As a national attraction, there needs to be a better layout for visitors. There are locals there that follow you all the way to the fountain, then try perform massages without even discussing the cost. From my experience, many of the women seemed very uncomfortable.

Take it from me who had the nasty experience of the “guides” at bath fountain, save yourself. The water and the spring is great. However, that sort of attraction coming out of Jamaica, it needs to be properly regulated and all those con artists that flood you at the bottom of the road, they all need to be removed as they are a bunch of thieves. They will nice you up and offer to take your stuff claiming they are “helping” you and turn around charging you an arm and a leg for what really??? Them rubbing clay and oil on you??? We kept on asking what’s the price and they kept on stating they have different prices for locals and foreigners and that we’d be good…loool. They are robbers. Of all the times I have visited bath, this was my nastiest experience and honestly, I don’t recommend it there. It’s not nice anymore like one time as the locals make you feel pressured. IT’S NOT WORTH IT. Just the bad roads and the dust we encounter along with being robbed by those con artist people, take your money and spend it elsewhere. They are a bunch of scammers. Those boys don’t deserve your money.

As a Jamaican local, I recently visited the mineral bath in St. Thomas and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! Although it was raining, that did not stop me from enjoying the beauty of the area and the rejuvenating effects of the mineral bath. The mineral bath is located in a picturesque setting surrounded by lush green vegetation, and the sound of the nearby waterfall was soothing to the soul. The mineral bath itself was a unique experience, with its warm and healing waters providing relief for sore muscles and promoting relaxation. The rain added to the natural beauty of the area, making the surrounding greenery even more vibrant and the sound of the waterfall even more peaceful. The water in the bath felt refreshing and invigorating, and I left feeling revitalized and refreshed. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, making sure that my visit was as enjoyable as possible. They provided me with towels, and even offered to take pictures of me in the bath. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the mineral bath in St. Thomas, whether rain or shine. It’s an unforgettable experience that truly showcases the beauty of Jamaica’s natural landscape and the healing power of its mineral waters.

The Locals follow you all the way to the bath like some Thief. I would not recommend this location. I ask for the price before they started the service then in the middle of the service they told me 12000. They kept saying I was getting da local price because they normally charge more especially for foreigners which is 150 usd. Dem a real scamma up inna bath Fountain. Don't go if u don't want to get robbed.

The water is amazing!! You will enjoy it. The cons: The persons there who call themselves masseuse and tour guides are con artists. You are bombarded and harassed and they force a massage on you and when you’re leaving they tell you 7500 per person. Maybe it’s the vehicle we drove but be wary of them. The trek up there is very slippery and daunting. If you have issues walking and going up a hill then I don’t recommend it

This place is absolutely mystical, natured and naturally beautiful! Natural pearl however the local people there will attempt to hustle you, ensure prices for services are discussed before any service is delivered

I recently had the opportunity to visit Bath Fountain for the first time for my birthday week. I was hosted by Higher Level JA @higherlevelja in 11 Miles and we took a day trip to hike the Bath Fountain area and received a massage at the fountain. It was shared with me that Bath Fountain has been utilized for healing throughout Jamaica's history, freedom fighters among them. I didn't look at photos before going, and was totally blown a way. I had a very spiritually and special experience at Bath Fountain while receiving a massage and hiking the surrounding area with Jahchusia Prussia aka Jahman. It saddens me to hear that some foreigners have had a negative experience at such a sacred space. I would welcome future visitors to come without any expectation of what you will receive at the fountain and allow your spirit to be open. These waters are truly healing in many ways and I am happy that I got to experience such a pure place. I will be back soon!

I love this place, the water from the rock is hot and feels great on your skin. Look out for the locals tho. This guy washed our car when we didn't ask him to, then we felt like we had to give a tip. The water is beautiful and it's definitely a place explore and be one with nature. FYI I didn't go to the spa I chose to have the outdoor version with the locals. The trip to the outdoor part is a nice little hike as well.

The roads have improved overall after a few years of reconstruction. Still bad and unfinished areas in-between and especially at the end of travel.

My experience was horrible. It was a bus load of us going there and when we turned on the road, a local on a bike started to guide us to the place and when we arrived he started telling us to bring our essentials etc etc. After that about 2 more locals came and guided us to the actual bath, the road it quite dangerous for elderly persons which makes them inclined to take help from the locals who "work" there. When we got to the bath, locals started giving us massages and wouldn't tell us the price that they were charging. They didn't want to the go further upstream to explore the river saying that spirits will take you away if you go further upstream. Once we got back to the top of where we were before going down to the bath and we ask for the price, one of the SCAMMERS said that it's $5,000 per person which is ridiculously expensive as they are not professionals. Be mindful of who you go to for a massage or bring this for yourself. If you love nature, the place is beautiful. Some of the locals who hustle there are actually nice people and don't want to scam you so once again, be mindful who you go to. There isn't any other attraction apart from the hot water so if that is your sole purpose of traveling then go ahead or if you plan to stop elsewhere.

One of the worse experiences I ever had in Jamaica. Avoid this place at all cost. The locals swarm your car as you get out and are nice enough to bring you up to the waters but do not be fooled, after they take you up they give you a massage and do not discuss any prices prior. After they are done they will tell you a price of $8000 for tourist and $6000 for locals per person all ridiculous prices. Be aware of these scammers and go and do your own thing or establish a price before they start anything (which they will unlikely not say until after). Avoid at all cost.

One of the best spa experience I have ever had. The water feels so good. The sulfer mud rub, penetrates your skin, and gives you a warm feeling when washed with the fountain mineral water. I got home at 7p and slept til 7a the next day. I did have temporary relief of the pain, there is no other experience. Ive been to many spas in my time! I was experiencing alot of pain, needed to try holistic approach. Worth the trip. Will make every attempt to be there yearly.

The worst experience I ever had locals will swarm you and act like they are so nice when you ask what’s the price for their service they will tell you just give them something then after the service they will tell you it 10 thousand or more per person.Beware.

It was a beautiful experience. The only negative and beware it the guys there to work. They are welcoming but never speak price for the massages and even when you ask and when they are finished the price is beyound your expectations. One guy wanted to charge me 16000$ and 9000$ for the kids. Wow shocker. They must have a set price or something.

I go to the hot springs with my husband who is a Rasta and local so my experience may differ from some written here. The hike up to the spring is the way to go, we hire the service and agree on price in the parking lot, they guide you up the whole the way. I get a full massage from who I chose when we reach the bath, the mud pack and the oils are amazing. This is the best spa in the world but because it is rugged I guess some assume they do not know what they doing but you would be wrong to think so.

Very beautiful environs but the lack of signs, poor road conditions and hustlers who are very persistent on giving massages without your request were the only deterrents, even though they were friendly and non-threatening. My experience improved significantly after I managed to convince them "no massages today, we only came to enjoy the river" and so will yours if you say the right words. I definitely felt better than I came, the hot water is very soothing and worth a visit even if only once.

😐 A very small but beautiful botanical garden. It was built in 1779 so time has had its effects on many of the buildings and structures but the plants are still well-tended and worth a look if you're passing through the area. Only one gazebo is present but there are quite a few benches and shaded lawn...
