New battery fitted in very quick time. All checks done before given the go ahead to leave. Did not take the name of the fitter but he was very good and a pleasure to deal with. Over all the Halford experience was excellent.

Ordered bike online Tuesday night. Wednesday morning had emeil what my bike is ready for collect from today 9am. So 20 miles from my house to Halford no problem.. When I was going they said what they have only one here example (no in box new) no problem I can take that. They said when need 20 minutes for check or everything is okey with bike(sorry you send me email what bike is ready but now check before) I said no problem I can wait.... After 10 minutes they said sorry tires damage we have order for you new bike🙈. Should be here on Friday or next Tuesday we let you know. When I was back home my son was crying because bike not here. Today( Friday) they not phone me I was do that. They said yes you bike is arrive today but you can came and collect tomorrow 😡why? They all day don't have 5 minutes to check the bike and make my son happy

I placed my order online for new plates to be made up. I wasn't offered a chance to add any extra detail online, so I thought Halfords must only do standard plates. I would of liked a Sco flag on it and possibly a border in blue, there was no offer of this online.. I arrived at the shop and met a lad who took my order number and processed my order, I was charged an extra 25p for supposedly ordering online ? Not to moan I just paid it along with the pads I bought to stick the plates on... Looking at my receipt, I could've had a flag after all, but there was no mention of it even in the shop, yes it would of cost more but I'd of rather paid the extra than get standard plain plates that look massive for my new 6 digit plate instead of the normal 7... The chance to add extras at the till should have been made more available but it is what it is, nae the end of the world lol... The 2 assistants were friendly and talkative.. no quams with them, just with halfords in general.. In future I won't be purchasing anything online as its more hassle than its worth, far easier going to the shop and leaving with what I need ... Great staff, friendly and willing to help but more options needed at the till, maybe just ask if the customer wants any extras added little grumble nithin major hahaha.. Over all the plates are metal nae plastic rubbish, good quality ones, hopefully they last the time ive got the car and not tarnish, doubt I'll drill these so hopefully the sticky pads take a firm hold but nae enough of een fan I need ti spank them aff fan I trade in the car next year.... I went into get a new adhesive sticker for my in car camera mount. There was a young girl at the till serving and a young man talking to someone. I could not see anyone else in the store so I waited by the young man until he had finished. After 4-5 minutes it was clear it was a friend of his and the were talking about licences and insurance, I interrupted politely asking him if they had the adhesive pads for my camera mount. He pointed towards the till saying they are over there and then turned back to talk. It wasn’t clear where they were and the girl came back to the till and I asked her. She said they are in a different place and took me and showed me them giving me good advice about them. The gist is the boy couldn’t care, but the young girl went the extra mile. If I’d spoken to the girl first you would have got a 5 star. The boy doesn’t think customers are important and in my opinion is dead wood. I wouldn’t normally complain, but if this was my company I’d change his attitude. Thank you for listening. It’s your Peterhead branch.

My Battery bank on my yacht completely failed as I was sailing up to Peterhead from Holy Island. I visited the Peterhead Branch and they where able to find the four batteries I needed in their local branches.They where extremely helpful and the service was great.Many thanks.

I needed a socket of a particular size, but I had get an assistant for help as it needed to be tried on my car. Thankfully we had managed to get the correct size.

Ordered a replacement car battery and booked a time slot for the old battery to be replaced. Arrived at the store, Hannah was waiting for me. She was very pleasant, she worked quickly and swiftly. She told me every step she was taking. She even took my old battery away to be recycled. 15 minutes later I was driving my car away with its new battery. Booked my bike in for a health check. Daniel was really good, confirmed my thoughts that cassette and chain were worn. Priced up parts and then told me that there was a government discount. So all in including drive chain service was cheaper than the price of the parts. Excellent service

The Halfords "great price rip-off!" Halfords own branded "Bike Oil" 10W-40 Part Syn Motorcycle Oil 5L (463054) priced on line at £27.99 with either the free next day delivery or collection in store but if you buy it in store it's going to cost you another £4.00 as it's priced at £31.99! I phoned to complain to their customers services but would have been better off chatting to my neighbours cat, perhaps the cat would have had a more genuine understanding of my complaint rather than repeatedly telling me 'he understood where I was coming from.' Well I hope Halfords will understand they have lost a fairly regular customer, it'll be Amazon on line in future.

Man was very polite and helpful. Headlight was stubborn to get out but he remained professional and got it changed quickly with no stress for me 😁 Well worth it!

I had a really good experience at Halfords yesterday thanks to the helpful and pleasant young lady who I dealt with. She was genuine, welcoming and it was lovely to have a quick chat (and a laugh about my imminent attempt to wash my own car for a change!) as she processed my purchases at the till.

Went to halfords to get new wiper blades, i was met by miranda, she sourced and fitted my new wioer blades in under 10mins, miranda was very knowledgable on halfords systems and very customer focused. It was a pleasant shopping experience, especially during these difficult covid 19 times.

Bought a new Yuasa NCC B rated battery for our caravan, could have bought it £5 cheaper but went to Halfords due to convince and reputation. During Covid very helpful staff, purchased online and collected same day. Would be 5 stars but the battery has a vent hole and they don't sell the vent pipes/ tubes, not very clever really. Also you need to know what you want as battery rack is a tad mixed up and no literature available to read/ explain the different batteries and there's not that much selection, but they sell top spec batteries.
