I don’t like to give bad ratings from one experience... but when your family gets sick after Sunday dinner.... I make an exception. I was in the mood for takeout and saw them on my favorite food ordering app. Honestly I didn’t even look at the name properly and thought I was ordering from another ”Gate”...but that’s on me. I ordered roast chicken, shrimp fried rice, Sichuan pork, chicken and sweet corn soup and fried wontons. The wontons and soup were decent. And that’s where the compliments stop. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was diced and scanty. The pork was too spicy (and we have pepper lovers at the table... the kind that eats scotch bonnet peppers). However the chicken..... if that’s what it was... was horrendous. The smell was off... not sure if it was the type of roasting sauce used, or if the meat was just tainted. The parts weren’t easily identifiable... and the meat was dry and trashy. I never had the chicken really... I couldn’t... but everyone else did... and they all had ailments ranging from belly pain to nausea and vomiting. I started checking online reviews after this... realizing I had made a mistake ordering from them. Never again though... Some inspection on quality control needed.

This is one our typical Chinese restaurants that's just into 'fast food'. If you want a quick bite, here's your place. Wait time here is quite short so there's no need to pre order. You can pre order though if you want to. Food quality is relatively good and reasonably priced. You can dine in but not for a romantic lunch.

The food is hot and the fried rice is good. There is seating in the back that has nice Chinese decor. It's a little out of the way but if you're in New Kingston, it's one of the best walk in Chinese restaurants to dine.

Not the best of places to purchase your food. The safety of the food is questionable as I have found a roach in my lunch twice which on both occasions I've had to return with to show as proof (because I didn't receive my receipt) and subsequently requested a FULL refund. If you've purchased food here, ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPT! They tend to hand you your food and keep YOUR receipt. The food was good yes, but finding insects in my food twice is enough to write them off my list of places for lunch/dinner.

Paid almost $1490 for a sweet and sour bean curd (tofu) and white dish. The food had ZERO salt. Had to ask for it. The sweet was clearly missing from the "sweet and sour". Beyond disappointed. I hate wasting money. I'm never buying food here again. Could barely eat any (see pictures).

The food is pretty good and the service is fast. You can call and order ahead of time so that your wait time is cut down significantly. The restaurant is clean and the seating is comfortable. The cashier could be a little more accommodating but other than that it is a good place to pick up lunch.

Restaurant was clean, wait time was not too long and the food was absolutely delicious!!!! I ordered a 2 meat dish....roast chicken and beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice. It was my first time eating there and I will definitely be back.

I've only ever gone for lunch because the place is normally empty which probably has further implications. Portion sizes are not proportional to the cost, and despite this they want you to pay extra to get a bag for your lunch. No other restaurant charging 800$ for a lunch does that. Shameful. flavors are mostly okay except for the Fried rice which is just salty browned rice.

Delicious and worth every dollar.

I wish they had zero star review. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The rice was ok but when I bite inside the chicken I could smell the rawness inside. It was a complete turn off. Never going back...
