It was a birthday dinner for a friend and the experience was not too bad. The food is ok, the ambiance was great however, the service wasn’t too good and it took a while to get the food.

CRU is perfectly located, it has a great vibe and the food and drinks are pretty good too. I had the CRU Nachos, a White Sangria and a CRU Affair and enjoyed them. Our bartender/server was really nice and helpful as are most of their other staff members. But, for my favorite part- I must applaud their resident DJ because the music on Saturdays is always pumping! Such a lovely vibe at CRU, the only thing that's missing is a dance floor for the regular restaurant setting lol.

The environment is very wonderful, clean and spacious. The customer service is beyond 5 stars and the food; delicious. A wonderful location to have a drink, date or small celebration.

It was a pretty great place to chill, ambiance was great, my friends and i went there without a reservation because where we were going closed at 9 so I was super happy to see CRU was open late. It was my first time there. It's beautiful, and I'm happy to say the food was actually good. I took the jerk chicken alfredo while my friends took the burger and bbq wings.. we tasted each other's and we all agreed, food was great.

Staff were great and friendly. This place has such an amazing view of the restaurant and the Kingston area. The food was lovely and I'd give an A for presentation too. The toilets were do clean and fresh it was unbelievable never seen any this clean in a restaurant. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend going. Prices are also very reasonable too

Good vibe on a week night. They were having a private function but we still got to enter and use the facilities. Drinks were ok. Had the henney berry twist and a dirty Jess. Food was served quickly and hot. Food was well cooked.

First off, we went on a Friday night which was packed! On arrival, there was no seating available so we asked the hostess at front if we could order food anyway and wait until seats became available. She said we could. When some patrons eventually left (we’d waited about 10 minutes), we saw two sets of seats become available. We were still by the hostess and she didn’t budge to seat us at all. WE were the ones to ask her whether we could now be seated or not. She looked at the empty seats and said we could. Not sure where to sit, WE again had to ask her and she was very nonchalant as if she didn’t care which seats we chose and as if we should just stop asking her questions. Nevertheless, once we sat, it took a while for us to be recognized by a waitress/waiter. The young lady who eventually waited on us was professional and quick in her service, which was good. They did not have the order that I originally wanted (Jerked chicken with white sangria), but the food was not bad, neither was it excellent. Drinks were good though. Apart from that, it was so loud there, my sister and I had to be shouting to be heard by each other. It seems it’s best to make reservations on the weekend. Maybe I’ll visit during the week next time to experience the difference.

I am so annoyed that I'm typing this as I'm here. I order oxtail which on the MENU said it comes with beans and spinners. I wasn't interested in the beans but upon googling what spinners are I was looking forward to it. I also order a side of plantains. The plate came with beans, oxtail and the plantains. So I ask the waitress where is the spinners she said it doesn't come with it. I told her the menu says it comes with it. She said it doesn't and that she would get the floor manager. The floor manager came and said it doesn't come with it even after I showed her the menu. She said sometimes it comes with it and sometimes it doesn't? What!!!?? If that's the case change you menu or tell the customer so they can have a substitute. If I knew I was getting oxtail and beans I wouldn't have order it. I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SOMETHING ELSE. So full price was paid for a item that was missing parts. No one is paying $3200 JMD for oxtail and beans.The manager and the staff were no help. Some of the food was also cold. I was hungry with a headache when I left because I didn't want to put anymore money in their pockets. I even though about going to KFC after.

