I was hoping the possibility exists to put a zero star, but that option is not available. The quality of the product was good but the service at Giscombe is absolutely disastrous. Multiple staff members from the lady who would appear like a manager to the personnel that assembled the table, it was consistent poor service. It would appear the desire of the staff is to discourage customers from purchasing at the store. I purchased on this occasion in spite of, but i would never enter that store again. Absolute disaster, no customer service at Giscombe's Sporting Warehouse!!

If poor customer service had a face it would be Giscombe! Visited twice and on both occasions I was turned off by the poor customer service and how it appears management treats the floor staff. My most recent visit on Dec. 31st has left a bitter taste. My spouse and I were attended to by young man who was quite helpful and with good mannerisms. However, we observed on several occasions that the lady at the front (appears to be management or held a supervisory role) spoke to the young man in a condescending tone. Quite distasteful. Also, there was a female at the cash register who also spoke to the young man in a similar tone. It really broke me. The lady at the front saw that I kept my gaze on her and she adjusted her behaviour towards the male employee. It is a fact that Giscombe offers a wide variety of sporting goods and gym equipment amongst other accessories at affordable prices. However, customer service and how employees are treated no matter the level is crucial to sustaining any business. The store is also in need of a makeover, it looks crowded and unwelcoming. Reminds me of a storage facility. I would love if the management could read some of the reviews posted and adjust accordingly. Many companies fail due to poor management. The only thing constant is CHANGE!

Very very poor customer service, after I walking around the store with an employee who was assisting me to find what I needed, only to get to the cashier who told me that the system was down and they couldn’t write me a receipt because the book was finished, why was the store open then if you can’t make a purchase??? And this was 2 hours after the store was opened. The manager seemed to could careless even after I told her how far I was traveling from, didn’t even made any attempt to assist, this staff needs to be retrained on customer service or pay them on commission so they are more motivated to help and provide good customer service, wouldn’t recommend, I’d rather buy online and pay extra than go back, horrible experience!

A good store to get your sports equipment and school bags. The layout is not the best but they have a wide variety of sporting equipment.

From observations, the grill and doors were opened at exactly 9am. The security and the staff all greeted me with a good morning as I was the first customer. It appears that final restocking was taking place just before I finished my transaction. I was told to have a good day upon leaving 😁

I wanted a rebounder but they were out of stock when I called. Contact details were shared and I got a call when the item was in store. I now have my rebounder and I'm happy with the product and staff was very helpful and courteous. Keep it up!

I like that they have a fair variety of sporting equipment, I just don't like all the prices. Some things are reasonably priced while others, not so much. Their customer service is okay, and I usually get them when I call.

Every single time I enter this store, I regret doing so. This is a mistake that I will never repeat. Their customer service is hit or miss, and the managers are the worst! While waiting in them to explain a ridiculous policy, I was able to call another store and get exactly what I needed at less than half the cost and 100% better customer service.

Has a decent stock of sporting equipment. Prices can be a bit on the high side but some things just make sense to get here, and can be cheaper than shipping down. By far my best buy has been the adjustable dumbbells (picture attached)

Good store, poor management. I purchased $15,000 worth of products and couldn’t even be given a paper bag. The manager has no problems solving skills and speaks down to the employees. She will cost this store some major losses.

This has to be the worse place in the city to shop. Usually, when a store has to sell you the item on display , they charge a little less. They charged me more due to the fact the item was assembled. I've never heard this in my life. That manager lady will loose more than she stole from me.

Staffs are super friendly and kind when I entered I was approached in the most impressive manner I had to buy something

Horrible store. Would never purchase here again. Purchased a pull up bar with pieces missing from the box and the box was open as if it was already used. I ended up harming myself while assembling as the box never came with instructions.

A wide range of exercise, fitness and sporting equipment available. I was disappointed that the range focused mainly on men, so did not get running shoes.

My daughter was in need of a particular sport wear and only place I could think of was Giscombe's. I went there and they delivered,the perfect fit and quality.

They had called me to tell me that products that I was interested in had arrived so I went there to get some. You have to wear a mask to be admitted and your hands are sanitized. They have staff who are willing ready to assist you to get what you are looking for. Some of their prices are very reasonable.
