😠 This place does not care for your pets! Stay away! I took my feline there after he got hit by a car. I told them I'm having an emergency and the vet said it's not an emergency if he's not flat out or dead! I was the only patient waiting so i wasn't looking for advanced placement in the queue. I just... People often mention kitten, care, service, JSPCA, good, told, surgery, animal, wait, work,

It takes exceptional people to work here. Got along with most of the support staff, except one, must have caught her on a bad day. The place is well kept and did not have a strong odor. They have stringent rules for adoption concerning the place where the adopted pet will be kept. They also have rabbits, turtles, snakes area for visiting school kids on a field trip. Donate if you can..it takes a lot to run the place!!

I just wanted care for my kitten. Uodate: The attached image is what I received after doing an X-Ray at Noah's Ark. My kitten was actually having an emergency and it was rather disgusting of that JSPCA technician to make such a crude comment. It ruined my trust to have them care for my kitten. He should not be allowed to care for anyone's pet.

I honestly love this place. I rescue animals regularly, which means I am at one or another vet clinic at least once a week. The staff at JSPCA is courteous and friendly and answer all of your questions and concerns. I know that they are inundated a lot of the time and have limited resources and even with that, in my experience, they do everything they can to help your animal at the most cost effective prices possible. Please consider adopting a puppy/dog or kitten/cat from JSPCA

I appreciate the mission of the JSPCA but i would not recommend taking a kitten/cat here if the animal is not causing too much trouble to your daily life. I went to give up a very affectionate stray kitten that showed up at my door one early morning because i thought living at JSPCA would be better than the harsh street life. I was also allergic to her saliva, dander, etc as i really tried to adopt her. But, when i saw the dungeon that was to be this sweet kitten's new home, I immediately took the kitten from the cage and left with her. I ran back to the vehicle. Throughout all this, the kitten was so well behaved. It's just best to have the kitten/cat spayed or neutered, feed them and allow them to roam freely.

I stopped by on my way from work 1 morning to adopt a kitten. A male worker saw me outside looking confused but stepping confidently and came to offer some help. He directed me where I should go and got the attention of the lady incharge pf that area. I was told to look around for one I might like and let her know, no touching! I don't know the difference with a male and female so I wanted to have a talk but she was rather busy washing up something. I finally spot a cutie I liked, got her attention and after waitjng for 5 minutes for her to arrive, I was told that "kitten is already taken, choose another one" then she left to resume what she was doing. How do I know the kitten was taken? What are the rules to this? Eventually I observed a loose pink cord around some kittens neck, I also note a colour painted to 1 ear of some of the kittens. I wen outside to see if the guy was still there to offer some help. He confirmed the cord theory I had and informed me the colour meant they already had their surgery. He answered my "why male, why female? " question but that's as far as he could go... again he got the attention of the lady for me and she took her time. Again, I selected a kitten, colored ear, no cord... 7 mins later she came "that kitten is taken, choose another one" then she left again. Tired, frustrated me start get irritated. This lady is not helping, I'm tired from work, just want to select a kitten and go sleep. The options I had became very slim but I eventually elected a kitten... no coloured ear, no pink cord. Got her attention, another 5 mins then she arrived, another 3 mins then she pulled out the kitten documents, another 3 mins and the documents written up, given to me to sign and go pay for the kitten. I told her I have a pick up date so I need the surgery to be done before that, she confirmed. Made my payment and head home. The day before pickup, I got a calling saying the surgery wasn't done and no more will be done for the rest of the week πŸ˜‘ mind you, the kitten is a birthday gift/surprise... so I told them come hell or high water, I'm collecting the kitten the following day. I did, no surgery was done but I was told to return 1 month πŸ˜‘ later to have it done. All in all, the kitten was greatly appreciated by her new mom. I just hope customer service around that kitten section improves soon.