Took my brother for his birthday. Took 45 min for them to clean the open table and seat us. Another 30-50min to take our order. The food and drinks was good. But the music wasn’t everyone friendly ( that could also be because of the time we went) which was late night. So if you are a Christian I wouldn’t recommend going after 8pm

The service for me was great and pretty fast. We were seated immediately and given menus. The staff was very courteous and took our orders very quickly. We also did not have to wait very long for our meals to arrive. I found the food itself satisfactory, nothing special. The atmosphere was okay as well and they played a wide range of music

Let me tell you about Cru. So I moved here to work remotely and stay on the North Coast and ventured to Kingston. I heard Kingston is busy and hectic and it was the weekend the Royal Family from England was here and during Spring Break. Prices were hiked up and the atmosphere was straight holiday vibes....HOWEVER...... CRU BAR is the business. Local, central location l, well priced and a friggin UPSCALE atmosphere. The women are stylish and beautiful , the gentlemen are well dressed and it was a cosmopolitan vibe. The owner is present and touches tables and it was amazing. Their Malbec while not top of the line is not cheap and basic but a beautiful midrange offering. The burger??? Amazing. Well cooked to specification and delicious. It is either a perfect date night or a great place for friends. ENJOY. As someone who travels this is a WORLD travelers dream. SAFE. AFFORDABLE. UPSCALE. QUALITY.

The only access to building is up stairs, so be mindful of this if you have a physical disability. The food was alright, average serving size, could use a bit more seasoning but overall good enough for a quick bite. Eventhough it took a while for our orders to be taken, Our meals were ready within 15 minutes. Drinks are excellent. The ambiance is nice; very chill but seating is outside so be mindful of weather. The bathrooms were immaculate. Overall a pleasant experience. Will visit again in the near future

Very nice place to sit on a roof and enjoy some conversation over a meal. I only had 1 issue with the music getting too loud as the night got older. So it gets increasingly hard to hear and you have to start shouting. This seems to be a thing at most Sportsbar type restaurants though.

My first time here. I must say, if this is going to always be the experience, then I will always come here. Ambiance was great, food was awesome, selector was bad. Our waitress Alicia was amazing. She was professional, pleasant and courteous. Overall experience was a blast. Ohh the bar tender, knew exactly what I wanted. He made the perfect non- alcoholic beverage for me.

Music is too loud for a bar. It's too loud to talk and nobody dances... So what actually is the point? Food is alright. Bar selection is often lackluster (no Appleton Signature in Jamaica? Seriously?) Drinks are expensive for no reason. If it rains you will get wet. If you're looking for a bar to talk and chill, better you just go Ragamuffin down the road.

Considering I never received my order due to an error made by the waitstaff. I can only attest to the drinks and atmosphere, and it was average. Quite a while to be seated. However, we were satisfied with the seating. I ordered tacos that I never received and was told I would have to wait to reorder something else and the waiter never came back until about 40 mins later when we asked for the bill and left.

Quality of the food keeps falling. Drinks were good. It's ok to vibe, good scenery. Music is loud so it's not the place for serious conversations. Overall it's worth a visit

We arrived here about 6:30pm the patrons were all well engaged in there deferent settings and groups. Great atmosphere and the entertainment was on par for the crowd the selections were well received by the patrons some very much dancing away enjoying it all the Bartender's were very busy and attentive also. I must say the complete atmosphere and setting was awesome we had a wonderful evening as a team. Well done CRU TEAM 👍

Food wasn’t fresh. Had fish and mash potato everything was cold. The good use to be lit here but not sure what’s happening now. You guys should step up the quality because the cost of expensive. The fish I had lacked flavor and tasted old. My GF had lobster and it was cold, hard, never tasted good. She didn’t want seasoned fries and they gave her anyways she requested a change and they didn’t exchange it. Not sure what’s going on but this use to be a really nice place to eat but now don’t think I’m going back. The place seem kinda run down now. 👎

This Bar/Restaurant is beautiful and sets a very relaxed vibe. The service is above any you'd expect in Jamaica. The music by the live DJ is very good. Above all, it feels very safe. Definitely a must try when you visit Kingston.

I actually enjoy Cru as a lunch spot during the days, the food is pretty good. We had curried goat and wings. Meals were served about 40mins from the time we ordered, but it was also relatively busy at the time. I've also visited during peak hours (Friday and Saturday nights) and I must say that the staff does their absolute best to accommodate everyone. Overall good food and good service. Bathrooms are always tidy. Definitely would recommend and will keep going back. The only issue I could point out is that you have to go up a flight of stairs to get inside, and I know of no wheelchair accessible entrance.

