I stayed in one of the second floor rooms toward the back. The room had a great A/C with remote (though it vibrated a little). The lighting above on the ceiling was nice - it was different colors but set back so you couldn't actually see the lights...it was a nice touch at night. There was also a small deck through a sliding door. Bathroom was great! King size bed very comfortable along with the pillows though maybe could've used an extra blanket - then again, I could just turn down A/C...I guess I just like some weight on me when I sleep The only down side was the TV in the room I was in. There was quite a delay in pressing the button and the channel actually turning...but who wants to watch TV in Jamaica...so I just left it on BBC. The staff was all very friendly. I will miss them and all Jamaicans. It was also very safe on site..

I enjoyed my short stay. Though for work, the front desk staff was kind and friendly, Tirana and Kim from upstairs the restaurant was awesome hope I got their names right... However I dislike the fact that you are limited on food choice. Oh well, see you next time.

Checked in at night, and the parking attendant and two front desk ladies were very lovely in terms of customer service and welcoming us after we had a long stressful day. The room was clean and quiet. The TV volume control was weird (only 2 settings, mute and loud) but other than that no complaints. The rundown at breakfast was fabulous.

I got the wrong room not the one that I paid for I had to go back to the receptionist she provided us with the room that we had book they switched our room without informing us and the reason they provided us with was ridiculous

Peaceful, private, very clean and surprisingly very good. Stayed there for 2 nights and it was very peaceful, private, rooms were clean and the staff that I interacted with were pleasant. The room had AC, a fridge, microwave and an iron. For the price your almost getting the same level of amenities as you would with cheaper 5 star all inclusive hotels in the popular resort areas. This isn't an all inclusive hotel but they offer breakfast in the mornings. For me what I really appreciated was the peaceful ambiance and privacy. If your on a budget and want an elegant, private and peaceful place to spend the night or even take a mini vacation in Kingston I can 100% reccomended Christar....

2 bedroom for $45,000 Jamaican dollars ($300 USD). The cost is outrageous for what you get…the floor in the bathroom has stains on it and when asked they said it’s from repairs that were done and they’ve tried to remove them but we’re unsuccessful. The breakfast they offered was a choice of only two meals none of which I was able to eat, no fruit, no brewed coffee…only sachets of coffee that already had cream in it…which I can’t have…

The hotel is clean staff is friendly. The only problem I had was there was continuous noise in the night, knocking and the moving of furniture upstairs. If u are going to stay here remember to ask for rooms that are not below the entertainment room that is on the top deck.

Went here for a workshop. The conference room was nicely lit, well ventilated and cooled, and staff service was warm and welcoming. I'd host something here myself.

The service from the staff from security right up was very nice, they were polite and patient, they were very accommodating also. The location is good, they're food, gas station, clubs, stores, plaza and other great places surrounding it and they're in walking distance.

Enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was ok. Room is comfy. Staff is friendly.

Recent renovations have definitely improved the rooms. However, constant shortage of hot water and low water pressure are problems I had to ensure.

We reserved the bar for a bridal shower and it was a lovely space. Great size for the numbers we were expecting with catering included in the cost. They also served the first plate for each of the guests, then it was buffet style after. We had pork, fried fish, festivals, tuna sandwiches, fritters, BBQ wings and 2 types of fruit juices. They unfortunately did not provide a water pitcher. They also charged an additional $150 per box for takeaways. It would have been better for a set of these to be included in the cost of the booking to begin with. The restroom facilities for the area needs updating and fixing as it looked a bit dingy yet clean. The location was relatively easy to find also with staff wearing the relevant protective wear and offering hand sanitizer upon entry. Overall, we would book again.

Such an amazing 12 day stay!!! Staff were beyond wonderful!!!!!!

The experience started off rocky but the staff on site was friendly and very helpful. The food was good too. There was construction going on for the duration of my stay and even though there was previous communication set there was a mix up in rooms and other key details. But the staff jumped on it and did their best to fix all the issues.

Central location - great for connecting with friends. The wings and fries are a MUST.

Second time staying and I was impressed! The hotel is now newly renovated and is giving a chic 5 star vibe. Love the new bar and restaurant, the food is delicious and the rooms are nicely updated, modern and comfortable. I love the location too. Shopping centers and things to do in walking distance. Bob Marley museum just down the road.
