Great food. Authentic, with rich spiced flavour. I could not stop eating. Great choice to indulge with Indian food. I had the chicken vindaloo and butter chicken. Both were delicious and spot on.

Tamarind is one of my favourite Indian restaurants. Albeit I've never been to India, it seems to me to be authentic Indian food lol The spices and other ingredients meld together nicely to give wonderful flavour profiles. I've never had a bad experience with their food or staff in all the years that I have been going there. The location is good for a solo to a large group sitting.

Food is always good and consistent. Service can be improved and music isn't always on, but definitely one of my favourite places to eat. Some favourites are the butter chicken pizza, the chicken pasta with angel hair, the ravioli and the butter chicken with garlic naan. Would recommend.

I went there for my annual link up with about 18 other friends and this is the best restaurant that we have been to as a large group. The restaurant allows you to order from 3 different cuisines which was very inclusive for some of my picky eater friends. Our 3 waitresses were very attentive with water refills and genuinely very friendly and patient. The presentation of the food was excellent and the taste was even better. I like also that they were able to facilitate separate bills because usually when we go out as a group, we're told that everything has to go on one bill. I appreciate the fact that we get complimentary to-go bags and instead of mints, we're given fortune cookies as parting favors. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a while and I can't wait to go back.

Guysss, we visited again last month to have dinner with two bday celebrants. Can't stress enough how good the food is here. Authentic Indian cuisine at its best. Wasn't a huge fan of the curried shrimp and the vegetable soup however everything else that we ordered, chef's kiss!

Food took some time to come out after ordering. Staff are friendly and apologised profusely as they were super busy with take away as well. Food was tasty and the atmosphere though small works well. Parking is a bit hard as it’s a small strip mall but if you wait a couple mins, you’ll get a spot.

Been here for birthdays or just a good meal with friends. Really good Indian food, one of the best pastas I have had- I wanted seconds and I am was not a pasta person. They offer Indian and Continental food, really nice dining for a family or group, the price is right and the food is great- I have never had a bad experience here- even on birthdays when my friends were late, the manager was still respectful and accommodating. I highly recommend Tamrind.

Nice atmosphere and they were one of the few places to open late on New Years Day. Service could have been a little bit better but there was only two servers working so I understand. Very nice atmosphere hidden in the city. The mall that it is located has a very nice mix of architecture with lush trees, very nice setting.

My first time dining here, with a group of 9. The food took long to come, then when it came only half the tables order was ready so we had to wait another 15 min. For the rest of the food to come out. It was absolutly tasty but way too pricey for the portion sizes received. The service was horrible. Our waiter did not offer us drinks and went missing after she served us food. No one checked in to make sure we were ok the reservation was for 8pm, we were served at about 9:20 (first half) and by the time we could taste the food and decide that we wanted more we had to call over another staff who unwillingly came over and basically nodded that we could not get any more food. 🤔 We then asked if it would be possible to order some wine and she brought out a bottle and 3 glasses, Clearly that was just for the side of the table that was speaking to her. ( its was 9 of us at the table 😏 so the rest of us only hand water) They were clearly mentally closed and ready to go home. The ambiance was pretty cool. They close too early for a friday night and if nothing could be done about that we should have been advised when making the reservation that this is the way they operate. (KITCHEN closes at X time etc etc)

Tamarind is my favourite restaurant in Kingston. The ambiance is nice, the staff is friendly, but most of all, the food is delicious! I've never had something from Tamarind that disappointed me, and I try to have something new each time. My personal favourite is the cheese wontons which I recommend to anyone who likes cheese. I love this place and I'll be visiting many more times.

This was the first time I was trying authentic Indian cuisine and they got me hooked. This was one of my best Saturday afternoon brunch I ever had. The food is all around great and since it was an afternoon the traffic inside the restaurant was slow. The space is not very large so I was glad for that. The parking may also be an issue as the plaza this is located on has limited parking.

In Jamaica for vacay, this is the best Indo Chinese food you can have here. Not so happy with Veg Manchurian as they make it with bread but schezwan Noodles, schezwan Rice, Chilli Manchurian is too good to be true. I am taking one star because of disappointing Veg Manchurian or I can say bread ball Manchurian.

