We wore our masks. Many people did not. The staff was great. It was a pretty slow day, it seemed. We had a fabulous time. We arrived at 12:45 and left at 4:45. We had a six and seven year old with us. I think we could have used an additional two hours to see *every single* exhibit available. (One of our kids wanted to skip several tanks to get to things she wanted to see.) It was absolutely worth the trip. The staff were really knowledgeable and kind.

My family and I have lived in the DMV for almost 10 years and just made it here this week. It was really nice and our boys thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking was easy and convenient about a block over with discounted parking with validation received at our exit from the aquarium. Children under 4 are free so only my husband and I had to pay for entry which included a military discount. The stroller check and locker rentals were perfect. With multiple levels and areas to explore, we spent a couple of hours taking in all the aquarium had to offer. Even on a weekday there was a nice crowd but not too crowded. They offer dining on location but we didn’t eat there. I’d definitely recommend this aquarium as a great activity for anyone in the area looking for something fun to do.

Such a beautiful experience to see life underwater. The best part is dolphin area and jellyfish section. It’s mesmerizing to see hundreds of different species under one roof. There are multiple levels of this aquarium, each with its own greatness. Love the entire experience. Best for kids! it’s great to see your little ones smile.

Beautiful place, and a wide range of fish from marine to tropical to see and learn about. When we visited, it was too busy, far too busy. We couldn't move. Literally had to wait until crowds had moved passed fish tanks so we could see. Apart from that, I think the place is great. They just need to limit the amount of people who come in here at any one time. The photos upon entering though, they are far too over priced. Apart from that though, the displays are fantastic. Just limit the amount of people in at any one time and it'll be worthy of more stats in my opinion.

Great time out with my wife. First time visitors, on a Saturday at 12:15, we were 30 minutes early and they still let us in. Lots of young families… young kids everywhere, but since they weren’t mine I didn’t care. It was a lot of fun and great things to look at. I’m a big guy could have used a bit more ac in some spots but all good. The rainforest was cool, loved the sloth. Sharks were massive, the dolphins were fun hopefully there will be shows again. The dolphin area was a great space to sit and relax for a bit and watch the 6 dolphins do stuff. We did not see any videos and with that being said we walked the entire place in 1 hour. We also didn’t eat there so can say much on price but PARKING…. That was 28.00 so if you can get a bus that might be better.

The national was a great place to visit. Fun for all ages. The exhibits were very interesting. Watching the dolphins train was fun as well. It only took about 4hrs to go through it all. I would recommend to anyone looking for something to do.

We had an amazing time and our children loved it! They all have done such an amazing job making it really welcoming and beautiful. I love the design and how everything looks like its natural habitat. The staff was awesome and knowledgeable, it was great to ask questions and have factual answers. The activity tables for the kids were perfect and so was the ship/play area. The gift shop was beautiful, we didn't purchase as we were in a hurry but we will be back to visit again! We will definitely recommend to everyone we know! Thank you for bringing such a beautiful, creative, educating environment to Spokane!

They don’t ask for Covid vaccine card anymore, make sure to buy your tickets online, saves a lot of hassle. Great place for kids. They don’t have dolphin show anymore, so you just see the dolphins hanging out in the pool. I like the idea of multiple cafes on such crowded place, they have 3 cafes. One near the jellyfish/dolphin exhibit. One near the main entrance and one on I believe 3rd floor(has a great view). We ordered a cheese pizza and dipn dots. I loved the waterfall! We spent 2 hours and got to see everything. If in the area make sure to check Miss Shirley’s. Amazing breakfast. I do however think the Parking garage charges are insane. We had to pay $30 for only 2hrs.

It is one of the best Aquariums that I have visited. there is much to entertain with the children and a spectacular view. recommended 10 out of 10 and the price is affordable $29.95 for children and $39.95 for adults. I was impressed and my children really enjoyed it. the only thing was that there was no dolphin show 🐬 but everything was very nice.

Worth a visit! The place is maintained well and has very informational exhibits. People of any age group will enjoy it. If you're visiting, ensure you have at least 5 hours in hand. Exhibits close at different times so ensure to review timings. There are certain engagement activities like an activity corner (one exhibit display and an informative session for kids) and 4D movie which run by show times, make sure you've booked tickets ($5 per person) and are at the spot in time. Both these are approx 10 min each. Facilities include wheelchair access, cafeteria, restrooms on each floor, lifts and escalators, family room for nursing/pumping. Two things to note are that the parking is a little far and strollers are to be checked-in (don't forget to take a baby carrier).

I love the National Aquarium. My wife and I visited and had a great experience. I have been many other times, but am still amazed at what you see here. The facility is modern, clean, and very accessible. And the animals and educational opportunity the provide is really over the top. I'm also glad they have made the decision to better care for dolphins versus using them as a show. My only negative is the price, but managing a facility like this is expensive so I understand.

Fabulous place to enjoy learning about life in all water bodies on Earth with the focus on the oceans of course. The entire building is a three story plus height tank! Our nine year old was glued to different windows enjoying the traffic of creatures often passing just inches from the glass. While single day passes seem high priced, the memberships are great deals!

