If you have patience, you can definitely enjoy yourself here. If you’re rushing I’d recommend somewhere else. The atmosphere is quaint, inviting and laid back. The art is appealing and the staff, friendly.

I had the pleasure of having a brief stop here to complete some work. The staff was mannerable, reggae music played softly while the smell of coffee pervaded the air. The parking is pretty much none existent, and I suggest having a relationship with the persons next door to use theirs. I didn't use the hostel so I can't speak to its' experience. I'd definitely return another time.

This is my local independent coffee shop, a short drive from my office. It also happens to be my preferred place to sit and have a coffee, pastry and a chat. The interior details and ambiance are top tier, giving that relaxing tropical vibe. Natural hand-sawn woods, wicker and earthen tiles adorn the interiors. The baristas are from Deaf Can - so you know the lattes are phenomenal and served with a smile. There are a few curated speciality drinks that are also worth trying. They have an on-site kitchen serving a variety of dishes, including lots of vegan & vegetarian options. Consider riding your bicycle. Enjoy Latin Nights. Or live music.

Ordered an Americano iced coffee. It was good, could have used more condensed milk for sweetness but I loved the strong coffee taste. Bottom half of the coconut muffin was a bit over cooked but the muffin top was heaven. They sometimes have events here at night. Other than that the vibes in the coffee shop during the day are chill. It’s clean. And the staff are attentive and friendly 💜

The service at Ragamuffin is always excellent, the coffee is good but my favorite thing to stop for is the acai fruit bowl.🤤 I am never disappointed with that. it is also a great space for working remotely and mini meetings.

Really great place to kick back, get some work done or chill and catch up with friends. They also have affordable vegan and non vegan food options, great asthetic for relaxation. I went with my bestie and it did not disappoint. Ratings to the staff. They made it feel like home. And it's right beside veggie campus which is a vegan restaurant if you need more options! ☝🏾 I wrote that about 4 months ago So let me update it. It's even more amazing as I go more often... NOT TO MENTION LATIN DANCE NIGHT!!!!! ON THURSDAYS !!!! The class is free from 5pm to 6pm. Point is the vibe is great!!!! Also they have a hostel too so you can stay there and you will more than likely meet cool new people.

I've never stayed in the hostel but I do frequent the cafe either during the day, or, for their event nights. Both are highly recommended! The only thing better than their coffee are their cocktails so you better not miss either. I've been there during the day just to have a quick coffee and muffin, and I've been there to set up my laptop and get to work. The staff are super accommodating in either scenario. Everyone is sincerely so sweet and welcoming. I'd make it my permanent office if they had more tables! Love this place. Definitely recommend!

Always a good vibe. The staff is super friendly, and the food is delicious. A great spot to grab some coffee, or some delicious breakfast, and get yourself ready for the rest of day. They’re continuously working to make their great even greater, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they have in mind for the future. They now have online ordering, with a really easy to use platform.

A nice quaint spot with good coffee, tea, and muffins made for small talk, friendship link ups, and short business meetings.

Loved this place!! Stayed for a couple weeks and didn't want to leave. The staff were great, the cafe/food, the hang-out areas, laundry, showers... It's the only hostel with AC in Jamaica (I've heard) and I appreciate the privacy the beds provide with the curtains and wall-chargers. This place is top-notch. And Darius is very cool. :) Thanks for having me.

Excellent venue for queer parties. At maximum capacity, it does get really crowded and hard to walk… the space can also get hot especially if you’re not near the a/c units. Outside is a perfect smoking area 👍🏾

Best place to stay in Kingston and best hostel in Jamaica !! :) Close to Bob Marley Museum, many shops and good location in general! Very clean, hot water, comfortable beds with a little bit of privacy with the curtain, AC, ... The staff is super friendly and helpful !! The food at the café next to the hostel is amazing too. I'll definitely come back!

