What a lovely shop, wonderful and expert welcome - and thoroughly enjoyable purchasing experience. I had researched the waterproof shoes I needed - and there they were in two colours. The Manager was so helpful in trying two sizes......and then to my surprise, a pair of black 'smartie shoes' just seemed to hop off the shelf. Again - the opportunity to try them on and off we went with two new pairs of shoes, a light step - and a sense of fun generated by two skilful and charming sales assistants. Thank you!

I don't usually give reviews but on this occasion I thought I would. The shoes arrived on time in secure packaging and then when I opened the box there was a little note thanking me for my purchase. How many times do you get that. Thank you Emma it made my day.

Excellent experience, I searched online for 2 months for what I was looking for & I finally found the right pair of walking boots that were waterproof & thermal at Beggs. These boots come in various colours & I chose the Dark Brown & you get 2 different widths laces. I normally am a size 6 but being boots I went for 6.5 and they fit so snugly. It’s not easy to find boots in half sizes so I was very pleased to find these. They are actually very light on the feet which is an added plus. My boots arrived this morning & I just don’t want to take them off as the comfort ability is awesome. I would 100% recommend these boots.

Wow!! What a forgotten gem of a place. On Saturday we were in town looking for ladies shoes for a wedding with no luck. On the way back to the car my wife asked "is that were shoe shop still in Scott st across from the car park."? We looked and found Begg shoes. On entering we were greeted by a very helpful young lady. My wife explained what she was looking for, a tan ankle boot with a small heel suitable for attending a wedding. She saw a style that fitted the bill and the assistant went to the stockroom. On her return my wife tried them on but they were just not right. The assistant then produced a completely different style that she had picked up in the stockroom which ended up being just perfect.

I Ordered some Sketchers 'Work Stride composite work' trainers/shoes. Really good price , extremely good value. Arrived today , really pleased, quick service and a nice personal touch , hand written thank you ! Excellent fit , will definitely recommend, and will order again when needed.
