly with the fresh ice cream. You could taste the quality of the ingredients used. My coworkers and I ended up staying and talking for a while as the environment is so comforting and cozy! We will definitely be coming back.

What a wonderful surprise "Kurly Kürtősh" was, tucked in the neighborhoods of Nutley! Upon arrival, I was immediately welcomed with a smile and warmth by the owner and another employee of the establishment. Seeing that my friend and I were new to the "experience" of Hungarian chimney cakes, Nicole (the Owner) took it upon herself to explain it's brief history, the quality of ingredients it takes to produce this popular street food, and the different types of chimney cakes they were offering. It was quite impressive! After much deliberation --- she even offered us lemonade! --- I settled on a "glazed" chimney cake, with a wonderful berry/chocolate ice-cream on the side. After a few photos for the socials, I had a seat --- and the environment --- was so warm and relaxing that we have stayed for more than an hour at this wonderful establishment! Don't believe me? Take a look at the photos yourself. Become a believer? Visit Kurly Kürtősh and ask for Nicole...she will treat you not just as customers, but as GUESTS. 5/5 would recommend!

Just passed by here before closing and it was worth the stop! The two lovely ladies behind the counter explained the dessert flavors and let us sample tastes them. I end up getting cinnamon cone with black raspberry ice cream and Nutella drizzle. The flavors were so rich and delicious! I'm going to go back (and early) and try the other flavors!

Kurly Kürtősh is my family’s happy place - the dessert is exceptional and authentic, the shop is bright, warm and welcoming, and the owner Nicole is simply the BEST. We had Kurly Kürtősh cater our Christmas party and the chimney cakes were a hit with everyone. Great dessert and phenomenal business 😍

I'm so glad to have found this place! It's my second time at Kurly Kürtősh and each time it has been an amazing experience. The kürtőskalác are freshly baked right in front of you and the ice cream and toppings are top notch. I'd consider this place gourmet and highly recommend it! So definitely stop by if you're in the area!

My first time visit at Kurly Kurtosh was amazing. I have never had a kurtosh or a chimney cake. It was a fun experience learning about this Hungarian pastry and how it is made. Nicole did a great job in explaining and welcoming me. I tried the plain kurtosh with dulce de leche ice cream and toppings. It was delicious! Next time, I must bring friends. I recommend coming here for the sweet treat experience.