WORST VET EXPERIENCE. I wish there was a lower rating unfortunately there is not. When I arrived I had to sit with my injured cat long before someone gave him attention. He had an amputation to be done and bones to be reset, he was left in their care for over a week before they did his surgery which was botched thanks to doctor Hylton. They charged me approximately 15000 weekly just for his boarding and dressing. There was no splint in his bandage and at the end of the day his bones healed badly. They only padded his leg with cotton buds now I have to take him elsewhere for it to be sorted. These people are money hungry leeches they only called whenever a bill needed to be payed and nothing more. I would rather have my pet die comfortably at home than to bring it here. They're only good for vaccinations and eating disorders.

I love visits to JSPCA. The only thing stopping me from giving a full 5 stars is the wait time at the cashier. Too slow for my liking and I am a patient person. Otherwise lovely.

I love this place so much. Very reasonable priced Veterinary service. They took care of my sick babies. They're just an amazing animal place. They took some stray puppies off my hands and found homes for them.

My first time visiting, didn't expect it to be so crowded but I guess those of us who work during the week only have time on the weekend.. I figured I'd be in for a long wait.. Staff was courteous and informed us that only one vet was on duty.. Everyone waited patiently as we can all understand that the vet on duty was doing her best, she was truly patient and smiling, seeing all the pets brought in for check up.. Even though the wait time was lengthy, everything went well and I was satisfied with the care and attention given to my baby pup.. Going back for follow up visit, keep on doing such awesome works.. Cost was manageable, medication was available on site..my favorite place for animal care

I had a wonderful experience adopting a sweet dog from JSPCA. Roger, one of the attendants helped us to select one and explained the adoption process to us. He inquired if we had a home for the pup before releasing her into our care. The adoption process was seamless and cost us less than $5,000. This cost was used to help to cover the cost to neuter her. I was very impressed when he called a few days later to check on how our sweet pup, Lucy (white) was settling in at her new home. Keep up the great work, JSPCA!

Excellent service. However, emergencies are bumped up so if you go for just a routine checkup you might have a long wait. Ample amount of parking and waiting area is small. The environment and premises are clean.

A great experience. I've been going there since 1980s and have always had good experiences with them. My pet was seen very quickly and was very well attended to the staff. I highly recommend that vet clinic.

A hungry and thirsty little dog wondered unto my unoccupied property three days ago.....he had no intention of leaving and seemed to want to play. I contacted JSPCA the following morning and in less than three hours the team was on site to take him in, so he could get care and be found a new home. That's what I call service......you're doing an awesome job Ms Williams and team. Much appreciated

Service seems to have improved on my last visit, there were significantly more doctors cutting out the regular long wait

Covid protocols in place. Brought the family cat. They took very good care of him. The pet should be taken in a tied up box if you don't have a pet carrier. They pre check, then the vet see the pet then you pay and get prescriptions if necessary.

I was well taken care of. I had to put down my dog and they were very caring, compassionate and understanding and even went out of their way to even console my family regarding the loss of our dog as well as warning us about the possible dangers that can be looming after a dog is poisoned.

Now this place brings back memories. Where should I start: the professional staff and caretakers, the ever improving range of services, the passion and love for animals that can be readily seen in their work. Personally the summer I spent volunteering here was one of the most well spent 6 weeks of my life, and the lessons learned are still with me. Shameless plug: Pedro, Mikey, Roger (and everyone else who I wont mention by name), if you're still there, thanks for having me all those years ago.

Most of the persons I interacted with there were pleasant. All behaved like true professionals. My dog, Coby, was well taken care of there and treated well. I will be going back there soon.

JSPCA is my go to place for my dog's meds. They are best in price and I try to give extra when I can as they are doing the animal kingdom good service and I appreciate their efforts. The workers are friendly too.

Place offers good and affordable veterinary services. Pets get good treatment but service efficiency needs improvement as it is always a wait to get your pet treated.

The customer service is ok but I think the cost fir surgery is too expensive. I took my dog for exam and was told she will need to do a surgery. The quote was exuberant. I could not believe what I was told. For a non profit organization the prices are insensitive
