The place is closed to the public, so look for Donovan, he was friends with Tosh and has the key to do private tours. He's a great guide!!

On our way to Black River, from Negril, we passed the house of late Peter Tosh. A beautiful spot with ocean view. Very pieceful, and good to remember him.

This is mausoleum dedicated to the Peter Tosh who was a vital member of band the Wailers who sang with Bob Marley. It is located a few metres from the beach on Jamaica's south west coast.

Very intimate tour set in nice surroundings but lacking any real history on Peter tosh or his untimley death. Quickly over for $10 entry fee I would of expected a little more

It was neat to see, but they wanted too much money to go inside. It's on the way to the waterfalls.

In the small city of Belmont just before Bluefield, pretty hidden easy to miss off the main street. Had an enjoyable mystical experience as we stepped from the car, I was never a Peter Tosh fan but the place is worth a visit. People are very friendly and knowledge even a very talkative neighbor came over for a chat. March 24th 2019: all the above was over 6 months ago. Today I took a friend from England it was a totally different and unpleasant experience, this time the same guide appeared wearing the same shorts and tee shirt but with visibly large soils, he half heartedly started showing us around pointing out that I've been there before and that he didn't need to repeat (that was 7 months prior and this was the first visit for my friend ) he asked my friend to leave a donation on the way out, she explained that I already informed her she then took JA $500 from her purse, as I headed to the car she stepped into the museum to hand him cash, I walked back to see what was keeping her so long, to my shock she was in the corner with a JA $100 in hand saying " I don't have any more money I already gave you $500" this man ripped the $100 from her hand and turned to me asking for US$10. This was a scary moment with no one else around, we quickly ran to the car to get away telling him I would NEVER bring any more of my guests. Today I would give a minus zero star rating.

Belmond is a very nice place and the memorial is definitely worth to visit. its a special good feeling to stand just next the great peter tosh. you need to pay a small donation of 1000 jamaican dollars, but they deserve the money, because they take care to the memorial, the garden and the visitors and when you're lucky, you will find peters cousin there and have a quick chat or smoke together..

Unfortunately didn't get a chance to visit as we weren't let in (by a hussler standing in front of the door) unless we pay him and let him pay for us. Saw a car parked in but weren't allowed to drive in. A shame

(Translated by Google) Once the most beautiful beaches, places in Jamaica 🇯🇲 where the original Jamaica can still be found, great food prepared by locals, without mass tourism 👍🏼 A great place (Belmont) we would love to come back. As soon as COVID-19 allows. Had a wonderful tour with Donavan, who grew up with Peter. He walked me around the property, shared some great stories of Peter’s life and the work he did for him once he got “famous.” Saw Peter’s family gravesites in the back and checked out the marijuana plants on site. Donavan was in no rush and all smiles. Highly recommend.

Great musician whose music and what he believed and stood is now become reality. Advice to Jamaicans and indeed world at large is,let us celebrate our heroes while they live.
