We have driven past so many times mentioning that we'd love to try it someday. Someday was today and oh boy it was delicious. Happy friendly staff and very good service. The 3 of us all enjoyed our fish and chips and the desserts. Would highly recommend a visit.

A beautiful setting overlooking the sea. The fish and chips were fresh, crisp and delicious. The staff and service were excellent. Courteous, cheerful and efficient. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to treat yourself.

Beautiful place, it felt like an Italian restaurant instead of fish and chips! It was buzzing with chitter chatter, I wish it was daytime because the Gandhi's Temple (known and called by the locals) is in prime location for bueno vista. One thing concerned me that 2 of the main characters, a waiter and a waitress had bags under their eyes. Working or partying too hard. 5 adults, 2 children and the bill was £100 something (less than £101.00) Because I wanted to pay the bill, in a hurry, I forgot to tips and publicly would like to apologise for that. Limited, actually 1 vegetarian option of battered Halloumi! Delicious, far too big. I would recommend.

The Malaysian seafood curry is good. My mum's Malaysian and I grew up with my aunt's curry. This is like home curry made posh for top notch restaurant. And the rice is Jasmine rice that's not rough or coarse like some cheap takeaways or ignorant restaurants. Plus, it comes with southeast Asian salad, almost like our acha acha. The grilled cod was so fresh, doesn't even need the capers. The salmon pate starter is refreshing, and the fish cake starter -- it's not too creamy and you can definitely taste the freshness of the fish mashed in it. The scampi- these are big, sized prawns. dark chocolate torte is rich yet not heavy and addictive even if you are too full. Theres no good soundproofing, noisy but nice view. Service is good unless you got one grumpy one but there be more than one serving the one table so the others' friendliness made up for it. Choice of beers is limited tho. About £30-40 per person for lunch with a glass though we shared two starters and one dessert because we were just too full.

Incredible food with a lovely view! Staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure your every need was taken care of. First time attending as it was for a birthday treat and will definitely visit again. We had the seafood platter for 2 (pictured) and there was so much variety and excellent quality.

I am very pleased with this seafood restaurant, delicious food and cocktails with tasty flavours and great food presentation. Loved their hot seafood platter for 2, I really liked their interior design and location choice of the restaurant. You can see the lovely view of the beach. Definitely recommended to all seafood lovers!

We has some oyster and seefood plate for 2 , amazing food , so large portions, we had to take 20 min break before we could finish it . Staff was extremely nice , bartender was supper cool , and management and waitresses they were kind , talkative, friendly- was a nice atmosphere, pretty view for seaside

The most delicious seafood. Excellent service and great location overlooking the sea. We shared crispy oysters & garlic butter King prawns for starters then I had a yummy seafood curry that came with sticky rice and Asian salad. My better half opted for grilled haddock with caper butter served with chips. We finished off with icecream for me & Elderflower panacotta for him. Faultless!

Beautiful souffle.. fish platter for 2 and chocolate torte dessert.. priced accordingly for the food you receive.. big portions and cooked to perfection.. we had lovely service from the older man ..possibly italian..we didn't catch his name but he was very polite and made us feel welcome

Fabulous setting with great views out along the coast. The salmon teriyaki was spot on and the chocolate torte rich and smooth. Staff were friendly and helpful. Be advised you can’t leave a tip on a card payment; it has to be left in cash

Super service, super food and fabulous cocktails. The restaurant is a joy to visit. The staff are friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the food. I had oysters and then lobster. Would highly recommend the chilli, lime and ginger oysters and the lobster was delicious. If you like sorbet the raspberry is divine. Also the best margarita I’ve had in a while.

Superb seafood restaurant situated on the beach in South Shields. Atmosphere and service impeccable and the fish dishes were all delicious and wonderfully presented no complaints from anyone. The restaurant itself is a fantastic design with views all around. Would highly recommended it’s definitely a must!

Just popped in on a Wimbledon, staff fitted us in for some oysters, chips and scraps! All were amazing. Lovely place. Will definitely be back.

Initially told no table(it was a Saturday evening), we were found downstairs as they’d jiggled the tables !! Perfect fish and good chips and glorious oysters !! Smashing choice of drinks and a little noisy, it didn’t really matter !

