When searching online I found the perfect design for my wedding ring. Jane was really helpful from the beginning discussing what I wanted and the options available, and when changes needed to be made she went out of her way to make sure the ring was perfect for me. I was married on 1st April, everyone loved the ring and it looks great with my engagement ring.

I purchased a beautiful Luckenbooth necklace for my wife's Christmas, she was delighted with it and I have also just purchased the matching Luckenbooth earrings for her Birthday , which she is very happy with. Without doubt, one of the best customer service experiences i've ever had. I was guided through the process of designing and crafting my ring step by step, and the patience and dedication to getting everything just right was over and above what most companies offer. They were also so helpful when it came to resizing it to make sure it fitted perfectly. I seriously urge people to shop at the Tappit Hen instead of the 'run of the mill' high street jewelers.

We ordered our wedding rings at quite short notice. We chose the Edinburgh wave wedding bands, designed by Jane. They arrived in time, with the Assay marks. The rings were absolutely beautiful. Such an original design too. The ring sizer which Jane sent through to us (as we ordered on-line) was very precise, so no need to worry about sizing. Thank you Jane - very special rings ;)

The item I had originally selected was unavailable in the time frame I required and they assisted me in finding an alternative which was actually much nicer than my original choice. I bought my engagement ring for my partner from The Tappit Hen. Jane was very helpful through the whole process and was very helpful in all areas of the purchase. I had already proposed with a placeholder ring so my fiance knew about the actual ring purchase, although she didn't want to choose the ring herself and wanted to be surprised. Jane had us in the shop to size the ring and was definitely taking notes for me of where my fiance's eyes were going to help narrow down the choice of ring. I ended up choosing a Celtic design and was offered many different options and prices for stones to accompany the design. Everything was very clear from start to finish and the ring was ready on schedule and my fiance loved it. We would both definitely highly recommend The Tappit Hen and will no doubt be back for additional items when the wedding comes around.

My girlfriend and me were planning a spontaneous (2 weeks in advance) Roadtrip to Scotland. The perfect ocasion for a proposal. I really wanted to have a ring from Scotland for the proposal and with some research I found The Tappit Hen. I saw the perfect ring but when ordering it, there was a message saying (of course) it would take a couple of weeks to craft the ring. I was sure that it won`t be possible within two weeks but still I contacted Jane to be sure. The communication with Jane was kind and lovely. At the end she said that she can make it and I can pick it up at her gallery when we arrive. Knowing that 2 weeks is not much, I was a bit nervous and stressed out. Two weeks later I had the appointment at the gallery and... wow, hats off Jane, you made it happen and it was great! Thanks again from both of us for how it all worked out. So grateful to have found Tappit Hen who made our wedding rings. Jane was in touch with us at every stage, keeping us updated on the progress of our order. My husband has now lost his ring twice in 2.5 years as he’s incredibly clumsy. Both times I’ve contacted Jane and she’s ensured that the replacements I’ve ordered had exactly the same engraving as the original. Recently I sent mine for cleaning and re-coating as it’s white gold, and as it can take some time to do Jane provided me with a temporary replica to wear on my holidays! Amazing service and most beautiful rings. I’ve also had a couple of other pieces since, a brooch for my maid of honour and a brooch for myself for the Royal Garden Party, both were beautiful. I will definitely be going back in future and recommending Jane to friends and family!

After 35 of marriage, we opted to update our wedding bands and found the perfect rings at The Tappit Hen. The design and quality is wonderful…and so is the customer service. My wife’s ring was one size too large (we were sized elsewhere and sent it in) and The Tappit Hen made another band in the correct size. I recommend Jane and The Tappit Hen without hesitation!

I can only say how much we loved dealing with Jane of The Tappit Hen. We ordered 2 new celtic wedding rings for our 20th Wedding Anniversary as my ring kept dropping off. The rings were beautifully hand made and contained a celtic eternal chain and 4 thistles. I am so pleased with our wedding rings and I cannot state strongly enough that this company should receive 10 stars and not just the usual 5. Trustworthy and honest and a really great jewellery maker.

We wanted to surprise our daughter who was scheduled to be in Edinburgh with a piece of jewelry which not only needed to be custom made but also needed to be dropped off at her nearby hotel. Jane not only accommodated this purchase by getting the piece done in a short period of time, but also hand delivered it for us. Our daughter was ecstatic. Her first question was how did we pull this off? Simply put, we didn't. Jane at the Tappit Hen did! By the way, I failed to mention that this was all done on the day of the Queen's funeral service. Highly recommend using these.I ordered a wedding ring to be engraved, soon after I placed the order, I had to amend the spelling as I had misspelled a word i received an email soon after confirming the change no problem. Nothing was too much trouble they kept in touch and offered advice which was much appreciated and advised about delivery. It arrived exactly when then said and the item with its engraving was stunning . Fantastic product and service.

They arrived today by courier. I placed them on her finger where they belong..I guess we are married again x ♥️

Visited this lovely workshop in Leith when my first wedding band snapped after nearly 35 years. Having checked their website I did have an idea of what I was looking for but Jane's personal service when I visited the workshop was amazing. She offered good advice and was very patient with me when I couldn't quite make up my mind! Great designs and excellent workmanship. Ring arrived today and I am delighted. Highly recommend.

I'm getting married tomorrow and when we found out that we didn't have a Luckenbooth token for the wedding along with a few other traditions that my grandmother would have had on her wedding day (she was born and raised in Bridge of Allan). So we tried to find a nice brooch to act as a lapel pin for the day. Jane from The Tappit Hen was amazing, when she realised the one we ordered wouldn't be back in stock until long after the date of our little ceremony, not only did she find a lovely looking alternative (picture attached) but she managed to get it out to us the next day (today). It means a lot as I was raised by my grandmother and having some of the traditions she used to talk about there on the day is the best gift we could have.
