    I was very pleased with the staff at Jencare, I just celebrated my Anniversary and treated my wife to a full day here. Setting an appointment was easy and the wait in line was not as long as I expected. Each service was well timed after each other to limit the waiting time . Free snacks and juice was provided for waiting customers and also an open wifi was accessible once you are inside. Their product line is very exclusive, they smell great . There is also a restaurant on the ground that's not too expensive to enjoy a full meal while you wait. My only issue was that on the day before my appointment I needed some info for additional service and I didn't get a reply until the day after i visited

    I think Jencare may be surviving on their good name from times past. It was one of my umpteenth times going. As a child, I can remember aspiring to go to this spa when I visited on several occasions with my aunt. My aunt was a faithful customer, so I believe the standard used to be higher. Jencare used to be the name I most associated with a luxurious spa experience. I went using a gift certificate for a massage and a pedicure. Both times I've gone myself to receive service, it's paled in comparison to my expectations. Firstly, I informed the lady who was directing me to my pedicurist that I would like to have the massage done first, because I wouldn't want my polish to smudge. She said it wouldn't be an issue. I'll address that later. The staff that did my pedicure wasn't friendly and didn't seem particularly concerned when I told her she was hurting me. It was not very relaxing as the staff constantly spoke to each other about how much work they had to do, how unsavoury the working conditions are and how slowly they do their work (extending the time taken for services for the customer) in order to not have to work as hard. This is a problem Jencare needs to fix as my spa experience lasted well beyond the projected time and made my late for my subsequent appointment. Overall, the experience was much like going to a hairdresser in how much the staff talked to each other, and worked on the customers as if we weren't even human beings that were there receiving a service. When my sister and mother visited, they had a similar complaint about the staff and how they were talking while doing their pedicures, and that was years ago, so I don't think this is a new issue. The pedicure was well done, despite the pain. My expression that I had possibly been cut during the service was received with a vehement (but not rude) defense by the pedicurist in her words "to avoid a law suit" which she fears. I'm not sure if I've even received so much as the cursory Jamaican "Hush ya". The lady who did my massage was pleasant, friendly, made me comfortable and responded to my feedback during the massage. Afterwards, she also asked me for feedback on the experience. I believe her name was Ann Marie and she is the reason this review is three stars. The experience for the massage was very different with a comfortable ambiance. We had to prop my feet up on rolled towels during the massage which made it less comfortable overall, but I can't fault her for that. Jencare must improve working conditions for their staff. Not only because this is the right thing to do as employers, but also because it's certainly affecting the customer's experiences and their business. I found another spa that I go to in Kingston and their service is superb. I hope someday Jencare will improve so that I am willing to spend my money there, though this is very unlikely. I've informed my friends and family that this is not my spa of choice.

    I got a gift certificate for a birthday gift, so I decided to use it before it expired. I called to make the appointment, but they didn't even ask for my contact information so they could at least send a text or email with a confirmation. I had to call back a couple of hours before the appointment to make sure things were ready. When I got there, the receptionist didn't even greet me. They sent me upstairs to wait. I sat there for 25 minutes before someone came. The "backcial" felt rushed. They looked at me like I didn't belong there. The atmosphere just felt unwelcoming. It's my first and LAST time going to this place.

    I went to Jencare on Friday, July 1, with my family for an 8am appointment. First, the aestheticians, as usual, are top tier. Keep it up ladies! That’s the only reason you even get a star. Now, let me tell you why I will never go back to this place. When I entered the building, I/we were not even greeted with a “hello.” The receptionist did not seem to fully understand the check-in process so I had to keep asking for next steps. What stood out most about this uncomfortable entry was the demeanor of the “Manager”, Ms. Lee. She was dismissive to both staff and customers. Her only commentary as a welcome was a derisive reference to “…these tourists….” Before leaving, I spoke directly to Ms. Lee about my displeasure and she uttered a very disingenuous apology but did not offer any solutions to ease my discomfort. She is very ill-mannered. As I told Ms. Lee, I have not only held Jencare as the gold standard for spas that I visit, I have also made Jencare a “must visit” place when I visit Jamaica. Also, I have gifted friends and family with their spa packages. So for me, starting and ending a spa experience in displeasure is a deal breaker for my continued support. Lastly, the general appearance of the entrance lobby is also not as pristine and well organized as in past visits and the building looks like it could use a paint refresh. Doesn’t look like you all can afford to lose any business.

    I rarely ever write a review but I felt compelled to write this review. My first visit to this establishment was on December 24, 2021. The establishment was very clean and attractive and the person who provided my service was excellent. I gave the business two points because the customer service and COVID-19 safety measures were awful. I had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment to start, the staff behaved as though I was an inconvenience. Most importantly, there a sign on the entrance door indicating that a mask is required to enter the establishment ( which I support), but many of the staff inside walked around with a mask or wore their mask below their nose and approached us the clients in this manner and became indignant when asked to wear a mask and wear it properly.

