Worst shop ever abrupt workers don't help with anything and customer service is worst ever be spending my money in aldi from now on don't deserve customers the way the staff treat peope

Whoever the trolley man was today he really helped my mood by just stopping to chat. Went from feeling pretty low to a lot better. Don't know his name but he was an older man with quite a big frane. I was there at 9am

Bought two pairs of jeans but didn't know I'd bought different leg lengths (my fault) took them back, waited ages at customer services (only one girl for a big queue) told her the problem and she said to leave my bag with her and get the pair i wanted from the shop. Two minutes later I was back with the correct pair and same girl shouted over that i would have to queue up again (queue was even bigger and still only one assistant). I said "you are joking , I've already queued once, here is the pair I have brought back and this other one is the pair I am having in exchange, and here is the receipt I'm off '"she then contacted security who stopped me for not paying for the jeans I had, said i paid for a different pair so was in theory stealing. By this time some of the other staff gathered round said I had to queue again or re swap jeans for the pair I had originally bought which were too long. INEFFICIENCY AT IT'S VERY BEST! I took the jeans i bought and left, think I'll cut them and use as knee lengths. Won't be going back to asda, useless and makes life over complicated.

Free parking, had plenty of child parking available and has a petrol station on site - which is card only as there are no workers. Store itself is smaller than most but still have what youd need to do a decent food shop however not much frozen selection, does have a clothing section though.

Good range of products, the tea selection could have been a bit better imo, but I guess that this is location dependant.

Need to train your staff got the pizza deal 2 pizzas pop 6 pound is good but small portions nothing on them never again

It's pretty close to where I live and convenient plus I work at Asda , has virtually everything that I need.

I never shop in this store only was in as I was visiting elsewhere nearby. I must say, the trolley man was 1 of the most helpful pleasant people I've came across in years.... It was his wife's birthday that week, around 20-25th Nov I'd think... He seen immediately my bags were too heavy, took them all off me and took them to my car. We had a little chat... What an absolute credit to your store.... Thank you, wish I'd got his name.... But I see he's in other reviews.... An absolute gem... 💎

Terrible location, it's in an industrial area with nothing else nearby, as all the retail units have closed down. It's huge, and I can never find anything I want. Not a fan.

Shocking place!! Goes in today to exchange some clothing and customer service closed!! Found a member of staff and asked if I can exchange at one of the tills; was told 'no' quite abruptly. When I asked when it would be opening, I got a shrug of shoulders and she walked away. All you ever see is loads of staff just standing about and gabbing amongst themselves. When I eventually get my exchanges, I won't be going back ever again.

Excellent service by a young female assistant in the self-scan trolley area. Very polite and very efficient.

As well as getting very expensive, I just done a small shop, got to the Express checkout and no carrier bags again, I asked the 4 female staff who were just gassing away, who told me there was none, I asked what I was supposed to carry my shopping out in, all I got was shrugged shoulders, dumped shopping and walked out.

Having done my regular, weekly shop at the South Bank store I was very impressed with the service I received from Ben. He was polite, thorough and a credit to the store.

Have just walked out of Asda southbank,middlesbrough and left my shopping at the till roughly£80 apart from the fact shelves are half empty I still managed to get a few bits for me and my elderly father who is blind,I had picked up six bottles of yellow label lemonade and was abruptly informed by the check out that I could only buy three,I was unaware of this rule as we usually buy branded items,I said no problem my father will pay for his own shopping separate she then talked to me like I was a child saying she was not allowed to do that ,I asked why as now we were two separate customers and I didn't understand why there was still a issue she then proceeded to tell me it was not her fault it was the companys policy not hers,I did not realize it was asda policy to make life so difficult especially for the elderly and disabled,I told her I have never known a shop that is so disrespectful to it customers needless to say I will not be shopping in Asda any more,and if you would like to check CCTV it was about 8pm and there was only one checkout on ,she had purple hair, very upset ex customer

Once again this Asda store was short on trollies small and large, having to walk the carpark or chase the Asda collector through the carpark to get one. As a disabled person who can't walk far and push the larger trollies this puts me off returning to the store. What has happened to the smaller trollies it seems there is only a handful of them certainly not enough for the customers, we are coming up to Christmas and I'm sure this will be a problem for customers at this time of year. Is the lack of trollies due to click and collect and Asda doesn't feel it needs to provide the amount they once had.

Cheap and easy to shoping

There were too many staff in more than a few aisles taking up room packing stacked crates of online shopping orders and it was making it difficult for in-store customers to pick-up their own shopping off the shelves. Maybe to do this at another time other than a busy Sat morning/lunchtime!!

The store was clean. The only let down was two members of staff who were swapping shifts on the tills. We had an item from the shelves that needed to be collected (ps4 game) and the guy went over to get it, was barely 2 minutes and said there weren't any. It was too much trouble for him to see if any in back store because he wanted to finish his shift. The lady who took over was rude and said it must have been out of stock. There was no sticker on the case to say so. She didn't give a toss and was abruptly rude. Not a very pleasant experience in this shop at all. Shame when the rest of the staff were helpful.
