Soso seafood never disappoints. The food is very good, I especially love the coconut escoveitched fish. The curried fish comes in at a close second. The staff is courteous and the ambience pleasant 🙂

Came with a big group for a birthday party and the service was awesome. We got manual wata on entry and we’re quickly attended to. Our server Monique was very attentive and friendly, it was a pleasure to be served by her.

Had a great time at SoSo Seafood. One of Kingston's oldest but still greatest Seafood spots in the heart of the city. I only gave them 4 stars because they had no soup AT ALL last night. The waiter/mixologist was awesome and very attentive. He suggested the Coconut Curried Escoveitch fish... yeah I know it's alot of flavor and I was worried at first but it really turned out to be good 👍. Food was prepared in a timely manner and was well seasoned and cooked. The place wasn't too crowded and there was a steady flow of persons in and out. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back.

Fantastic spot. The service was great and the food was top notch. Our server checked on us several times and even recommended a dish to try that turned out to be Fantastic. Its was a great atmosphere since the world cup was on. This is always the best spot for seafood in Kingston

We went and ordered the fish. The menu said $2500. No one told us it was by the pound. They then brought us 4.5lbs and when we ordered 3 servings. They insisted that they explained this even though they didn't. We ended with the option of waiting for them to make over the three dishes which took more than an hour in the first place or canceling the order. As it was already 15 minutes to curfew we had no choice but to leave the fish and go home hungry. Not to mention it was past curfew and there was no where else to get food. The customer service was very poor and they felt that it was ok to pad the bill by over $5000 with fish we didn't order and then to send us home with nothing when we expressed our disappointment. They need to correct the menu and train their staff about good customer service. What's the point of sending paying customers home upset and disappointed? Don't they know our frustrations will only end up on the internet?? Evening ruined.

The food was great, our server was a gem, nice hiding spot for lunch and dinner with friends.

Walked here from Knutsford Blvd and almost didn't find it due to the tiny sign. Outdoor seating, friendly staff, casual ambience. Food was ok. The pepper shrimp was delicious but my dad had the BBQ porkchops and said they were awful. Prices are moderate for new Kingston.

Well This place was overall a chill vybe . I love how attentive the waitress was she made us feel welcome the moment we stepped in. Came here to celebrate My Moms birthday and she picked this restaurant and I do not regret it. Food for me was good I ordered wings and My mom really enjoyed the fried fish with bammy as only the bones from the fish lived to tell the tale‼️😂 I would definitely recommend and I will be back to do a more detailed review.

It was the my favourite restaurant for years until Wednesday July 15. 2020. I was also there Tuesdays 14 2020. I always order roasted fish and it is always good until July 15,2020. On the day in question I ordered fish finger as appetizer and roasted fish. I got my my appetizer which was very good and eventually my roasted fish. I proceeded to eat one side of the fish upon having the other side it was badly burnt and tough. I brought it to the waitress attention and I was reprimanded because I started having fish. She also made it clear that the chef said nothing is wrong with the fish. According to the waitress and I quote" the fish weight 1.75 pounds and she will charge me for 1.5lbs". I said to her, money is not the issue. I am talking about the service. I was very disappointed because I eat at this restaurant twice per week and I show case their food on my my WhatsApp page and boast about the Quality but for sure I will never go back to the restaurant neither my family, company or associates.To make matter worse I asked for a take out for the remainder of the fish my request was yet to fulfill. I usually tip 10% even to the very young lady that serve me that night.

Wouldn’t go back here. First and last with my partner today. My grilled pork chops for $2500 didn't cut it at all. It was very tough and dry could break my teeth, the sauce with it was ketchup mixed with salt and water and ginger. The rice clumpy. Food not appealing, oh no. I was walking in the area and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. I ordered a rum punch and garlic shrimp. Everything came quickly. I didn’t care for the rum punch and the rice tasted a bit stale. The shrimp was ok. I want to return to try another dish.

The waitress wanted to serve my Lobster with Rice n Peas or plain rice after i ordered baked/mashed potatoes. I had to request the chef. He told me i could get the potato. I not even eat rice during the day much less in the night. Crazy. The meal was delicious when i got it.

We visited Soso on Thursday at9pm. Our host Deandra was welcoming with a great sense of humour. I had coconut escoveich which was the best meal I had since we're here, big juicy fish in coconut sauce. MY partner had pork chops. GreAt experience will definitely ome back. Lovely vibe too.

The food here was great! Had coconut fish and it was AMAZING! The waitress were pleasant and attentive! Only problem was I went there on a Sunday and they had loud music which apparently is a Sunday thing so any other day would be good

Difficult to find when you have the address ( bad signage) Music too loud to comfortably visit while eating. That said the steamed snapper was great! Can pick your fish out yourself and they cook to order. Lots of tables open to choose from as the parking area is not large.

Food is great, service too. Just, on a Friday night, the music is way too loud. Not pleasant to eat, as you can't talk to anyone because of the extremely loud noise. A shame, as the restaurant is really nice!

I was served by a woman with a nasty attitude and ended up paying too much for a meal that was prepared with cheap ingredients. I had shrimps in oyster sauce and it was like i had dust in my mouth.

Start with the seafood or veggie soup as your appetizer it will ignite your taste buds...i had both and i was soso worth it.... let the vibe lead u to anything else on the menu..guaranteed to satisfy.

I am being generous with the stars because I was attended to quickly by the waitress and the DJ held my interest while I waited on my "done-to-order To-go" meal. My steam fish was "SoSo" bland. It had no flavour; at all. I had to grab salt, pepper and mash the meat up a bit. Imagine that. Imagine eating my crackers in what we term "lele" water. This was my first and impromptu visit and I'm not sure if I'll pay another $2990 to see if the chef improves to be honest. I mean, it's snapper. What is happening 😳 😕

The food and music were good but the service was average. While the music was good, the volume was too high which didn't allow for easy conversation.

Found this place by COMPLETE accident. No regrets.we had just landed and was lost on the way to the hotel and heard the music and just stop. BEST experience I’ve had in travel back home. First when we got there, no one was at the entrance to greet us secondly the server for the night needs training her service was very distasteful 🤮. I ordered steam snapper when the food came it wasn't snapper . Apart from that there was this other server that came and ask me if everything was okay and if I was finishing with my food she also came with warm soapy water for me to wash my hands which I very much appreciated.