    I want to give a special rating to the Massage Therapist Antianette. The services provided by her was exceptional. The pedicure service was horrendous. The Cosmetologist was uncouth and aggressive. She shouldn’t work with people. More like just papers.

    Glamorous on the outside, but it’s a circle inside. We got inside and there’s no clear indication of who is the receptionist or who’s supposed to help, it’s just a group of unprofessional women who seemingly just don’t care. We were just told sign the board and somebody will carry us where were to go. We’ve signed and the help that was supposed to be there isn’t even paying attention to us, they’re huddled up having a group-chat. So unprofessional. I have been to several spas and this is definitely the worst experience just based off professionalism alone. I would not come back nor recommend this place until the staff receives proper training.

    Arrived at 1:12pm waited for over 1.5 hours. At 2:40pm, someone finally said I’ll get through ‘soon’. At 3pm, still waiting, nothing further. I decided to leave. Went in front on the entrance on a call, a friend convinced me to go in and express my displeasure. When I did, one of the employees claimed she was looking for me ‘how long’. This is now 3:12pm. I told her I was in front the building on a call. She basically called me a liar and said I was not there. ??? Excuse me? Finally brought me to the room for my manicure, 15 minutes later and I’m still sitting in the room by myself, no employee is in front me and the table isn’t even set up. Definitely do not recommend unless you have extreme patience and no life.

    I am happy to share that my service was amazing at Jencare. I got a Deep Tissue Massage it was superb! Samantha who offered the service was awesome very polite, courtesy and engaging. However the front desk need some work though but Samantha made up for it. Absolutely amazing! People ask for her and get great service for sure

    My Experience Facial - rushed. Ended in under 30 mins which is the fastest facial I've ever gotten. Was not properly done. Mani & pedi - poor, they need more training on applying BASIC polish. The customer service overall is trash, the staff act as if they're the customers. + if you pay for a Mani, best believe it doesn't include gel polish nor tips (you've got to pay for this separate and even after that it's basic polish, no designs, nothing). Would not recommend to anyone and would never return. Stick to your local nail tech who actually care about the end result of your nail and go somewhere else to get facials.

    I had made an appointment 3 days before for waxing services in Aug 2021. When I got there on time for my appointment, I was told that they didn't have any wax and the receptionist did not even apologise for not informing me before I showed up for my appointment. No one offered a sincere apology or tried to rectify the problem before I left. I left with a sour taste in my mouth and disappointed as a first time customer. Total waste of my time and I'm unimpressed with their customer service. Not somewhere I'd recommend irrespective of their longevity or contributions to the industry.

    My massage therapist was a nice lady named Vintonne. I went in with a stiff upper back. The upper body massage was very good. The stretching and pressure was perfect to relive the tension in my body. I’ll have to go back again for an hour session next time. Excellent massage! Thank you Vintonne.

    If the front desk is this bad smh. I would have been to your NY and Kingston location several years ago and never have I witness such low levels of service. While neglecting my self care, I have referred sooo many persons to your Kingston location - that’s how much fate I had in your brand. Then today I wanted a $30,000 gift cert and came in to acquire same. While the attendant took the information, I had to ask if all was well as the attitude, mannerism and service was not desirous. I allowed the her to start the process but had to leave when another lady entered was treated even worse by another attendant. My only assumption is that the quota for clients have been achieved and now no other business is required. I will continue business and referrals with the competition who are customer and service oriented. Shameful.

    If you want a good Pedicure or Manicure. This is where you should head. The service is excellent and beyond belief, a bit on my experience. Whilst waiting for my service my wife and I received a glass a red wine complimentary on the house and it was worth the wait. The service was wonderful and they care about their customers. 👍🏾 to them and they deserve a FIVE star. I I could give them another I would. Thank you Jencare for a great experience and definitely you will see me again.

    I went because I got a gift certificate. The front desk staff need some lesson in customer service. The mani & pedi technician was not friendly but light up when she took a phone call during the mediocre service. She barely talk, but just tell me where to put my hands or feet. I will NOT be going back as I had to wait 1.5 hours for this. The workers seem displeased with their working situation and is taking it out on the paying customers. To top it all off the mani and pedi was not outstanding, I could do a better job.

    Facial-AWFUL Massage- good Mani n pedi- ok I waited over half hour to do my facial and it was the worst part of the day...she wasn't gentle and all she did was fill my face with 500 products. Extraction didn't happen cause I left with whiteheads on my nose so she just wasted both our times. My massage was good and the lady told me what she was doing and why. Mani n pedi did a good job but after being asked to fill out a sheet with what was to be done, I was asked a million times again not to mention how long after my massage that I sat in the room waiting for them to come. Don't ask me to fill out a sheet with what I going to do and then not inform the staff, it's ANNOYING being asked the same question a million times. Oh n the young lady that escorted me to the massage room did not even say good morning she just came n told me to follow her. My second time there n I'd much rather not go back...the first time was amazing...

