Once all is well with your vehicle, the process is quick. Pay the fee online. Print the receipt and take with you. When it's time join the line, drive up on the ramp-one examiner will check horn, indicator,wiper, etc. Then drive to another section as directed, pop the bonnet-another examiner checks the front end the proceeds to drive it (in an 8)-*the is the part that scares many as they go really fast.* Most of the examiners, though stern are courteous. Got there early and was out in 1/2 hour.

The service there is excellent. Quick, efficient and courteous staff. Pay for fitness online, print receipt (PRINT RECEIPT). Then drive up to ramp. Met the man with the black and white beard. He is the one that keeps the place turning. Excellent worker. Very powerful and stern though.

Process was quick, but hated watching how they handle the cars.

The people that work at the depot are unprofessional, and clearly have never been trained in customer service! The WORST of all is the so called supervisor Mr. Wilson. He has NO manners whatsoever and makes no attempt to try to communicate. His attitude is as if you are bothering him. Maybe the problem is he doesn't know how to communicate. Is it then any surprise that the rest of the staff follow suit I pray for the day the government realizes that hiring these unprofessional, incapable people is only hurting the productivity of the country. It cannot be be that most of the time you visit one of these government agencies that your entire day is wasted due to incompetence.

Awesome experience the instructors where stern and precise but tries to get you comfortable before starting ...it was fast and all went well better that expected actually ..knowing how must government agencies can be quite the opposite for eg I wish I could say the same about the tax office -_-

This is a depot. Please dont be confused and think it is an information depot. They process by appointment and don't be late. Be prepared to be told to wait for your name to be called... And wait and wait. The staff work very hard to process your documents... Be patient.. Be very patient... Expect to make several trips to accumulate your documents because the online instructions do not provide the necessary details for a single trip and be done.... This may be why it is necessary to hire driver instructors that are in the know of information not published. Above all, be nice, Jamaica is a beautiful island and i love it here...even if it take multiple trips to the depot for a simple drivers license.... Remember be nice... If only for your happiness and the ITA Staff...

Prompt and accurate inspection of 🚗s. No long waiting. The best place to go if you are a working professional and want to reach work on time after inspection.

Not sure if it's because of the pandemic but on my recent visit the wait was short. The examiners were efficient and polite. I hot through way more quickly than I imagined I would.

It can get busy very quickly but normally I get through in reasonable time.

I have never hated the Swallowfield Examination Depot because my car gets examined quickly and the Certificate of Fitness is issued a few minutes after the examination. The last time I visited (November,2020) I got through in the quickest time.

Went there on June 15, 2023 to renew my fitness and the experience was terrible. Their system went down & as a result they couldn’t print any certs. No one had any idea what was happening or how soon I.T would be able to resolve it, and instead of alerting us prior to transacting anything so that we could decide if we should, they waited until we paid and handed over the documents. Now, after alerting us, they refused to give customers anything to substantiate that the depot was unable to print certs atm, they refused to return any certs so we could come back when their system was back up, or try other depots, or to simply put anxious persons who didn’t want to drive without it minds at ease. So, at the end of the day there were a lot of anxious and unhappy persons who left worrying. The Depot staff really need to learn how to relate to the public and they need to implement measures to help in these instances.

Quick and efficient service. I was surprised. The examiner at the front (inspector) was helpful. It was a little crowdy at the counter where documents are submitted as persons where waiting on their new documents.

There aren't enough negative stars in existence to describe the most unpleasant experience that I had here. Rude and couldn't care less are some of the adjectives that come to mind.

Spacious areas for learners to do their driving exam.

Went there today and it just took half hour to pass my car. Efficient and courteous staff. I just wish they would properly pave the area as there is a lot of pinging in the areas where you have to park.

Very bad experience. The government must do better

Processing of fitness test has improved over the years. Only issue is, you have to pay for the test at a tax office first which is an extra step to take and can take time

Now what do with the extra hour I anticipated to spend getting my car passed? My head is spinning! I barely sat down (note… sat down!!) before hearing my license plate number. Keep it up Swallowfield!

A bit confusing if you're there for the first time doing fitness renewal because the line can start from outside the facility and there's no one there guiding the people who just arrived but once the process starts it's pretty seamless and the staff are helpful in guiding you from one step to the next.

Quick during Corona

The service has improved in recent years. There are more examiners now, so the process is much faster. If only we could see a similar improvement with the tax office.

At the time I visited, I spent less than an hour from, joining inspection line, vehicle check to driving out.

Didn't really go inside. When I went there it was very crowded. The lady that came to be at the door was friendly.

Never had a issue, any problems the car had i was able to get fix and return by a certain time on the same day to ger it passed.

Once everything is ok with your vehicle the process is a breeze