This was a fantastic aquarium for a day trip! Everything was well curated with an easy path to follow. I thought that some of the exhibits were a little small compared to other aquariums I have visited, but I loved the variety of fishes and sea creatures. There was plenty to see and so many colorful and huge fish! There were several bathrooms that were clean and places to rest, a little cafe area, a lunch spot, sharks, jellyfish, and almost everything to make for a great tour of the sea. Apparently there are no more dolphin shows, but you are able to watch them train and play and that was a lot of fun. The only part that was a little disappointing was that we did not find a play section for little kids. I don’t know if it was closed or if we just couldn’t find it, but after looking at fish in amazement for a few hours, kids need to blow off some steam. Other aquariums have play areas, which is a huge help for families. Next time we’ll look harder or hopefully they will build a play spot in the future. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming back!

Though I had an overall good experience, I expected more and it would be better with bigger tanks and walkable tunnels. Navigating inside it was slightly difficult. Food was always available inside it. The jellyfish section is really cool. We visited on Friday at 5 pm which has a discount price on tickets. We attended the 4D experience of Sharks. The narration is from BBC earth and it was engaging. They had some water splash to make the experience more realistic.

This is an absolutely awesome and breathtaking aquarium with tons of unique exhibits to check out! I came here with my boyfriend and we both had so much fun looking at all of the exhibits and learning about various aquatic creatures and habitats! Some of our favorites were the Jelly Invasion jellyfish exhibit, the Sharo Alley exhibit, the Amazon exhibit, and the Rainforest exhibit! They also have dolphin shows, we unfortunately didn't get to see one, because we came too late, but we did get to see the dolphins swimming around! They also usually have ray and jellyfish touch exhibits, but these were currently only open for viewing due to COVID19 precautions. They also have a very nice, streamlined one-way traffic through the museum, which they set up for COVID19 precautions, but which we actually really enjoyed because it ensures you see everything in the museum! Overall such a great experience, and we can't wait to go again!!

Very enjoyable museum. We visited on Friday night, when tickets are half price. Because of this, the place was packed with people, most of who were unmasked. It doesn't feel safe. It would be great to have entrance times offered for masked guests only. Otherwise the museum is excellent, with a path through exhibits that culminates in a walk through an enormous coral reef. Wonderful!

The aquarium and animals were very beautiful, but it was way too crowded and there were not enough staff, which I completely understand is a national crisis. Not enough visitors wearing masks and just too many people in general. But I would definitely go back because there were such incredible exhibits. Plus I love supporting organizations like this.

Really enjoyed our visit to this aquarium. This aquarium is one of the best we have visited with regards to the displays and interactive information. There is a ton of information and it is not only a learning experience but also a fun one. The reasons for the four stars as opposed to a five star review are that there is no parking for the aquarium (you have to park in one of the nearby parking structures and walk over, with the aquarium validating your parking ticket, but only for a certain amount) and because there were several bottlenecks going through the different exhibits. It was not too busy when we visited and yet we found ourselves waiting in a long line several times. There has to be a better way to engineer the flow of people. Expect to spend at least two hours here. We could have spent easily six hours to see everything in a calm, slow pace. Make sure you get your tickets in advance as you have to choose a time slot. There were no dolphin shows available, but you could sit and watch the dolphins get trained and swim around. If you can, go watch one of the 4-D shows, they are worth it.

The National Aquarium is beautiful, on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We were advised to get there early, as they get very crowded towards the afternoon, so we had 9:00 am arrival. We were nearly the only ones there for about 45 minutes, which was amazing. There are multiple levels and you go across a sky bridge to get to the Jellyfish Invasion and Dolphins. They no longer have dolphin shows but you can sit in the arena. We checked in twice and there were never any dolphins to be seen. I don't know if they never have them anymore or just that day. The jellyfish exhibit is beautifully lit, so the jellies are incredible to watch. The information posted was so interesting. There is one area where you can touch a jelly fish (among other things) and that was new to me. We stayed about 2 hours total at the Aquarium and that allowed us to see everything there. We also watched the 4D movie on Sharks, which I liked. We went on a weekend and there were no crowds. People do tend to enter all through the day and it's open until 7.

I stopped in over this past weekend because I absolutely love aquariums. I agree with several other reviewers that this place is a bit overpriced at $40. They have quite of bit of interesting aquatic life, but nothing really earth shattering, with the exception of the bottlenose dolphins and the assortment of different sharks. I also did the little behind the scenes dolphin tour for $25 which was pretty cool and our tour guide was friendly, engaging and informative. I am a New Yorker so I can be a little critical on this aquarium since the one we have in Brooklyn is far superior in comparison. Overall, this aquarium is very clean and well maintained. They have several cafe areas, a 4D theater, touch tanks, a cute gift shop and several tours available. I recommend this place for smaller children as a good start to get them introduced to aquatic species.

$50 per person. We went on a Monday, no wait time. Very impressive aquarium! It was hard to tell by other reviews what it was like. We were pleasantly surprised how big it was and how modern! Super clean and easy to see everything. It's so cool they have so many big sharks and sting rays. They also have a rainforest section that's amazing! We didn't bring our kids, but they would have loved it!! Highly recommend going, we feel it was definitely worth the cost. The set up of the entire place is a little confusing, but super cool once you figure it out.