    I went to Jencare a few years ago and was turned off by the customer service. My mother talked me into going back this year as I really need to sort my face out. I'm no aesthetician so I requested a consultation to see what would be needed for immediate and long term improvement of my skin. When I got to the receptionist, no greeting. I was asked what i wanted to do and told to have a seat. After sitting for a while another lady came in and made what I consider a ride comment to the receptionist about me sitting there. I was then taken by receptionist to the back. The place was nice but then I was sent upstairs to sit outside and wait. Not sure what I was waiting on because no one knew my name. A lady then came up after a while and told me to follow her into a room. She put me on a bed turned on a light and then told me the name of four products I should buy. I said that's it? She said "yes. Is your acne and spots you want to treat right"? I said yes and she repeated the products, told me to come back in a week and said she would call front desk and tell her. When I went d/stairs I paid for 4 products (over 8k). I had to ask the questions that came to mind just then about how to USE these products. Needless to say I have a million more questions now. The service sucked in my opinion. I immediately took my phone up and called the Face Place and explained my predicament. I went there and wished I had gone there initially instead . They were able to sort my face out short term. If you want good customer service as a regular Jane, I would not recommend Jencare. Will their products work? I will wait and see and post another review then.

    I just want to say that I would highly recommend Jencare to anyone. Their customer service was superb and the environment was so calming. I would also like to say THANK YOU to Cedrica who provided me with my deep tissue massage. One of the best massages that I've received by far. She was so pleasant and caring. You can tell that she knew her stuff. Jencare is now my first choice for a massage whenever I'm in Jamaica 😊

    I visited jencare on 1st of October and I must say I was very turned off by the persons at the front desk, the customer service was non existent...The usual welcome you normally get when u visit a place for the time,I never got, my best friend and I were completely ignored and we stood there not quite sure what to do, it was another older lady that saw us and asked if we were getting through... that slim,short hair brown girl at the front needs to be replaced ,or needs retraining... I would very much like to return, but the thought of encountering her again is a big turn off. Notwithstanding I must say the persons that actually performed the services were very nice and friendly and I did enjoy my visit but if a manager or supervisor every reads this please sort out your reception area, customer service should begin from there.

    I had the worst experience today. I was there from 1pm and left minutes to 6 and still did not get through. My friend and I called yesterday to let them know we are coming today and they claimed no nail technician who does tip was there. After 2 1/2 hours they say someone will be with us soon. A nail technical told me she cannot do my fingers (claiming it's too short). I was disappointed and I will never go back there. The worker at the front desk had an attitude and told us nothing after sitting for hours. Poor poor poor customer service. I do not recommend business at this institution.

    I recently used a gift certificate I was given. I was very apprehensive to use it as my past experience with Jencare over 10 years ago was extremely disappointing and I vowed to never go back. Sadly my initial encounter this time with the receptionist and the Manager did not change my view. Though I had an appointment, I waited for over 45 minutes and though asking several times, nobody offered an explanation for the delay, said how much longer it would take, or even showed the courtesy of extending an apology for the delay. It was not until I asked to speak with the Manager, I realized she was sitting in the same area I was waiting all along and never sought to intervene. It wasn't until I asked to speak with the Manager she came and apologized. The only redemption for this company is the massage therapist, Sharon, who offered exceptional service. My review for her would be 5, and the front office experience 1. Though very appreciative of the gift certificate I received, sadly I would not recommend Jencare to anyone.

    Nadine is the worst facial technician. I would never recommend her. Overall the service has deteriorated so egregiously over the years. I have consistently been unhappy with services here over the last 7 years. Nail technicians assigned to do Mani Pedi have 2 inch long nails and cannot execute efficiently to include poor polish application. The staff arrive late to work and do not even say "good morning" or apologize to the manager who sits at the front and accepts it. They lie about the availability of preferred staff. I have been a client since 1988 - Mrs Samuda's verandah at her home in Kingston 19. There is no way she would have put up with this. Her life's effort has been tarnished and dishonored.

    I visited Jencare on October 2, 2021 for the first time. I have mixed feeling about my experience. Upon arrival the security at the gate was very polite and helpful, I thought to myself this is refreshing! However, when I encountered the younglady at the front desk I felt so disappointed with her level of customer service....she was not the best representative for a first time client or better yet the front desk. I think the security at the gate could have done a better job. The feeling of disappointment vanished when I met the masseuse, Antonette, she was warm and executed her task with professionalism. Thank you Antonette!! I also got my mani and pedi done by Shanna and Shanon. Shanon seemed salty at the begining but warm up afterwards. Shanna on the other hand was very pleasant and professional from the start! My hands and feet were nicely done , thank you ladies. The scenery was beautiful as I imagined . The parking facility is adequate. I will visit again

    Tina performed magic for my pedicure. She was tender throughout snipping and pushing of cuticles I had to look to it butterflies were there, thank you Lisa, great pedicure experience and I will definitely return because of your work. You have a customer!
