Walk a Mile for a camel? I drove 280 Miles to check out this shop! admittedly I was in the area for work, however had planed in advance to go there. What a Gem of a place for the Pipe and Cigar aficionado. Gary was outstanding with his customer service and very generous with his time and knowledge for me a relative newbie to pipes. I can see a road trip in the near future with my pipe and cigar smoking friends. Yes, the place is that good! Thank you Gary, I love my new pipe and the 2 tobaccos I picked up!

This shop has a huge selection of pipes and pipe tobacco as well as cigars. I am just getting into pipe smoking and Gary took the time in a store full of customers to sit down with me, help me select a pipe and tobacco, then gave me an entire lesson on how to pack, light, and smoke the pipe. Gary and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and make all of their customers feel like family. The store is also a beautiful old world atmosphere to sit, relax and enjoy a smoke on the second floor overlooking the shop below. I don’t think there is another place like this left in NJ and very few in the country. I am very happy to be a customer and can’t wait to go back!

Went to this place because it was the closest place that had my dad's favorite cigar. Public lounge was incredibly warm, cozy, and comfortable. $1 espressos and spoke to the owner, Gary, who was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. He showed us the private lounge which was absolutely stunning. A great place to smoke a cigar, have a drink, and just hang out. Fell in love with the intimate atmosphere here and can't wait to spend more time with my dad there!

Gary, the owner, is such a nice guy and such a nice salesman as well as his wife. They give special attention to their customers and find the perfect cigar for you. I bought 4 cigars last time and all of it was awesome. The environment is great to smoke your cigar. Definitely recommend everyone to stop by for a nice cigar experience...

My friend recommended this place to me when I told him I was looking for a great quality cigar smoking lounge for my Dad's visit next month. This Tobacco shop combines amazing history of the past with cool, clean modern day future vibe seamlessly. The staff are personable, knowledgeable and passionate about cigars as well as ensuring the best experience to members along with visitors. The variety of cigars and lounges to smoke were all so very impressive. Our time flew by so quickly that we're counting down to our next visit.

Awesome selection of pipe tobacco, everything was a home blend and everything was great. Huge selection of cigars as well and everyone was helpful and quick with service. Employees are knowledgeable, helpful, and all had great attitudes and conversations. Overall a really nice shop and prices were very reasonable. Will return soon!

Great store, purchased my first pipe, and tobacco there last year, great introduction to the hobby that stuck with me! Knowledgeable and very friendly staff, pleasure to talk to and willing to help out new folks. Prices are fair, and selection is excellent, loved their bulk pipe tobacco display. Interior is beyond gorgeous, and is very well kept, loved the classic feel to it all! Unfortunately I moved away from New jersey down to Georgia earlier this year, but whenever I go back to visit i'll be sure to stop in, that's how fine of an establishment The Tobacco shop is, miss having a place like this nearby!

The Tobacco Shop of Ridgewood has an amazing walk-in humidor with a great selection of premium cigars. The experience can be a hit or miss depending on which employee you run into. I have had one that was extremely helpful and wanting to assist and others that are honestly disrespectful in demeanor.

Such a wonderful experience, a friendly not pushy staff who took time to help and explain things. Pick this place over the big chain tobacco stores. Will be returning.