Nice museum. We enjoyed watching the dolphins during their feeding time. Staff was all nice and helpful. Museum clean. Went in September on a Thursday and it was not very crowded, which was very nice. My only complaint is the price of the museum. Its very expensive for a mid-size museum

We enjoy ourselves. A nice place to take kids. You should still expect crowds. We definitely encountered a large amount of people there. Although they do schedule blocks to try to control that when you purchase your ticket. The attractions were very nice unfortunately they did not have a dolphin show during our visit which you can still watch them in the tank. Overall we had fun and we'll be back.

This is a great place to take your family. Any age would enjoy it. I get a membership every other year. If you're close by it's definitely worth it. The Cafe is also nice. Afterwards you can grab a bite to eat at the tons of restaurants that surround the aquarium.

The aquarium/habitat was very interesting. You were able to see many different animals and environments with great explanations and experiences based around them. I found the aquarium to be a little lack luster as there was a lot of window style exhibits and not as many large areas of mixed animals where you could really feel engulfed in the setting. The bird/reptile areas were much more open and inviting, yet they still felt quite short/small. Overall, a fun experience for the family if you have never been to an aquarium before.

Excellent experience! If you love nature and sea then this is your go to place. I was amazed to see so many different kinds of species in the acquarium. It's pretty big. So, make sure you have enough time to see everything. You will not feel tired to walk around and see. You can touch some jelly fish and it feels awesome. I highly recommend you to take your entire family there. Everyone including your kids will love it.

We had an amazing time. Definitely didn't feel crowded as tickets are required and I think they do a good job at knowing how many people should be in and moving through at a time. It was our first time taking our daughter, 2.5, and she was amazed by it all which makes it more fun as an adult of course to watch a child in awe. It was Halloween weekend so they had fun pumpkins carved in some exhibits too, so it was a great time exploring that as well! It was better than I remembered it being from when I was a kid!

Fun for all ages, this aquarium gives a full day's worth of adventure. This is a beautiful aquarium with plenty of picturesque moments. However, it does tend to get crowded towards the middle of the day. The highlight of my visit was touching the jellyfish. They are just incredible to feel and look at. Just be warned, there are plenty of kids here, so watch your step.

Wonderful aquarium with a variety of displays, including species from around the world. There is very good accessibility throughout the facility, however, be prepared to wait to see exhibits on busier days. You should buy tickets in advance as they are utilizing timed ticket entry. The gift shop has a variety of options for kids and adults. The snack bar is a bit pricey and offers limited selections.

Loved going here with the entire family. Look into getting a membership if you have a large family. It's cheaper than the admission. Nice exhibits, except the dolphins. Used to have a wonderful dolphin show that isn't done any more. Now it is a wonderful dolphin arena with no porpoise (ha ha). The dolphins are still there, just swimming in circles.

The National Aquarium is doing a great job at following safety precautions for guests!! They are taking temperatures, there are hand sanitizers everywhere and they even gave us stylus pens to use on their educational touch screens so we wouldn't have to touch them! They really went above and beyond to keep the aquarium safe for those that want to come experience and learn everything that it has to offer.

I enjoy walking through looking at the fish. I have to recommend the year pass. My wife and I got one and have been almost every weekend since. Parking with the membership works out to be $8. Seeing the aquarium with so few people and just being able to enjoy the sights? Priceless. They have a really straightforward path through so you can see everything including their dolphins. It's a great experience for all ages. My only caution is sometimes their parking validator isn't working so you have to get your parking validated at the garage.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience; from the beginning when trying to enter the lady who is at the door distributing the face masks was very rude; At that time they have indicated to us the policy of strollers that they have (which is that you must leave it stored during your visit) so we had to carry our two daughters; the place was extremely full; We couldn't see anything because there were so many people; it was difficult to walk. the price of the tickets are not worth it for the exhibition they have; I expected much more to see. very disappointment, we traveled for more than an hour to get there.

Incredible aquarium with something for everyone. There's a tropical aviary on the highest floor with rare birds. Tons of sea creatures and sharks of course. My favorite was the jellyfish, they were mesmerizing. The dolphin area was soothing and relaxing to sit in, although there's no formal shows anymore, you can watch the dolphins play with beachballs and other favorite toys.

One of the best aquariums we have ever been to! It’s clean and well-kept, laid out perfectly, and has a large selection of creatures (more sharks and dolphins, for instance, than any other place I have been to). The dolphins were not all that visible, as they were swimming around in their large pool, but we got to see their fins from time to time. We went on a Friday evening and it was not very crowded, which was nice. It’s pricey, but definitely worth it! I definitely suggest going!

Wished this place had parking because come on $50 for Tickets and $30 for parking in some random lot. Make it make sense. Nevertheless, The visit was a nice one. My little one enjoyed her time and that’s all I could ask for. I will say they threw me for a loop when I learned I had to check in my stroller versus using it for her travel through the floors. But hey a little walking never killed anyone. They had a variety of animals fish, mammal and birds a like. Someone was constantly cleaning the facility so that was a nice to see. We went when they were about to close so there wasn’t a lot of people. Would we go again, yes!! Was it worth the visit, yes!! Worth the price, no!! But then again everything is high these days.

