Super adorable little Japanese market with a hidden little sushi restaurant in the back. While we haven't tried the sushi yet, we do intend on returning one day and giving it a shot. The market itself has a broad selection of items - way more than I would have expected out of the space. The staff is super friendly too. Very well done!

A nice and small Japanese convenience store. Had a variety of Japanese items ranging from stationery to snacks. 10/10 would recommend visiting.

The sushi you order from there is incredible. The nigiri reminds me of being back in Tokyo. Just a tip you order from the front register.

Super cute Japanese store in the heart of Ridgewood. Staff there is super kind and helpful for anything you need, they even got sushi in the back to make it easier for customers to walk in and just order something right away. Also very cool Japanese things such as snacks, recipes to make food, etc. Definitely love to come here for some cheap and cute Japanese products to have in my home!

Definitely recommend J-Mart if you need something small that most American supermarkets don’t have. Selection is great and prices are reasonable. Staff is great and helpful! The desserts are also really good!

I absolutely love this place! They have so many things inside of such a small and cute store. On top of that, every single person who works there is super friendly and extremely polite. This is probably the one place I don't even bother looking at the prices because everything is fairly priced.

The sushi bar makes better sushi than most sushi restaurants in NJ. Lots selections for snacks, frozen seafoods/meat, and fresh veggies for Japanese hotpot.

So happy to have stumbled upon this wonderful store a couple weeks ago. Very friendly and helpful owners run this market filled with a wide variety of Japanese produce, snacks, drinks, prepared foods, frozen foods and other assorted imported products from Japan. My partner and I decided to get the made to order sushi our first time visiting here and we were blown away. Needles to say it’s unlike any sushi I’ve ever had in the US. It is the most freshest, well seasoned, flavorful sushi in its most purest from you will ever have next to taking a trip to Japan. We’ve come back a second week in a row just for the sushi which should tell you something. We’ll keep returning for weeks to come as well as this level of quality is hard to find elsewhere. From my experience here, I can tell the owners are very passionate about what they do!

Got my miso soup from here, the price was very reasonable

They have lots of products! I would drive a half hour again just to get more things I missed out on. The sushi combo was very good as well! The owner was very nice too! Overall a great experience.

Lovely store. Junko san and her husband are both very humble person. Great little add on to the town of ridgewood. Also, order in advance if you want sushi togo. As they do get busy on weekend with big orders.

It’s a tiny Japan. Japanese snacks, goodies, groceries and more. Their sushi is the best - no need to go to the city looking for better ones. Pick-ups only.