With a wonderful open roof too venue, and a attractive decor, plus taste food makes CRU Bar a nice place to seat and eat with friends for a nice night out. Though it's little on the prices side it's worth every penny.

Recently visited Cru Bar and Kitchen and I was extremely impressed! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The music was a bit loud, but it added to the overall vibe. The service was polite, and the prices were decent. Plus, the service was quick. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out! Note: Bring something for your throat because you might be shouting if you intend to have a conversation.

The settings is nice for like anytime after 6pm. Before that you will be melting. It's on a roof top and it hot. Food ratings in my honest opinion it was blah! But other wise from that, it have a vibes and big up Sheldon the bartender👍👍 good customer service..

Ambience was nice. I had the wings and the chicken sandwich and they had the exact flavour. I took sweet scotch bonnet wings but it tasted the same as the bbq wings. Whatever they did to the bbq wings is what they did to the chicken in the sandwich. Wasn't expecting that. The sandwich comes with mango coleslaw and I couldn't even taste that. The wings were decent sized however, which I liked and their pasta was great.

Loved the decor when I visited. Only had drinks, they were really good. Staff could be a bit more efficient but they were really polite.

It was large group and they accommodated us in their board room. The waiter was a bit slow to take the order and forgot a few of the orders as well. the food too awhile also. But it was a Saturday night so I guess that is to be expected. The food was delicious though. The curry goat was well seasoned and spicy. The vibe was nice.

Quick service and the food tasted great. I ate by the bar at lunch hr and the staff was polite and well versed in the menu options. I ordered the roast chicken and potato salad with steam veg and a fruit punch (diet friendly) lol. The food didn't take long to come out which is always a plus. Depending on your budget it may be a good spot to visit regularly, if not you can treat yourself every now and again. Wasn't disappointed to all. There is also sufficient parking on the plaza so feel free to drive.

The food was good and the rooftop environment was very nice. Eating here again if I find myself back in Kingston

Don't order on Hugo app... says its approximate time is 30mins. However well north of 1 hr multiple times. They also somehow managed to get everyone's meal we ordered conpletely wrong. Other than that the food is decent.

Great place my friend just popped the big question there and without fail the team were applauding and even changed the music selection not sure if that was intentional or not but it was darn good. The jerk chicken is too bland for a jamaican jerk in Jamaica at a largely local eatery.

I was really excited to go here, we called 2 days in advance to make a reservation and was told we didn’t need one. When we showed up, we had to wait about 10 mins before being allowed up by the security, after going up the hostess informed us they had no space for us (2 ppl). Which was strange seeing as a group of four was allowed in after us.

My friend and I called ahead to see if they were reservation only. Cause it gave that vibe. We were told no reservations were done .... we went and we were stopped at the entrance by a security who asked if we had a reservations. And of course we were turned away because we didnt have one. It ruined my whole afternoon . Because my plans were centered around drinking at the bar.

Food was excellent. Waiter was very nice. Only problem I had were the flies and the fact that I got a table in the sun because the rep I called previously stated I didn't to make a reservation prior. But was overall good. Would visit again preferably in the night when the place is cooler.

Great atmosphere

Ordered a Caesar salad and wings and fries. Two lychee martini. The lychee martinis were excellent. I had waited for too long for my food and asked them to make the food to go. When I got to my room, The salad was drenched in salad dressing. The wings were fried in stale oil. I was so disappointed. I ate absolutely nothing because it was merely too late!

The food and service are good. The Atmosphere is excellent. The issue is with the music. The music is too loud and you can not have a good conversation with your friends. I feel like I'm at a dance and some of the music being played is so vulgar. It's a big turn off. How can such music play at a place where people come to eat n enjoy each others company????? It's a big turn off. I would very much love to go again, but I will not.