If you love going to zoos and aquariums don't pass on a visit to this one. Yes the tickets are a little steep but you will learn much and experience a ton. All the exhibits are very well put together. Kids and adults alike will enjoy every part of the facility. They don't do dolphin shows anymore but if you've ever watched one you'll know these mammals are incredibly intelligent and watching the training sessions is a great and educational experience. Be sure to pick the brains of the people who work here. They'll tell you interesting facts that will make your journey through the aquarium fun. Also be on the lookout for random employees to do feedings at the different exhibits. The food in the maim area is expensive but good.

We love Blue Zoo Spokane! We're very happy you decided to build the first Blue Zoo in our city. My daughter, her 4-yr old, & I have annual passes and we are anxious to get back to using them. I love the variety of sea creatures, reptiles, and birds! We love being able to interact with the rescued manta rays and being able to pet and feed them without any worries. I personally could sit and play with the birds, as I can see my late Father loving to feed them and get as many as he can settling on his hands and arms. My granddaughter loves playing on the ship in the middle and watching the sharks and mermaids! Thanks again for letting Spokane Washington be your first site!

We drove 2 hours to get here and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint. The facility is super clean the animals are extremely healthy, happy, friendly and fed. I reccomend feeding the stingrays and birds they have so much personality. The staff is absolutely amazing with young children and the animals. The price is a little higher then we hoped but seeing how they spend the money and how they treat the animals makes it 100% worth every penny.

Coming from nyc i didn't expect much from this place but boy was i wrong! I took my sisters here to spend the afternoon before their train back to nyc and we had SUCH a great time! I mean look at these insta-worthy pics! I love the layout where they have a starting point and you follow the path until the very end, this way you get to see all the fantastic exhibits. The petting stations were closed bc of covid but we still had a blast checking out the sharks, dolphins and more. Highly recommend this aquarium for both adults and kids!!

I'm impressed and pleased with their covid-19 opening status. They've done a wonderful job of offering hand sanitizer at every turn, restricted the number of people inside at a time, and have just made the experience safe. I really enjoyed it. Sad that there are a few things we missed out on, but the whole purpose of an aquarium is to see the animals, and that was perfect!

Nice mall everything you can think of here. Free WiFi. Wide selection Food court upstairs. Many stores to choose clothes, shoes, or electronics from. Also has a movie theater, bowling alley and billiard tables near food court. One of the largest salt water aquariums in Europe. A great coffee and pastry shop near the east entrance.

We drove from NJ to Baltimore for celebrating 2021 Valentine's Day. The aquarium very well managed the crowd and social distancing. The staff is very courteous and keeps a great check on masks following. Kids enjoyed the different exhibits and loved their day at the aquarium. A great learning too with too much virtual these days.

Beautiful aquarium and easy to get to from DC. Check their website for the list of parking garages. Check out the dolphins before you leave, they are spectacular!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday! I've been wanting to visit again since it's been about ten years since I was last here and it's just as magical as I remember! The nautilus wasn't there this time so I'm not sure what became of those guys (it's been a while since I last saw them though) and the dolphins are all being moved to a habitat in Florida I believe. There were two left when we were there and their tank is kinda depressing, I'm not going to lie. Poor things. Hopefully they'll be happy in their new home down south! Also there's a touch tank now?! When did they put that in? So cool! You can touch horseshoe crabs and manta rays in one tank, and in the other you can touch jellies!! Coolest thing ever! The photos I got are just so magical (and I'm no photographer) and in person it's a whole other beautiful world. The photos don't do these wonderful creatures justice. It's a place you must visit at least once in your life in my opinion.

It was too much money for admission, $39 per adult and about $25 per kid. We were 6, 3 adults and 3 kids and we spent $209! There were no SHOWS such as the dolphins, they were just playing with a ball, not too active. The place itself is not big, the sea animals were great, our favorite were the Jelly fish at display. I just expected a much better, more entertaining experience, larger number of displays for that high entry fee. If there is no shows due to covid. You should cut entry fee as well. It is pretty, but pricey.

Overall the kids loved the aquarium. The only thing that we were very disappointed about was there was NO Dolphin 🐬 show because of COVID-19. Also it was very packed didn't like the large crowds either .

The National Aquarium is one of the best aquariums on the East Coast. My favourite exhibits were the jellyfish! Great place for families, friends, and dates. Note: The admission fee is quite pricey so make sure to see if there are any deals for you on Groupon. They do not take American Express or certain credit card lines if you want to donate to the aquarium or purchase anything there.

Would have given them five stars but they didn't have an octopus!!! Huge fail. Highly disappointed in that (as it was the one thing I was looking forward to seeing). One section was closed during our visit on Father's Day. The 4D movie experience was pretty cool first. Definitely worth the extra couple dollars. The staff was polite and friendly. Not what I was expecting considering my past Baltimore experiences. Wish I got the name of the two employees I spoke with so I could commend them. Might have to make that call to find out.

The National Aquarium is great for all ages but if you have kids 1-5 years old definitely do the annual membership! It’s great in the winter when it’s cold but you need to get out and the heat of the summer too. This round was with teens who didn’t remember it well from early childhood and they still had a great time!