Love lovee this restaurant. My favourite dish is their white wine mushroom pasta. It is so delicious and the servings are large. I always have some left to bring home and have later. And the garlic bread that goes with it is also amazingg

Amazing Indian restaurant. Pieces of meat and chicken were so tender. We had butter chicken, lamb korma, salmon and a kebab selection of chicken and lamb. The staff were so accommodating, friendly. They even rose to the occasion when I asked them for a birthday treat for two of the people in our party. Did a birthday song and candle in a nice dessert on such short notice. Thank you.

Really great service, and the food was exceptional. I had the cherry 🍒 chili chicken, green Tai Chicken curry 🍛 and the shrimp fry rice 🍚.

Went there recently for a date and the food was very good. It was my first time ordering sushi and I enjoyed it alot especially the sauces on the side. My bf had gotten the chicken spring rolls and the mutton and he loved it alot. The bullet naan was definitely very spicy which I loved and the chicken roll I ordered was alright. Overall we enjoyed the food and would definitely come again.

Ordered a large butter chicken pizza at 6:56pm. Was told 30 mins. Got there in 40mind and was told it would be another 10 mins. It ended up being more like 15-20 mins and instead of one large pizza they gave me 2 small pizzas because they were out of large boxes. But I didn’t thing it was the same amount of food. Also the butter chicken was dry as if it had been cooked the day before and the flavor was a let down compared to previous visits. Not very impressive and it felt as though they had forgot my order and rushed it through. Won’t be back.

Great food at an affordable cost. One serving can share for more than one person so if you go there with a group and each person order a different plate everyone can partake in various dishes and even have food to carry home. The food is amazing and worth every penny. Although you get rice with your serving, you should definitely order a serving of garlic or cheese naan - you won’t regret it! Definitely my go to Indian restaurant.

There is no other Indian Food restaurant that sells food as delicious as Tamarind's . This is a asain/european/Indian food fusion restaurant. Some options to try are Noni Fish, Dhal Makhani, Butter Naan, Cheese Naan, Spinach and Corn, Salt and Pepper Mushroom, Green Thai Curry Fish... and on Sundays the wait for dining may be a bit long so don't go there too hungry!

This is my first review ever and I have a strong reason for me to come out and write it today. I've been to this restaurant couple of times for a togo pickup but tonight was my first dine in experience and it was awful. Our waitress was least interested in getting our drinks order and even setting our plates. We are a group of 6 including 2 kids. When the appetizers arrived she put the food on the table and the serving plates all stacked at one place. We had to set plates ourselves. At first we thought maybe she forgot or this is how they function. But when we saw her serving the other table with all smiles and setting their plates we felt bit disappointed. The same thing repeated when the main course arrived. She just left all the plates stacked at one place and we had to set it up ourselves. We have 2 kids with us and she never bothered to come and ask if we are doing ok. When I took the matter to the manager, even he did not bother to take this seriously. I felt very let down by this restaurant especially when I invited my friends family for dinner. P.S. I wish there is a way to rate less than 1 star.

Our server Kerry guided us through the menu - we enjoyed the Singapore Chicken and Pork Chops in Black Pepper Sauce with buttered naan. Serving size was good, food was tasty and meal was decently priced. Definitely would recommend!

The food took way too long to be served. Every customer who was seated after my arrival was served before me, including a party of four. This may or may not have been what was ordered, some items take longer than others, but good customer service means coming by, apologising for the wait and offering something else in the meantime. I was too annoyed to order drinks or dessert. My waitress was the only pleasant server in the restaurant but was absent more often than not - which made ordering anything else difficult if not impossible. The other servers ranged from hesitant to reluctant to dismissive. The food wasn't bad, more on the bland side rather than exciting, and definitely not worth the price. Would I return? Only to see if there was any improvement in the food and service and to encourage the waitress who served me to continue to hone her skills despite the environment. Would I recommend this restaurant to any one else? Definitely not.

This place has terrible service. I got my food a full half hour before everyone else did. The waitress was awful as well, slow unapologetic, brought the wrong item. The entire staff has a do it "yourself" policy. Water spills they give you a napkin to clean it up + other instances. I barely ever write reviews but this was beyond poor. I've always heard this place has bad service but that the food made it manageable, not for me, not for me ever again.

Always have such amazing food and have never been disappointed. Our family love this place and we will always find an excuse to go eat there.

