This doctors surgery used to be amazing, friendly people answering the phones and lovely doctors. since certain people have left and the new office staff have started the surgery has gone downhill. They are rude, abrupt and very obnoxious. we phone to be dealt with compassion and understanding instead we are spoken to like mear peasants. The surgery needs a good shake up and retraining for those that have started within the last year. Honestly cant see the place changing for the good anytime soon!

Not happy one bit with this surgery,they tell you to fone in the morning for cancellation which I did to be told got one fir Tuesday how does this work!!! I wanted for to day thats why I foned!! When sumone isn't right and needs help they should get it !!! No wonder it's getting a bad name !@

This practice is so bad. Very old school, doctors really need to be retrained

Reception staff are terrible only one decent doctor used to think this doctors was good until recently cant even get an appointment cause reception staff sit and talk ignoring the phones and hanging up once the can be bothered

Can not fault newburn surgery at all.Reception try their best to get you appointment! and children always have priority!! Very friendly and helpful! Wouldn’t go anywhere else been with them over 20 years. 🙌 👨‍⚕️

Seen the same black male staff gp don’t know his name twice now no help whatsoever, no empathy or understanding for mental health or listening to the underlying root of the issue; typical quack idiot doctor “what y wanting out of the appointment today” proceeds to do what he didn’t bother to do the last time which was prescribe me medication to help me on the pretence at the time I was suicidal but even more soo being on the wrong meds, horrible man, horrible doctor making me repeat myself, hope this is not an accurate reflection of the entire surgery as a whole because I’ve just moved here and starting to have regrets signing with this doctors.

I deal with GPs from different practices throughout Newcastle and have not came across another surgery that is any where as good as Newburn. It has absolutely amazing staff, Dr Gupta and Dr Turner are excellent and know what they are talking about unlike others at different surgeries that Google your ailments.

Changing 2 weeks ago after being for 16 years in a different GP,when all requests were always a problem. Newburn is totally different,very helpful and resolved the issue very quickly. Brilliant staff.

Amazing friendly staff and GP's going above and beyond to help with any issues. I am very glad I chose this practice for my needs.

I haven't been with them very long however I have absolutely no complaints. Both the reception staff and GPs are all lovely. They have helped me with my prescription and offered advice when it was needed. Times are hard for everyone and I know they will continue to do their best no matter what.

I've been trying to ring since opening and most of the time it was just saying user busy. 3 times i actually got connected and started ringing but no one seems to care or answer the phones at the surgery.

Just transferred here from another doctors the receptionists and the doctors are pleasant they put you at ease, don't make you feel like your asking too much at all.

I've been with this surgery almost 30 years ! Seen GPS come and go ! Always had the best care from the GPs in this practice ! Most importantly the care from the reception staff is impeccable always willing to help. Newburn surgery is also a good practice for medical students ! Long may it continue 5 *

Sent a reperseciption 3 days ago, 2 working days and the pharmacy still does not have it. If I dont get it tomorrow it will be 4 days without medication as I'll have to wait till monday. And I need to order every 2 weeks

Received a txt today to say my appointment to remove my staples from my knee replacement had been cancelled. The reason being they had no nurses.I was told to go to a walk in centre or ring 111.Neither of which was any good as they said go to your doctor.eventualy phoned the hospital who said phone the doctor and tell them it's there job to look after you.And ask to see a district nurse .Why not do that straight away?

Lovely doctors but older nurse is very hands on rough!!