It's worth visiting if you are in Maryland. Value for money, well maintained and have a huge variety of fishes. Had lots of fun. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was crowded. They allow entry in batches so the crowd is well managed. The harbor view is also amazing from the aquarium. Fun place to visit.

Absolutely amazing experience. Highly recommend you see this place at least once. The aquariums were full of so many things to see and even touch. Rainforest was truly incredible with beautiful birds everywhere. Dolphins were very entertaining and a big hit with the kids so make sure to bring them. Strollers need to be checked at entry bit it's free and convenient.

World Class operation. Fabulous layout. Easy to follow the flow and see everything at your own pace. Child friendly. Disappointed the Dolphin Program is in transition. Would have been helpful and informative to have more information on future developments. Worth the trip.

This was my favourite place growing up, and still has a special spot in my heart. A vast number of species and an intimate experience since you can get so close to them. It’s really nice in educational terms, and every time I go I learn something new, as does everyone else. The dolphins are no longer performing for the crowds, and will eventually be transferred to FL so they’ll be gone altogether, but it’s probably for the best. The biggest drawback is the price- my goodness, $50 is getting extreme for adults, and unfortunately prohibitive for those that aren’t able to afford that. Definitely seek out deals before you go, for parking garages as well. Still, worth a visit even if just once. Cheers.

Nice aquarium and lots to see. It's kind of a lot of walking for a wee toddler, but we made it through. Must walk throughout, no strollers. Some very cool exhibits. There is a little fishy smell throughout, but that is not totally unexpected with big open pools and a couple of touching tanks. Very close walking distance to other activities like historical boat walking tours, paddle boats, places to eat, a park to play and places to shop. Friendly and helpful staff and plenty to see and learn. We had trouble with finding much toddler friendly food there, so plan accordingly.

Great place for family fun!! Super clean, very friendly staff. All of the animal seem very happy. We even got to see some divers cleaning the underwater housing to these beautiful sea creatures. They also have some birds and reptiles to look at. You can pet jellyfish and crabs. There's a 4d movie theater and a huge gift shop. Dolphins were fun to watch!

Enjoyed what the National Aquarium had to offer. 5 floors with many different exhibits. Loved the Jellyfish Invasion. Only downplay about the museum experience were, I had came on a day when a school had a field trip so other than having to wait around for the kids it would’ve been a solid 10/10 with that exception 8.5/10

Well worth the money! I was impressed by the size, cleanliness, and educational value of the aquarium. Everything seemed very up-to-date (if not new) and purposeful. It’s easy to spend a whole afternoon here if you take your time. So much to see, and the exhibits are beautiful. I feel like most aquariums focus on the Pacific Ocean, and I appreciated the emphasis on local Atlantic ecosystems. I was pleasantly surprised by the birds (tropic and arctic) too. For someone who appreciates quieter spaces, visiting on a weekday during the day was the way to go. There will still be field trips of kids visiting, but you can avoid the weekend crowds easily.

I love this aquarium and have been coming since it opened in the 1980’s. The exhibits are modern and always well kept. It is a little cramped in the main part of the aquarium, especially on the weekends when it’s crowded, but it’s not so bad that it takes away from the fun. My only complaint is the price, which is much higher than I believe it should be. However, the membership package is a good deal if your family plans to visit more than once per year. One other thing to note: check the website for the list of affiliated garages. The validated parking is significantly cheaper than the normal garage fees and it’s worth using them instead of parking elsewhere (unless you want to park and walk from Little Italy).

Overall, it was a really great experience for the entire family. We especially enjoyed, that so many people walked around that could tell you a lot about the different fishes or habitats. The details and love spend in the creation of the different aquariums is great. This actually lets the dolphins look quite sad, since they "just" have a giant swimming pool with no natural decoration. We spent roughly 4 hours in the aquarium and were flashed the entire time. So many details and different kind of fishes, turtles, etc. The organization, how you walk through the building is great. Especially impressive is the long way going deeper and deeper to the ground of the ocean, while the giant sharks are surrounding you. Overall, we would definitely visit the aquarium again!

It was my family’s first time to visit Blue Zoo. I highly recommend purchasing the “Feeding Tokens.” You can feed the sting rays, parakeets & the river monsters (large fishies.) My daughter fell in love with the very cute & happy sting rays. I loved feeding them shrimp. The workers on the floor are very helpful and enjoy answering any questions that you may have. There are nice aquariums holding a variety of sea life. There’s a small octopus, sharks, & colorful fish to see. Don’t forget to check out the reptile area too. Or maybe you would like to play a virtual reality game that makes you feel that you are in the ocean... Spokane is lucky to have a family oriented place that’s fun for everyone. Keep up the good work Blue Zoo!!!

My son loves it here. We've been coming for over a year now. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The ONLY reason I have given it 4 stas is because a Single Entry is almost 20 bucks. Pretty spendy for such a small space.... It would be a much more reasonable price if it included something extra... Such as maybe One free virtual experience. Or even the ability to feed one animal free of charge (feeding is extra as well). It is a pretty cool experience, however I wouldn't be going at 30 bucks a day for my son and I. Hence the Yearly membership...

Really cool experience. Feeding the rays was awesome. Most of the staff didn't seem particularly enthusiastic and it wasn't clear which critters you could feed or who to ask but it was cool once we chased someone down to ask. Its hard going to a place and seeing management putting little to no effort into what they do... I hope changes can be made, for the sake of the customers and other employees.

