If you don't go then you won't know. It is the garden of eden less the forbidden fruit. I had more varieties of fruit in a 24 hour period than I have the last 51 years of my life. All that being said, the experience reset me and also put my body, mind and spirit back in alignment. Thank you to the Scott family for introducing me to a place that needs to be kept special to not only myself but those that reside in paradise. Yes! I shall return ot only for me but to give of myself to the community in any capacity.

We spent a nice night and day at Holywell in one of the cabins and it was sweet. We had a fire in the fireplace and coffee in the morning. The roads are a bit rough there, but you will be used to rough road by the time you get there. There are lovely views of Kingston and otherwise and the vast variety of the plants is very special. There are a lot of nice things going on up there in regards to environmental awareness. A truly special place! I

Super fun time seeing the mountains from a bicycle. The coffee is world-class. Would highly recommend. The ride was all downhill so anyone can enjoy.

It's safe to say this one of the closest ways you can feel heaven on earth, at least in Jamaica(The views!! ) . There are many trails, untouched and protected natural nature parks, rivers, animals etc. There are also coffee farms nearby. You can rent cabins which have all you need to live comfortably (once you're self sufficient). The staff is super friendly! Also, the air quality is exceptional!! I would highly recommend here for family, friends and people looking for a clean, cool calm adventure!

Wonderful place!! Rent a tent or one of the 3 comfortable cabins available at Holywell. Each cabin is equipped with hot/cold water, cooking facilities, utensils and refrigerator. There is also a sitting area and fireplace. There are also BBQ pits outside the cabins.

It's so beautiful all around. You're surrounded by nothing but lush green trees decorated with a variety of beautiful flowers. The sounds of the birds chirping, the trees swaying in the wind and music of the bamboo all makes it so peaceful and relaxing. To top it off, the air is clean and fresh. Mix this with the jaw dropping views and you get paradise!

It was hard but totally worth it. Kinda reminds me of life's journey, more so my Christian walk. When I started out I almost turned back. I ended up heading in the wrong direction at one point and had to call someone for help (cellphone)lol. I eventually went back on the right track, I thought I'd never see that big brown gate at Jacob's Ladder/Portland gap, lol I started praying and asking God to forgive me of my sins because I thought I was going to die, then I finally arrived at the cabins, can you imagine how I felt, RELIEF. I ended up spending the night in one of the cabins, it was COLD, I did not sleep well because of how cold it was. I mean ice water was coming from the pipe. In the am I was contemplating going back down without even getting to the peak but met some wonderful people who were heading up and decided to go too, might as well, I was already half way there. My feet were swollen for about 3 days after but it was definitely worth it.

An idyllic place in the hinterland of Jamaica. This mountain landscape with an abundance of plants and animals is beautiful. If you want to explore more than just beaches in Jamaica, this is the right place for you. You keep passing small rivers and waterfalls. There are also some coffee plantations. For me, this nature park is worth a trip because there are so many beautiful things to see.

It’s a gorgeous National Park. Jamaica is so rich in nature, beautiful and green πŸ™‚the Bkue National park is breathtaking. However it takes a long time to go through as the roads are narrow and very often in bad state so you have to slow down and the locals are so used to the roads that they don’t slow down, it’s a very challenging drive! We were unlucky that we went on a Monday and on an Elections day, so absolutely everything was closed. We tried to find a trail, but it’s absolutely impossible to do it unless you find one of the places which give you an access. So we just drove through the national park.

As always Holywell never fails to provide visitors a cool relaxed vibes with lots of space for activities. There was once a period when I would go to Holywell every weekend. Now I cycle up from Cafe Blue every chance I get. Then stop at the ue Bistro for breakfast.

This is a fantastic area to get some recreation on! I must warn though that it is not for the FAINT of heart. I went on a hike here. Walked a 12 miles round trip from Mill Bank in St Thomas to Ambassabeth in Portland. The journey was grueling. Don't try this if you haven't prepared your body and mind for the distress you are going to experience! Many in my party, including me had severe struggles at some part in the journey... Backpacking through the mountain with our picnic stuff etc felt real exhilarating. We came across lots of flora I had never seen before! Lots of precipice too. I would definitely recommend it, and would definitely go back. Next time I would prepare my body better though... Carly lots of big spray and a light first aid kit. With lots of pain rubπŸ˜…