The best hostel I've ever been to, both USA and Jamaica. This is the best of them all, with dormitories with your self contained large bed with beautiful fresh linens. Nice bed shields for privacy and it's extremely clean. The staff👍💯👌. Darius' hospitality is beyond exceptional. Tge chef is incredible. i love yhe wraps and thanks for the 10% discount for guests. Victor, professional server. Overall, 100%. From Ms. Thompson...:)

Review of coffee shop, not hostel. The coffee is good, the desserts are plentiful and delicious. Great variety and the service is very good. If you don't know sign language, you can check out the quick reference guide in the counter for a few key points to help communicate with the staff members who are deaf

Great coffee spot, recommend it . Opens as a bar and salsa venue in the evenings and does food all day! Super friendly, and a short walk from many hotels in the area. Don’t miss out

Ragamuffin is a nice bar where you can chill and have fun with friends. The staff is warm and welcoming and tries to make your experience better than the last. They have a nice range of food and alcoholic beverages. I love going there on Thursdays especially for Latin Dancing 🕺🏿💃🏿

This is a place on my top ten list......The food and the service is off the scale....the coffee is to die for.....just stop by..you won't regret it....

  • 1/5 Francesca 1 year ago on Google
Overrated in my opinion. The food options are limited, pricey and just okay. Decor is nice - and the yellow triangle outside to take pictures is the highlight (it was for me).

Internet is good. Other than that all made food items including the oat milk are laced with the known toxin fluoride, therefore quite disgusting. The wait time for prepared foods is outrageous so had to cancell my order. Furthermore, they will not substitute any items such as bacon for equivalent or less valued items but charge the same price.

Açaí bowls taste good! You might want to try less toppings (and not the maximum of 5), just to make the bowls easier to digest. I had the same thing in Brazil and its more or less comparable to what I had there. The picture is of the small Açaí bowl.

Perfect little peaceful chill spot, centrally located in Kingston. It's great for grabbing a quick bite (they have vegan and vegetarian options too), getting a cup of coffee or sweet drink and even sitting to work or having a chat. They also have open mic poetry sessions as well as Latin dance classes on different days of the week so feel free to check them out for some peace and quiet in the earlier part of the day and enjoyment in the evening!

Cozy, and the food is unique. Home to Pensoul, a creative space where writers and artists share their work, every last Wednesday.

Love this cafe! We had a very tasty muffin, breakfast sandwich and açai bowl. Also, they serve very tasty DeafCan coffee (and they sell the beans for you to take!). They also have beers from Jamaica’s first craft brewery (we bought them to take home). Highly recommend.

Cafe - never has the ingredients for the food when I give the place a chance. I either have bad luck or they never have ingredients for their food options. Drinks are good tho.

Definitely a good café to try. You get your typical café style food here. A must have for me is the Dark Cocao with Oat Milk and a little sweet with condensed milk. It was delicious 😋!! The breakfast was good too, ate it before I remembered to take pics.

Try the locally brewed trouble's beer. Their food is great, and they have some nice cocktails. Great vibe on Friday afternoons.

It was an amazingly quaint and comforting little space to get a breather from the fast paced routine. Staff is too class and pleasant. My new lunch or any time spot.

Awesome selection of unique beverages from organic lattes to draughts. I love that they have team members from the deaf community. The service is great. Parking can be limited but there’s a small lot towards the back of the building [be warned, it’s very “rustic” and not quite setup so it’s not for the faint of heart]

Great coffee and pastries!!! Latin Night on Thursdays with free classes from 6 to 7PM. Parking is a bit of an issue, but not a terrible inconvenience.

Ragamuffins is a wonderful coffee shop with exactly the atmosphere Kingston needs. In a good location with vegan offerings ranging from fruit bowls to brownies. Of course the coffee is amazing. The only issue is the limited parking but still worth the visit.

Really comfortable space with nice decor and polite and attentive staff. Pour over coffee was good. Food menu looks inspired at first but the execution is just okay. Would revisit if in the area!

It would seem normal that Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee would be exquisite everywhere in Jamaica but that is not always case. Ragamuffin exceeds expectations when it comes to coffee. I love the latte, the food offering are vast but the service is bar none. Always feel like I'm a friend you haven't met yet when I'm there. Can't be duplicated.

Good chill vibe. Limited parking though which can be a challenge, it may be better to park at a nearby spot and walk over.