A bit too crowded. You have to wait your turn to look at the exhibits. Some people just don't get that COVID is rampant, dozens of others are waiting, and will be standing at one spot waiting for an octopus to smile. The sea life is still serene and beautiful. Always great to visit and see!

It is nice that we are able to visit the aquarium during the pandemic. Of you are planning to go just beware they have very strict rules. Timed entries or membership don't provide priority or timed entry. You could be waiting at least a half hour to enter the building. You are also not able to travel as you please throughout he building. You must follow their path. I am looking forward to visiting again post pandemic but hoping they will keep time entries to minimize crowding

Had a good time, crowds were down, lots of signage for social distancing, plenty of hand sanitizer. Temperature checks before you go in. They have it set up so everything is one way. We really enjoyed the aquarium. It was wasn't very busy when we went, which was a Monday in January. Unfortunately we still missed some stuff, because we didn't know to look for it, like the sloths. We did find it to be a rather expensive day out, and with the Cafe closed, it was disappointing. We probably won't go back, just because it does cost a lot and it's a far drive for us, 2 hours there and 3 back thanks to traffic, but I'm glad we went and checked it out. If you are looking for something to do on a week day, and you live closer, it's a good way to get out of the house and easy enough to socially distance.

I never leave poor reviews but today was exceptionally difficult because of the disorganization at the national aquarium. We bought timed tickets and still spent over an hour waiting in line outside in the extreme cold with two young children before they let us in. The line was wrapping round and round the building. Then inside we were herded like cattle and yelled at by every unfriendly employee this place calls their own. Our preschooler is a resilient little lady and she kept our spirits high talking about how great all the beautiful creatures she got to see were. But the extreme wait times and barking militant atmosphere makes the aquarium a no-go for us for the foreseeable future. A real shame.

Lots of big fish, sharks, and turtles or them to hawk and giggle at. The spaces can feel a bit small in these space-consious times, but a little patience should give you comfort and great views. Visited the Baltimore Aquarium today with family. Was not so happy about the extreme hike in prices, but decided they probably thought necessary for the changes needed with the pandemic. Still, was very excited and looking forward to the experience. Had trusted by the description online re changes taken that appropriate measures would be put in place to keep guests safe by allowing for all the current covid protocols to be supported. Unfortunately we were very disappointed and did not feel safe. Apparently, the Aquarium's 25% capacity is terribly inadequate to allow one to keep a safe and well known distance from others and to not be in crowded spaces. Many areas were narrow and bottle-necked with people. Sanitizing stations were consistently empty, on their last leg, and often conspicuously missing. Staff were in short supply and did not appear to even attempt to support and remind guests of the need to keep distance from each other. Management must surely know of these problems. If you have any concerns about covid exposure I would urge you to look elsewhere for a safer activity. Changes should be made immediately. I appreciate the response owner made. Our experience unfortunately showed that 25% capacity in this situation needs to be adjusted downward as it did not provide for a safely distanced experience in many areas. It seemed clear to our family that additional measures need to be put into place to support the need for social distance and not having crowded indoor areas. Perhaps if additional measures are instituted 25% would be adequate.

This aquarium has so much to show! It’s got so many floors and a neat layout of how the tanks and fishes are placed. They are taking precautions due to Covid and have a specific trail for people to follow so you don’t miss a thing. Make sure you wear appropriate shoes, I made that mistake. Highly recommend this place!

The light, large corridors make the place feel quite spacious. The multifloor aquarium really stands out. There is also a slide for kids from one floor to another. I also like the minimalistic architecture of the building from the outside - all in black. Overall nice design. The Rimi hypermarket inside is very much worth mentioning. It has an extensive offer of cool goods. As foreigners, we found lots of Lithuanian stuff here. They offer 40% off on the self-service ready-to-eat food after 20:00. It was very yummy.

one of the main shopping places in Kaunas, its got a lot of shops, from clothes to toys. Its got a lot of places for kids, toy stores, play places etc. any time you come there you will find a different activity in the center of the mall. The only thing it lacks is a good food store and better staff

  • 2/5 Tautvydas U. 3 years ago on Google
The place is presented well. With high attention to making an attractive environment for a mall that is so far flung from the city centre. But the administration there is abysmal. Doing everything they can to make it a horrible experience for people working there. From no breaks to abhorrent working hours.

We went on a weekday during pandemic conditions. It was very empty, and easy to see everything without feeling hurried. We have a large family, and having a yearlong membership costs less than a single visit would. So, I suggest some people will benefit from doing the math on entrance fees. We have a tall vehicle, so we need to park in an outdoor lot, so we parked in the Renaissance hotel public lot. It cost $31. If you can park in one of the two garages who partner with the aquarium you can get discount by validation. The aquarium takes lots of COVID precautions. And everyone is routed through in a way that you will see everything and not criss cross with others. Dolphins, sharks, jellies, frogs, rays, skates, starfish, seahorses, anemones, crocodiles, birds, trees and fish were wonderful.

