My experience at the US was quiet favorable, I have no disappointments. However, for my mother who had a visa for Ten (10) years only travelled on it Four (4) times throughout the validity of that visa and never once violated her visa. Nonetheless, it has expired for years now and with several attempts to regain such privilege she was denied and given a paper stating she can reapply. That standard letter of denial should not be applicable to everyone when there are other reason(s) which are clearly not stated why my mother is being refused a visiting visa. It's truly unfortunate that the US Emabassy capitalized on collecting people's money without providing a valid reason for such decisions. It's only fair that it's stated rather than wasting people's money reapplying when it's documented otherwise.

2 deaths in my family in a matter of 6 months and my aunts went to apply and they turned them both down. they asked them each two questions and then denied them a visa. its so sad, all that money went spent hoping they would get an okay even if it was for a week then that would have been okay. the money wasn't the problem but we just wanted a chance and for them to come to the funeral. its like these people dont have a heart and its sad.

I had an unique experience this morning, the service was nice and everyone was professional and courteous, however, the security process is awful! they do not alert anyone that you cannot bring your cell phone, any electronics or any liquids, makeup, etc. I got there being dropped off by someone but since I had all these personal items in my purse they wouldn't allow me to enter. we had to call someone to come and get our cell phones and other items. When the interview is over you don't have a way to call anyone to come pick you up. All this could be avoided by them stating clearly on the website that they dont allow these persona items so people could plan accordingly, although I would imagine they can afford to install personal lockers (for a fee) so people can place their personal items at the entrance. This was a huge inconvenience and made my visit very unpleasant. I hope they take some action so other people dont have to go thru this awful process.

I visited the embassy on January 9th 2023, it was my first time and honestly it was awful... the process was really long. The officer I got was not friendly and I think I was judged based on someone else wrongs and that is not fair, the officer cannot advise me on the basis of denial only that I was not qualify to be granted a visa at this time and I can try again at anytime because I am working.πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ My son which is 9 now got his Visa last year, he is hurting because I am not able to be with him which is sad. I know the officers deal with many persons on a daily basis but I personally think that something should be put in place to carefully assess the approval process because I saw persons who are not working, no children or anything getting approved..... A lie detector test would be best in my own opinion because you do have persons who's simply trying in this life and honestly just want to travel and get a break when they do get a vacation from work or just want to enjoy the experience with their child or children.... It is not easy saving up and make sacrifices to go in Kingston especially when your living far away and all that money gone to waste not even knowing what the criteria are to try again if you wish to.

They turn down people for simple misunderstanding and don't give people a chance to explain themselves because they believe everyone want to run off in their country... America is not all that! Some people just want to visit people who are important to them an come back home, some just want the experience... Americans can visit Jamaica as they please but give jamacans hell just for a visiting visa! Rubish!

So today, I redone my medical, as 6mths has passed for the first one. I needed to drop off my passport back to the US embassy, and these Service Professionals were so courteous. I love how they are all well rounded. I also met a family member that I didn't know I had. Kudos team.πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ™πŸ€²πŸ™ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’•πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’•πŸ’•ββββββββββ

Excellent service; great experience. I visited the Embassy of the United States on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 and was appreciative of the well coordinated flow of operations. I arrived a few minutes early for my 7am appointment and joined the line with other persons who had the same appointment slot. The security officers were respectful, professional and they provided clear and precise instructions every step of the way. The ladies in the yellow and black attire were friendly, professional and most helpful, a true reflection of excellent customer service. The Consular Officer was compassionate and kind. My sister has passed and I wanted a visa to attend her funeral. She made the entire interview simple and showed genuine care for my bereavement. Advise - Bring supporting documentation where possible and provide clear and honest answers; they just need clarification. Good luck!

Was approved. But this came after a long waiting time on the outside. Apart from that, the time of your visa approval to delivery is great! Less than a week. Can't complain.

I visited the embassy in 2016 with my daughter. The staff members were very professional, warm and inviting. The entire process was efficient and well organized. Excellent work, keep it up!

It was great starting from across the road where the persons from Stand-pipe provided u with tips, reminders and directing u in the right line based on ur scheduled appointment. Then the security guards were great as well on the Frontline, but the brown lady at the second checkpoint near di breakfast area was not so nice. Bigup the dark fat lady there and the rest of the staff at the window. They were nice & professional.

Thank you to the entire ACS team! Talk about awesome service! The turnaround on something that usually takes time was lightning fast and they were ultra responsive the entire time as well! Makes me proud to say I have fellow Americans working hard to back my family up anywhere in the World. Thank you!

After applying for the visa in 2020, the date was cancelled until 2022. There was no option for a refund and the visa application was denied. Apparently the dates requested for my other to visit has passed. This makes no sense.

Went there in 2017 and I was a bit nervous, but the experience was a good one. The questions were asked thoroughly and in a professional manner.

Security checks top notch. Do not carry your phones or pens or sweets. Things of such are not allowed in the embassy. Stick to your appointed time because arriving early won't guarantee you will get through any quicker.

Absolute worst service ever. Over 6 months since my relative's interview has been done. At the time of his interview, his medical was not submitted like it should have been on their end. No word from the consulate since then, and his passport which is only form of identification is still in their possession. No communication from the consulate and no answer via phone nor email. All they do is take people's money, drag out the process so you constantly have to be paying to update and redo documents multiple times. A bunch of crooks, they are!

The security officers were courteous and provided the information necessary as required is but the. difficulty comes in wit the embassy not providing an option foe phone storage due to fact they cannot be brought on the premises. People are being advised to give their devices to panhandlers for a price ($1000.00 JM) per phone while you conduct business inside the Embassy. This is unsafe practice and the embassy staff should remedy this by putting lock boxes at the security station for it’s patrons.

This Embassy is a Big Bad Joke just like the United States. They stalk their own citizens. The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Officer told me that they are No Good. Evil people run this Embassy and the United States Department of State.

I've witnessed one of the best experiences here; the processing time from arrival to departure lasted less than 2 hours, and they're VERY COURTEOUS when it comes to your children. I'll never forget them

Your on line access has been down for days. I am a US citizen trying to renew my passport and if you keep this up I will not be able to get an appointment before it expires
