It was an om experience, it has a nice ambiance. They played some nice music. The food was a miss for me. The first was the wait for the food. The wait was long and the restaurant was not full. The soup was salt and pepper. The meal we ordered was very sweet. It tasted ok but was too sweet. The prices for the dinner was reasonable. All in all, i didn't hate but i don't think i will be going back there.

I am giving chive a 5 star just because of our server who ensured we were comfortable. It was my son's dad's birthday and we went out to dinner. I kept looking at different places on Instagram but their online menu caught my eye. I called and made a reservation, and I did not tell them the occasion. We got there a little later than the reservation but were welcomed and seated. The ambience was great. The food took a little time to come but the soup came almost immediately. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers and the main course. The serving size was also adequate. Our server who was very attentive I guess heard us talking and requested special dessert and the birthday song.

Absolutely divine. Popped in for Brunch on Sunday, was initially concerned as they don’t do reservations only walk-ins, but the service was faultless and very accommodating. The food? Perfect, boasting a day menu, brunch and cocktails menu leaves one with many options. I’m a biggg Marlin girl so of course I ordered the omelette. The texture and taste was so well balanced I didn’t even mind I forgot to hold the capers. Great portions, service and ambiance

The overall experience was good. The food was well prepared, and the portion size was appropriate. The service was good with room for improvement, but it didn't detract from the experience. I would definitely return. I ordered 1. Soup of the day (fish) 2. Mac and cheese (shrimp) with an amaretto sour. The soup was a bit spicy, which was fine just unexpected. The Mac and cheese was very good, prepared, and presented well. The salad side was a bit limp, though. The drink was enjoyable. Pricing is fair when compared to similar offerings. Such a hidden gem nestled smack dab in kingston. This resturant has the best presented foods, with the sexiest served drinks, with the most polite staff, observing a of covid rules. I had the shrimp wrap...delicious! My friends had medium well burgers. I had a frozen lemonade and pumpkin soup...both fantastic. A must dine spot!!

Underwhelming midday food experience due to the wait. We came hungry and were the first people in the restaurant for the day it seems, after taking our order we waited about 45 mins for the food to be served. The food experience was then rushed. The overall taste was satisfying, we ordered a burger(messy to eat) Mac and cheese (tasty), salad (way too much dressings) and chicken with lemonades. I would revisit but not in a rush to.

Had a late lunch at Chive with a few friends and mostly enjoyed the experience. The good: The food was amazing, (everything was delicious, appetizer, main and dessert). The ambiance is also pretty good. The not that good: Service was mostly great except the bar took a long time to get drinks to the table (hence the loss of a star). I would definitely go back again though, just for the food alone.

It is a different but great experience. You have the choice to stay indoors or outside. The food was great and not to mention their service was excellent and ontime. I recommend.

The ambiance is so pleasing and inviting. Low music and an excellent waiting staff. The food was so tasty and there is also an outside garden to dine in. It was very beautiful. I have to visit again

Even though we had to wait about 20 mins for a table - because of the Father's Day crowd - the experience was definitely an enjoyable one overall. The waitress was awesome and full of vibes. The food was great! Who ever thought oxtail would land up in an alfredo dish! 🤩😍The price point was decent overall. I look forward to going here again.

Went there for late lunch with my sisters and it was really good. The ambiance was calm and very soothing, the staff was oh so polite and the waiter kept checking on us to ensure we were ok. The appetizer and main course was AMAZING….. only take away is that I had to settle for a glass of pink moscato as the other drinks I wanted they didn’t have but it was all in all a great experience and I will definitely be going back ❤️

My friends had always spoken highly of this eatery and I must agree with them. The ambiance was inviting. The meals were deliciously prepared and the meal presentation was mouthwatering. We didn't wait long to be served, in fact our server, Andre was exceptional in how he attended to us. The Manager as well was equally impressive, accommodating and lovely. I would most definitely recommend Chive as a top notch eatery in my book and sincerely hope more persons visit and experience their fine dining and impeccable service too. I'm definitely a customer for life.

The food never misses. Ten of us went and we all enjoyed our meals. The crab cakes were really small especially in comparison to most of the other appetizers so keep that in mind. Some of the drinks took a while but they were delicious.

We had a really great time at Chive Restaurant. The food was sooo good and the service was great. We went on a Saturday after 2 and brunch was still being offered, but we ordered from the regular menu. The seafood sliders, chive Alfredo with jerk chicken and chicken macaroni and cheese surpassed our expectations. Cant wait to go back!

I had the Chive Surf and Turf (Bubble waffles, salad, shrimp & lobster with syrup and berry dressing). The wait time was 1 hour. When the food came it was very crispy and needed more flavor. It could be due to the time it took to prepare then serve the food, so it wasn't hot. To bypass the wait time come with good company and conversations. The drink (pina calada) was the highlight for me. The Linguini was creamy and served with garlic toast.

This was my second time here. It was great. I had the callaloo dip and it was AMAZING. I could have eaten that as a main dish. I had the bacon burger for my main, which was good but the bun had been so soaked, it was falling apart. I had to eat it with knife and fork. I didn't care though lol it was so tasty. Deborah was my server and she was great.

Food was good and the ambiance was nice. Customer service was okay at best and the bathroom was really small. The food there is typically what you would see at your average dine in restaurant, nothing particularly outstanding.

Food was good though temperature control seemed to be a consistent issue. Drinks were great overall, personally had the Gin Genie, it was on the sweeter side but I would definitely recommend it. Service was good, borderline acceptable given the restaurant was empty at the time. Will return for brunch.

Meals were so delicious and the ambiance was sophisticated. Servers are courteous and super helpful. The wait time for meals was a bit long however it was definitely worth the wait :). Recommend to all and I’ll definitely be back. P.S….. wished the soufflé was so much more. Portion was very small

The food was absolutely amazing, had a chat with the bartender who also made some great drinks. Prepare for a Saturday brunch crowd though.

This is a nice resturant. Price is great and I enjoyed my meal. I had pimento chicken breast with mashed potato.. wasn't crowded and all which I appreciated and COVID protocols were been observed.

I went to this establishment to celebrate my friend's birthday. Everything was going well until the appetizer came. I realized the shrimp had an "off odour" so I mentioned it to the server while paying the bill. He later returned to tell me the chef stated that the pungent odour was the "natural odour" of seafood 😂 quite hilarious. There's nothing more repulsive than these food handling establishments that refuse to accept shortcomings. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to my worse enemy, respectfully 😊