Unsure why this is a prime destination. If you've traveled, this is not an earth shattering experience. Wish we could have enjoyed our visit. We were rushed by the staff and constantly reminded to move quckly (among other things). Made it through with two kids 3 and under in just over 1.5 hours (including breaks). We were on-site for feeding time with the dolphins and were directed by the lady with the microphone to go downstairs to watch becauseit would be "best for the kids"...terrible for two little ones. We tried to come back up and they wouldn't let us (Parents, you can guess how that went). Validated parking and were charged $19. They selectively allow some to bring in strollers (unsure why). And they no longer offer military discounts.

The experience was great for the kids but I felt that with the covid it was not that forfilling. The shows were lacking an there was no video show. I think people should know that so that they are not expecting it to be more than you are offering. Bring water or something to drink because all the fountains are cut off and after about an hour you will come accross a machine that has a few choices for 5.00. The Cafe is limited to ices, maybe hotdogs and popcorn. There is very few places to sit during this 2 hour adventure so pace yourself. Not a bad tour for kids but you adults who are doing it for the kids like me when you see the stairs going down its almost over.

Someone is benefiting from these high admission prices & it isn’t the animals or staff. This place strives to be the least accommodating to your children as possible, take your kids to port discovery & let them watch this place on a tablet on the way there(will save you $200). A family of 5 plus parking & food is $300. Doomsday scenarios of your stroller puncturing a glass tank justifies carrying your children around for hours in an already crowded space.

The aquarium was nice and quiet. Please bring a carrier if you have a little one as no strollers are permitted. There is a stroller dropoff zone outside of the entrance before entering. All of the hands on exhibits are suspended due to COVID regulations. Hand sanitizer and signage is throughout the aquarium to assist in keeping everyone safe. I just wished that strollers were permitted as my little is growing and unable to walk. My back was killing me by the time we finished.

So much fun with the family. We loved the jellyfish and the sharks. I wish there were more colorful jellyfish available but it was beautiful regardless. The different fish, coral and anemone.... so many amazing things to see in one place that live under the sea!

The aquarium is quite nice. The time limit where they limit entry is not. A PITA. Great place to kill 2 hours when you have nothing better to do, or need to distract little kids. Bathrooms are clean. They require masks, and are eager to enforce it. Take that as being a word to the wise is sufficient. The cheesecake factory is a two minute walk; enjoy the pumpkin cheesecake.

Hey guys, its been awhile and I have a few things to share. So, I went to the aquarium recently and it wasn't quite what I thought it would be, meaning it wasn't as exciting. But, I still enjoyed it. I just thought the attractions would smack me in the face as soon as I walk in the door, but it was like a maze and I had to seek them out. Ugh, lol. But I took some cool pics.

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is premier! Growing up in Maryland I took this place for granted, I thought every state had an Aquarium equal - I was wrong! Amazing tanks filled with unique life, a frontier for Marine Biology studies, and a staple to the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, boasting an amazing location. It's a go to if you're anywhere near the DC / Annapolis / Baltimore area

This was a great experience, even for adults! Friendly, knowledgeable staff & unique experiences. But the price was a bit of a gut punch at 40.00 a person, plus additional costs for extra experiences like movies. Just be willing to spend a few hours there in order to get your money's worth!

Must see at least once. If you park on the ramps for the aquarium you get a discounted price. There’s a gift shop and cafe. I loved the jelly fish section. You also get really nice harbor views. Not having a child stroller made our experience with a toddler a bit unpleasant but next time I would bring a child leash.

A spectacular aquarium - both in collection, and in design. The progression from local aquatic concerns to broadening exhibits to the rain forest up in the glass pyramid topping the main structure, back down through the Atlantic coral reef to the sharks is a glorious concept of design. The exhibits are well curated and interesting. Recommend the jellyfish exhibit in particular.

  • 4/5 Zachary H. 2 years ago on Google
Great way to spend a few hours exploring different habitats, learning about marine life, and checking out the exhibits. It’s situated right on the Inner Harbor so it can get crowded; inside and outside. There are several public parking lots and limited street parking nearby. We reserved tickets online in advance but were permitted to enter prior to the time slot we selected. One of the staff actually recommended arriving at opening since some animals are still being fed at that time. Masks required currently, but food and beverage are still available and reentry is permitted if needed. The arrows on the floor are easy to follow and ensure you don’t miss anything. We were impressed with how clean and peaceful everything was. My daughter (8) loved the rainforest space on the top floor and the dolphin wing even though shows are currently taking place. You can still sit and watch the dolphins play. One minor deduction for the shark tour. We paid extra to reserve that experience in advance despite limited information. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and you’ll receive good info, the ability to ask questions, and an opportunity to feed fish and see the inside of the shark tank. Unfortunately, that’s the extent. You walk into a dark catwalk and stand over the sharks for a few minutes. Proceeds benefit the aquarium and it’s quality information but not sure the value is worthwhile for most.