Service was poor. We were seated without utensils for awhile (about an hour really). I had a small water spill and when I requested assistance, a waitress handed me a paper towel and went about her business. And why at the end of the meal do I have to ASK for the bill as if I'm begging to pay? The food was good. But I won't be eating there again.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! the food is amazing , chicken cordon blue, stuff mushroom , and the amazingly tender pork chops yum, the best part its not overly expensive $5000.00 can dinner two person. plus the staff are so helpful if you feel adventurous and want to try their Indian menu go for it.

Not quite "like my granny used to make" but I still like the food here. The breads (naan and roti) are nice and there's a wide variety of Indian dishes, some I've never heard of but am always excited to try. It's great to have little spots like this in Kingston when I'm craving Indian food.

Just paid way to much for a chicken tikka masala that was, hands down, the WORST I've ever eaten anywhere. They gave me regular sort grain rice with it. Both the chicken and the rice were mushy. Really horrible food. Never going there again.

We got the butter chicken, palak paneer, chicken biryani and veg samosa. When we called, we were told it would take 1.5 hours for delivery but it took 2.5 hours. It was worth the wait. It's really good. The rice that came with the palak paneer and butter chicken is not basmati like what I'm used to but the dish was really good. I would most definitely go here again. I was trying my best to not compare it to food in the US as everyone don't have the same access to things but I would most definitely recommend. We ate before I even thought to take pics.

Was the first time trying Indian cuisine for my wife and I, the dishes were very well seasoned and succulent. It did not disappoint. Our expectations were met and surpassed. Would definitely recommend.

Five of us went there in October 2020 and they were very accommodative considering that it was during the pandemic. The food was excellent from appetizer to dessert and the birthday cake was very delicious! The waitress was on point with the orders and the food was served in a timely manner

Before my last visit (Nov-2021), i haven't been here since the pandemic hit Ja (March 2020). They've redone the interior decor and it's less posh that before. However, the food is still great and they now have European Fusion menu. Food doesn't take long to come and tastes just as i expect.

If you love traditional Indian cuisine, this is a very good location to get your meals. Located in Orchid Village Plaza this restaurant not only does traditional Indian food but also fusion cuisine and other Asian Meals. Here you can get Thai, Hot and Sour Soup and Chinese, Chicken and Sweet Corn soup Just to mention a few. The staff are very friendly and professional in their service and are fairly knowledge about the menu options for persons who are visiting for the first time. The prices are fairly reasonable and meals are served with a either Rice of variation of Nan Bread. In would recommend the Mutton of Lamb Rogan Josh.

A great place for Indian cuisine and Indian fusion foods. Prices are reasonable and the ambiance is good. Drawback is the size of the restaurant, quite small and only one restroom. Overall the experience was good.

Went there on mother's just to try something new .... and boy was I impressed.. the food was beyond delicious, however the servings are small but I don't mind. Wonderful dining experience. Clean, appropriately lit room for a relaxing night. Had the chicken wings in honey chili sauce to start and had no regrets - perfect blend of flavours to give you that kick in the end! Their seasoned sweet potato fries were ordinary (still looking for the seasoning in there)… Their lamb lasagna is a MUST try!!! Served with garlic bread. Well seasoned, meaty and cheesy!!!

Fantastic Restaurant, amazing food Singapore Chichen is a must try, with Kashmiri naan or rice. This is one of the best dishes I have ever had in my life. I found the staff to be courteous and helpful, I would recommend pre ordering and pickup versus dinning in the restaurant is a little small, but none the less it was a great experience when I dined in.

Food was very flavorful, warm and prepared timely. Not much of an ambience. And I didn't like that the Asian food from the menu was prepared in the other restaurant so the waiter would be walking outside with the food uncovered because the kitchen of the asian cuisine was not connected to the kitchen of the indian cuisine. So it's two completely separate restaurants. Customer Service was good though.

I don't even know where to start, the food was delicious, service was great, it was quiet much to my liking, made me feel like I wasn't in jamaica for a while, and I loved that. The waiter was very helpful, polite and mature. It was just great.

We had a birthday celebration dinner for about 10 persons. The staff was accommodating and the service was good. They have very tasty food from the Indian Cuisine. I had the shrimp masala with garlic naan. That was very good. I also had a blended fruit punch Bathroom facilities are also nice We overstayed beyond the closing time but the staff was very polite and indulgent. I recommend this restaurant highly!

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Kingston. Small cosy dining area with great customer service. They also have an international cuisine menu for you to choose from so there are a wide variety of options. Make reservations if you can but it's not required.
