Sadly as a family we have had a number of poor experiences. Trying to speak to someone who can give you an answer is like trying to ride a bike backwards whilst juggling rabbits and singing Yankee doodle dandy.... When you eventually get through, it's to reception who are given the authority to ask for all the details of your ailments but never come back to you with any clear information to answer your questions. After an appointment I had, it took 6 calls just to get my results when I know they were back with them 2 weeks before. I don't need comments like 'there's a pandemic you know', that's like saying shut up and go away! My partner has a disabled son who can't order his own medications and she can't get answers to what she needs to know. She's emailed, called, spoken to reception, tried speaking to doctors and getting to the point of frustration with promises of someone sorting things out and calling or emailing back, but nobody does. Reception can be very abrupt, rude and dismissive of questions asked or information you need. There is little to no understanding of how difficult it is looking after someone with a disability and certainly no empathy for the struggles, especially when support is diminished through the pandemic and made more difficult by the people you have to turn to when you struggle or need help, especially with being a carer. Nobody replies to emails either, the email link doesn't work when you email from their website. There are a number of poor instances, maybe its down to training, maybe in part to having someone more senior available to respond with answers, but the general customer service comes across as poor in many ways. I get the feeling the nice and easy straight forward appointments get a good service and give good reviews because they are easy to deal with, the others that nobody has the answers for don't get a service or answers, get fobbed off and thus get frustrated, then classed as being awkward or difficult. Looking into changing doctors....

Been trying to get an appointment for nearly 4 months due to an ear Infection kept telling me to register which I did 3 times then the only way to get an appointment is through an online consultant. Absolutely rediculous. Phoned them and they also said I need to do it online which is an absolute farce. Why on earth can't a receptionist book in an appointment. I'm now half deaf and still no further to getting an appointment.

Impossible to book an appointment if you work. The phone line cuts off at 8am when they open the appointment bookings and the hold queues are ridiculously long. If you do eventually get through some receptionists go out of their way to try and help but 1 seems to go out of her way to make it as difficult as possible.

The doctors and staff are great. Getting an appointment for anything is hard work. I’m in full time work so am unable to get my number to sign up to the app properly, as I can’t be given it over the phone? The online form makes me reluctant to attend or be seen for anything. The form was a nightmare, the site kept kicking me off 😤 I really feel for older patients who want to get an appointment. As soon as you call your told to go online.

Very hard to get an appointment if you're a working family. You have to phone at 8am and there's 10+ people in the queue. If you've got to get kids to school and get to work this isn't a good time to get an appointment. Phone again an hour later and all the appointments are gone. So basically the booking system favours people who are not parents/carers and who aren't in a normal working hours.

Called the Surgery regarding a serious medical illness with my granddaughter Needed help but all I got was red tape, but receptionist give out information WHICH shouldn't have been allowed to me over the phone So when it pleases them it's fine, but as for me I'd stand a better chance in arranging an appointment with Vladimir Putin.

I needed to make an appointment for a telephone consult with one of the Dr's today and the receptionist I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful. They called me back when they said they would with an appt date that's perfect. Brilliant job, all sorted in a jiffy. What more could you ask for?! :-)

Brilliant surgery. Reception team and all the medical secretaries are very friendly, professional, helpful and patient. I can get an appointment when I need it. Doctors are great (shout out for Dr R Whitaker who has been an amazing support to me and my sister) and they really listen and involve the patient in every aspect of their care plan. I can’t rate them highly enough. Thank you. Katie Park-Walford