We had so much fun visiting! We took advantage of the half-priced tickets on Fridays, so it was a great deal. It felt like the exhibits went on and on and on, you could spend forever in there - we entered at 5pm and stayed until closing time! We also saw the 4D Shark movie which was lots of fun, you only get a little bit wet 😉 speaking of sharks - there were so many in the building, and they’re huge! The underwater viewing of the dolphins was great too, you have a really good view of them playing 🙂 I really enjoyed the National aquarium 🐠🐟🐬🦈

The Aquarium was wonderful! If any complaints at all it's only that the bathrooms need to be maintained a bit more regularly. And that people do NOT understand how to maintain 6ft distance for covid safety reasons. We were constantly having to separate from people not in our group. No one was keeping their distance. This is not a reflection on the amazing staff at the aquarium however just stupid people in general unfortunately.

We wore our masks but a lot of people didn't was were coughing. This aquarium is just beautiful! The staff were incredibly friendly and super knowledgeable able the fishes and penguins. I love the layout of the aquarium with it being a giant cylinder that you walk in with 4 levels including fishes, jellyfish, penguins, corals, and also reptiles. This place is always a must come when you visit Baltimore or Maryland in general. The food market is closed for renovation but they do have a separate food section by the dolphins section.

Don’t miss the Atlantic coral red and Shark alley this is amazing. you can plan on a Friday after 5pm for 50% discounted tickets to save some money, but you may not be able to cover other shows due less time. Use authorized parking lot and validate in the aquarium before you leave.

  • 4/5 Tracey E. 9 months ago on Google
This was our second time visiting the aquarium. Compared to last year the prices have gone up. This place is truly amazing. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about all the animals they care for. They do have “learning” sessions that you can hear from throughout the main section of the aquarium. The dolphins were adorable! A staff member came out and spoke to us about how they are approaching caring for the dolphins. I think it’s absolutely amazing that they don’t do “shows” but take care for them on a more holistic approach! When you visit the dolphins there is not a schedule for a show; but you can watch training sessions, feeding time, and play time. The staff member informed us on the plans to move the dolphins to a better environment where it won’t get as cold and they can experience a more holistic environment. Cant wait to come back next year!

Had a great time here. Thought it would be bigger due to other reviews, but still got top to bottom in a few hours. Always fun to watch. Food and souvenirs as always, way too expensive but we get them anyway. (Over 20 bucks for 2 pretzels and 3 cans of drinks.) Would definitely go back, because I like these types of things.

First time here. I've always wanted to go. My high school friend came to visit for 2 weeks, and we planned a trip to DC and Baltimore Aquarium to sightsee for a couple of days. Baltimore aquarium is amazing and is very well set up. It is very easy to maneuver around and not get lost and to see everything and not miss anything. I think going to this aquarium is worth planning a trip to as it's rated one of the best aquariums in the country. I would highly recommend going to see what they have to offer. My experience was super exciting, and I would love to go again in the future.

My kids had a lot of fun! It was a good time. We toured the entire place, and it only took two and a half hours. They didn't have a lot of sharks. I only saw about 4. My kids were very excited about the crocs and gators though. It's great that they don't make you exit through the gift shop. But I took my oldest in to get everybody something. It was great.

One of the good aquariums I’ve visited - large in size, good experience center, reasonable but outdated 4D movie, good collection of fishes from across the globe and enough space to accommodate a lot of visitors. My only complaint is that there is no full dome walk through display which is amazing in Atlanta and Singapore. The shark collection is best I’ve seen and the dolphin experience is amazing too. Overall a good 3-4 hour experience for kids and adults 😅

Very nice place! Came here today to see the dolphins and sharks, very cool aquarium and most of the employees were very helpful with us finding directions to everything there. Aquarium is wheelchair accessible with plenty of elevators. No wait time and extremely clean

We had a wonderful time. The dolphins didn't have a show that day so we only got to see training. a nice pause for the adults. I wouldn't recommend the food cafe in the dolphin section. That section closes earlier, so they do stop early making items early. Things to note: You won't be able to bring a stroller so remember a sling for the smaller ones. Memberships are great and pay for itself going twice in the year span.

Great experience, even as an adult. It is explorative and educating. The dolphin show is no longer but they do allow spectators to watch the training. Perfect to take the kids, a girls/guys or even date night! Also, *pstt* the upstairs cafe has canned adult beverages and an amazing view. Have fun!!

This place is like no other. Large varying fish to watch, can see jellyfish exhibit, dolphins, coral reef, sharks and many other fish. Plan on being there for at least 4 hours. Parking was easy and convenient, large parking lot across the street. The food and drink menu was very expensive.

I've never been to any aquarium before. So for a first timer, this was a very cool experience. Lots of attractions, great selection of fish. Very accessible.

Spectacular Aquarium that is well designed for crowds. You are naturally guided through a curving interesting route that enables you to see each exhibit all the way up to the rain forest, then back down the middle of a huge aquarium tank with a wonderful variety of large and medium sized fish circling around you as you walk. The Dolphin and Jellyfish side is absolutely beautiful as well. I was obsessed with the design and architecture of this place. A must see aquarium!!! New free Wetlands exhibit opening summer of 2024 will be a wonderful outdoor classroom with a floating walking path and manmade floating wetland islands.

I would definitely recommend going to this aquarium! They've got all types of aquatic life and even touch pools for the little ones. There's a really cool gift shop, it's right by the Harbor. The location is beautiful with a lot of stores nearby, however no parking.

The place was beautiful! It had several sections with all kinds of animals. My daughter and niece loved it. It was a great experience. I would go again in the future.
