Astonishing honesty from this guy. I think of myself as a car guy, someone who can tell what's wrong with a car. There was a speed-dependent grinding noise up front. So I thought I had a bad wheel bearing, and I even thought I could tell which side it was on - the right - because it was louder when turning left. (One of those car guy tricks) When I explained the noise and my diagnosis he seemed to think I was making sense, and I told him to go ahead and do it. But I got a call from Joe the next day after he'd had a look: it was just the dust cover for the brakes scraping against some built up rust on the rotor. He just bent it away a little bit and the noise stopped. No problem. Didn't charge me for it either. He had every opportunity there to just do the job I thought it was and make extra money, and I'd have driven away happy, too, never knowing the difference. But he was honest instead. It's a little thing, but I think it's incredibly revealing. Like I said, astonishing honesty!

Great experience with this shop!. My car was towed in, and Joe quickly diagnosed the problem. Price was very fair and reasonable, and additional repair that I knew I needed was also done at a fair price. This is a great repair shop! Highly recommend.

The honest man! No need to add more right? We all had bad experiences with bodyshop guy who wanted to charge extra bringing non necessary issues. Joe is the guy who is honest and never charge extra. One day he fixed my car's water dripping issue for free. I'm so glad to find this bodyshop since I moved here. Thank you Joe, bless your business~

2023 update: Found out this year the prices he charged us 11-months ago for a tire change were 63% above local competitors. Didn’t balance the air in the tires either. Disappointed. Thought this was a Korean family friend. — To preface: My family has been going to “Joe” the mechanic for probably over a decade now. He used to operate out of the Getty Gas Station down the road. My girlfriend works about an hour away from home so I decided to change her tires for the Winter commute. My parents recommended that I go to EERE auto repair because the owner and mechanic “Joe” is not only a family friend but a very honest man. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Joe’s fellow employees. Joe had told us to leave the car, keys, and a phone number to be reached. In less than two hours, I receive a phone call from Joe personally telling me that my girlfriends car was ready.

I go there since I moved to Ridgewood many years ago. He takes really good care of our cars. Whenever our kids come home, I take their car to check for safety, He checks the car thoroughly, and they don't have problems with their car for years even though cars are old and handed down. He is very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend him.

Been going to Joe for a decade on referral from others in Ridgewood. Honest, Fair, Great communication and he drove me home the other day. Joe is old school ethics, and communication. My Hyundai is under warranty with the dealer; but they suck at scheduling and delivering the free service. 100% of 0 is Zero so the Dealership gets ZERO and Joe gets 100. Thanks Joe -

It was my first visit this auto repair shop and I got very professional service with reasonable price. Shop inside was bigger than its appearance looked from outside and well organized. I would strongly recommend this repair shop to others and my neighbors in Ridgewood.

Joe is an exceptional guy. Does the work promptly and honestly. Bought a used car off of him. He even changed the oil free of charge. Your car is in good hands when it’s at his shop.

I found a nail in my tire in the morning, drove by and Ivan said I would need a new tire. He had the tire that afternoon and fixed in 30min - excellent service and fair price!

I went in today due to a slow leak in my tire. They took me right away with no appointment. It ended up being a screw in my tire and they fixed it right away and only took 10 minutes and the prices are extremely fair. The owner and workers were very nice and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Went to EERE auto after Mavis refused to look at my tire until after 1 hour wait. EERE looked at my tire, pulled out a large piece of metal, described the damage and luckily a plug was not needed. They didn't even charge me. Would definitely trust them for further work.

Joe and Frankie are the best! I had a problem with my turning signal today so I just walked in after hearing good things about this place from my relatives in town. They took a look at my car and fixed the light bulb right on the spot and it was done in 5min! Amazing! Joe was only going to charge me for the cost of the light bulb but that is way too generous so I handed him some extra $. Thank you thank you! Will go back there!

Since I just came here in Ridgewood recently, I trusted recommendation provided by previous customers. Based on a lot of good recommendation on-line, I found this service to help me to pull out one nail and fix one tire. When I parked my car there, the nightmare started. The guy sounded a boss and couldn't find the nail even I showed him. He told me he coud find the nail since no leaking. This is logically redicilous. No leaking means no need to take care of the nails, suggesting that no treatment is needed if one nail in his head but still aliving. I am tired of talking with this guy about this. I drove away and found another mechanic service. They found two nails one in each tire. What can I say for this? It is up to you to judge even there are a lot of five star recommendations for the previous service center.

First of all, terrible service and really bad experience. I found this service center through on-line search. There are a lot of five star comments. Now I believe those good comments probably came from their friends or their family. I don't want to say anything. If you have same horrible experience as me, just give them negative to warn future customers.

Mr Joo is the one and only mechanic we can totally trust with our cars. Our family’s been going for almost 30 years because he’s honest, accommodating, and most of all a great mechanic.