Absolutely incredible seafood. The seabass was cooked to perfection, the scampi was golden and the seafood platter was spectacular! Reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Service was excellent too, attentive but not invasive.

We shared scallops and King prawn starters, absolutely amazing, without doubt the scallops were just perfect, the starters also came with bread for dipping. For main we had the seafood platter for two, this included scallops, linguistene, king prawns, salmon, seabass, mussels and 2 portions of chips, on hindsight we probably shouldn't have had starters as we couldn't finish all of the main dish. The food was so tasty and fresh, highly recommend it. The restaurant itself has a lovely view of the beach, warm comfortable environment and the staff are just lovely. We paid around £130 for 2 of us altogether, that included 2 large wines and a Moretti, it was for a treat to celebrate a birthday and worth every penny. My only complaint is we couldn't tip the staff by card and we did not have cash on us, this was disappointing as the staff were fantastic, however we will be visiting again and will make sure we have cash with us.

Each time I come here I am delighted with the quality of the food and the genial staff. We went for a stroll along the coast and popped in on spec to see if there was any availability, fortunately for us it was between lunch and tea so there were a few spots available. We shared oysters for a starter and though the wider menu was incredibly tempting, we stuck to the old fav's one haddock and one cod and chips. I had the curry sauce to embellish this further, I must state the flavours of everything we ate without additions were superb, the extras took it to another dimension. Well Done Colmans, another great meal.

The restaurant is at a great location with an elegant design, modern all glass around and enjoyable to stay, in order to have a drink or food. The food was amazing, every plate detter than the previous, full of flavours. The service was fast and polite as well. I believe that it is an excellent option for seafood, highly recommend.

Delicious seafood options. I couldn't decide what to try first. Make sure to try the souffle with the gruyere cheese. Absolutely amazing! The location is also a plus with great sea view on the restaurant side. Great service too! I would suggest to make a reservation for the weekends as it's quite busy.

I love food - however, Colmans seafood temple was a WHOLE other level!. We had: Seafood Soufflé, Seafood platter and sticky toffee pudding. Let's start with the soufflé. I don't think i have tasted anything like it! the flavour and texture were so on point. whatever that bisque was that it was siting on, was out of this world. The seafood platter was huge and tbh could have fed 3, and the dessert was amazing. On top of all of that, the service here was fantastic, the staff are so knowledgeable and always on top of it. The view is spectacular as it overlooks the sea. My friend (who is Mexican said "the best food i have had in the UK"!) I live in London, I would travel back up here, in the cold, just to come here again! PLEASE do not ever take the soufflé off the menu! xxxxxx

We visited the Temple last night and had the most amazing experience, The food was stunning, the service was superb. Our new Favourite restaurant, We will be back. Well done guys ....

My twin brother and I enjoyed our birthday lunch here and we had a great time. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious, especially the seafood curry and the sticky toffee pudding! The sea views were lovely too!

First time visit to here, even though I love seafood. Was not disappointed!! Had mussels for starter and Malaysian Seafood Curry for main. Stick a fork in my, I'm done

Amazing food, service, and drinks. Although a little pricey, the hot seafood platter was absolutely worth it as a one-off. Finished the experience off with cocktails at the Oyster Bar.

The restaurant looks lovely but we also opted for takeaways downstairs as we had our dog. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I think the takeaway option is brilliant. As we were set on oysters, the chef arranged for us to have them as takeaways. At the time, they were £2.20 each and included a slice of lemon and shallot vinaigrette. The side of chips was delicious!

This place is so beautiful and the view is stunning! In our last visit, the location of our table was just perfect! About the food, for me, the best fish and chips of South Tyneside! 😋

Amazing place. Food was unbelievable Staff were accommodating and very friendly. Tried an oyster for the first time and was not disappointed. The fish tacos were so tasty The curry sauce is probably the best curry sauce i've ever tasted from a fish and chip place. Highly recommended and will definitley be visiting again.

A little too much seasoning but I like it. The lobster was fresh and the sea bass was ok. The only side dish was chips. The sea view needs to be booked in advance, otherwise the experience will be much worse
