The food was amazing. There is no other Turkish cuisine that is comparable to El Turco in the area. The atmosphere is clean and well lit, and the staff is friendly. I love the authenticity of the staff as well, which really makes you feel like you are in a truly authentic restaurant. If I had one downfall, it would be the location, because I truly feel Main Street in Hackensack doesn't bring the attention to the restaurant that it deserves. It is 100% worth the trip! Highly Recommend!

We came in on a Wednesday night for dinner . Our friend ordered the lamb chops and was not disappointed. We ordered the El Turco mix and the food was delicious. We also had hummus and falafel as appetizers. Our waitress brought us a free custard dessert and tea on the house which were pleasant surprises. Our dinner @ El Turco was delicious & memorable . We loved chatting with our waitress and left with a great feeling of a really enjoyable dinner. Thank you for a nice evening!!

I love this place. We stopped here after shopping nearby. The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The service was impeccable and so friendly. We will definitely be back. You must try the sour cherry juice- really good. Glad we had all the desserts too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Good place and friendly servers, great for family gatherings. All the dishes overall were good, especially the Kunefe for dessert was so nice! However, street parking is a bit difficult when visiting on weekends or evening hours.

Best Turkish restaurant in North Jersey. It’s not fancy, it’s not Toros it’s not the typical Türkiye restaurant, but it’s amazing. The quality and flavor is the best. I recommend the appetizer sampler. Gives a flavor for every appetizer. Try the grill sampler too, has their every grilled meat. Just amazing. If you don’t get full the dessert is a must. This is the type of restaurant that is a family favorite. As for the service, it’s absolutely amazing. Can’t ask for better.

What an incredible find! Stopped by from out of state after taking a day trip to the area. Was the first restaurant we came across that had an interesting menu. So, we gave it a shot and WOW! food was tremendous, staff was wonderful, and it was the best baklava I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and visit

Food is amazing, we got the mixed appetizers my favorite was the eggplant with tomato. we also got the mixed grill the chicken is one of the best chicken i’ve ever tried. the adana kebab though was a bit greasy although it was good as well. the service was great we asked them to replace the gyro in the mixed grill since we dont like it and they did with kufta kebab. we also got complimentary tea which was so nice of them. definitely coming back and highly recommend this place.

I was visiting my niece who lives in the area so we decided to try here. You walk in and are greeted with wonderful aromas and a warm welcome from the staff and owner. The service is incredible with great focus on pleasing the diner. The food...spectacular...the chicken flavorful, juicy, and tender. Tha Adana was beautifully seasoned and delicious.

Was one of the very first customers of this place circa 2019 - 2020. The owner is an amazing guy. And the food is fantastic! I literally, anything on the menu is great, but my favorite is the lamb platter, also love the baklava - very good. Visit if you are a lover of Mediterranean cuisine!

Amazing. Food was spectacular, dessert was delicious and service was amazing. We had Turkish tea with Kunefe. Omg it was amazing. The waitress recommended it and let us try it on the house! We loved it so much that we had to order a second round! It was my Colombians moms first time trying Turkish food and she can't wait to go back! She ordered the Sautéed Chicken and loved it.

What is not to love about this place?! First, the staff was very friendly and they tend to your needs. Secondly, the food was AMAZING! The menu was clear and to the point and provided images and the staff were able to give you recommendations and made it very hospitable. The restaurant was very clean and they played nice mellow music. I am going to be a regular at this restaurant. Love love loved it! Shoutout to Aleyna and Cemre for the great service! 😄

This place was absolutely amazing! I rely on Google review ratings to choose places to eat and this one absolutely deserves the 4.9 star rating. The chicken Adana was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The baklava we incredible and made fresh in house. Absolutely plan on coming back soon!

This place serves the best Mediterranean food! Delicious salads, including hummus, eggplant salads and babaganoush, and a must have pepper-walnut salad. The meat eaters reported that they loved the lamb kebab and the shish kebab the best, and I hear the ayran is perfect (the Turkish tea, too!). There are plenty of gluten free and vegan options, including an amazing lentil soup, vegetable salads, stuffed vine leaf rolls, and the aforementioned appetizers. Served with pitas, rice and veggie sides. We will be back soon. For dessert, the family got a variation of malabi (creamy dessert) and a knafeh (kadaif noodles filled with sweet cheese) and said it’s delicious. And the Turkish coffee was perfect, too.

Nice place...we had a very late lunch at this place . the food was good..I will definitely recommend the baba ghanoush at this place.. amazing flavor..in addition we ordered the Turkish sausage, chicken kebab and gyro kebab..All were good, though I expected the rice to be more seasoned..Overall a good place for family

Got a really nice vibe from this popular place while trying their lunch specials. It was Tuesday early afternoon and no patrons there, however ladies at the front treated me with their full focus and warmth. But then came the food, ordered their chicken kebab and delicious lentil soup and liked what I tasted a lot! Could not resist to get some baklava and then took some out to let my friend try it. Now he is asking the address of the place lol . Will try to come back as often as possible!

Amazing Food. You can really taste the freshness of their ingredients. Its Chiily and rainy outside so we ordered a chicken and lenti soup to start. Mmmm homemade like my Mom and Grandmother used to make back home. Aleyna was very tentative and sweet. Our first time at this restaurant and she explained their dishes and gave us several recommendations, all were delicious! The El Turco mix was delicious. They serve tea and the end of your meal which is pleasant to your palete. Kunefe for dessert a must. It was my birthday and Aleyna gave us Baklava and that was very sweet of her. Thank you for the great experience. My fiancé Camilo and I will definitely return. El Turco just became one of our favorite restaurants.

Amazing, HIGH QUALITY food. The servers are some of the nicest people ever, and you can tell they truly care about good service, and for you to enjoy the food. The ambiance and the place is generally all enjoyable, I recommend everyone to try this place at least once in their life!!
