Room didn't look like pictures. They say no smoking but when got off elevator you can smell smoke and in room. Truly a Motel issues with locking door and key card, keep shoes on floors nasty, bathroom was scary. The only thing good about this room the bed was clean and comfortable. The TV didn't even work was just glad it was only 1 night.

ZERO STARS Booked our room through Gov Vacation Rewards. Charged $240.00 for a Non Refundable room. If I could attach pictures of the room you’d be shocked. Don’t be sucked in that your getting a discount for a decent hotel for being a Veteran, Your getting ripped off. This room would be worth $69.00 on its best day. There’s cigarette burns on the furniture as well as the toilet lid and rim, walls and doors are gross, dirty and falling apart, Safe is hanging off the wall, no comforter (I slept on towels and covered with same)and a/c control is unusable. I could go on but, to the point be warned DONT USE GOV VACATION REWARDS AND DONT STAY AT MIDTOWN IN DOWNTOWN NEW ORLEANS. The guy that checked us in was nice 👍🏻

A one night stay taken care of by the VA SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran's Family) before getting moved into the condo apartment the next day. On Tulane just south of CA

Exceptionally poor condition of the hotel. Dirty and smelly room. Lamps crooked, blinds broken, and a generally unsafe feel to the hotel. 3 weeks after my stay they charged me $75 for smoking in their room... although I dont smoke. Calling back to them they ("Tahiti") told me I lied and wouldnt remove the charge. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone for their poor service and intentional wrong billing. You will regret staying there.

WHY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE SUCH LOW RATING? It was an excellent room, excellent location, and more than anything excellent staff. I wish I had taken the name of that lady! Feel in love with her demeanor. The room and bathroom were surprisingly spacious and clean. For the price I paid, I WAS NOT expecting that!!! Got a few interesting eateries around. Bus 39 takes you direct to downtown and runs 24x7. Safe parking. Won't think twice before booking this place next time I visit!

This place is so bad i cancelled my non refundable reservations and stayed somewhere else. Local warned us that are belongings would not be safe. Bus driver from airport said its a Bad neighborhood. Do not recommend, not worth it.

Excellent hotel. Rooms are newly refurbished, spotlessly clean, and spacious. Staff was polite. The area is definitely not as bad as people are claiming. Ignore the negative reviews; I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for about a week here after being gifted a stay at Midtown. We didn’t have a choice in hotel, and after reading reviews, I was super nervous about staying here and was ready to shell out for a different if they were as bad as I’d read in the reviews. Truthfully, this is an okay, no-frills hotel. For our stay, the hosts at the front desk were friendly and helpful; getting us fresh towels when we asked, helping with recommendations for food and activities and were just generally really kind. The front lobby gives an impression that this will be a decently nice hotel, but it is definitely the nicest part of the hotel. Our room was fine. Again, this is definitely a no frills hotel. No microwave, no mini-fridge. Just the bed, night stands, and a small desk and sitting room chair. The room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. We checked for bed bugs and critters and didn’t find anything that made us feel uncomfortable or like the room was gross. The room definitely had a musty smell, but, in my experience any old hotel in a humid city will be like that, so it didn’t bother me too much. The AC worked great and made it a nice break from the heat while we stayed. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot throughout most of our stay. Of our 8 days there, we had two where the water was cold in the shower and both instances were when we showered right around 9:00AM, when I assume a lot of others were showering too. The neighborhood is okay; we felt safe walking together pretty much anytime, although I woudnt have felt comfortable walking alone after dark or with children. The location is actually pretty good! It’s a 10 minute walk to the trolley (which is unlimited use for only $3/person/day) and gets you right to Bourbon, Frenchman, the museum and pretty much anywhere you’d want to go. Ubers to the city were never more than about $15.00 per trip so it was a good rate for us! While I probably wouldn’t seek out this hotel again, we had a safe, pleasant stay. Honestly for the price I see listed, it’s a pretty good deal.

Reserved a single king bed room over a week before my stay, Instead I was given a double bedroom with full beds...Water took FOREVER to get hot, ceiling had water staining, also noticed we didnt get a refrigerator when i noticed stand up mini fridges in other guests rooms, wouldnt stay here again thats for sure. Also our light quit working the morning of our last day.

This place is the cutest. Staff was so sweet and funny. He even came up to the 4th floor and helped us open the door. (We couldn’t figure it out. Just a bunch of country folks from Arkansas.) The room is huge!!! Beds are comfortable. Room is clean. I can’t complain at all. Seen a review about the tp and no shower cap. I don’t know about anyone else, but we don’t have those at our hotels in Arkansas. Y’all bougie if you need those to be supplied at your hotel. This ain’t Burger King. You don’t get things your way. Maybe stay somewhere else. My wife and I, love this hotel.

Some staff were very friendly. I found bed bugs on our pillow and when I brought it to the managers attention at first she said that was a very serious matter and needed to be taken care of immediately.. However when she got to the room she said "I'm too big and lazy" to get on the floor to observe the bed bugs She said they were not bed bugs, couldn't be possible bc that was a "new room". . so when the bed bugs came out again later I took pics and brought to her attention again. She only offered to pay $7 cash to wash our clothes which I had 4 loads of clothes. Then made us stay in the same room until check-out time wwasw more than 5 hours later with no type of discount. I wouldn't suggest anyone to stay here. We found 2 needles On the floor. Hot tub was not in working order.

If you are a family. Don't live here! Take something closer to The town. The area is sketchy. Some Customers that were staying here were sketchy. I'm glad I was here with my fiance only. The rooms and hallway smells like weed, warm water in The showers came on after 30 minutes and it last maybe 5 minutes and turns cold again. The keycards to the rooms dosen't work on some rooms. The straff was kind tho. I will never stay at this motel/Hotel again. Yuck!!

In the room: no hot shower at 8am and 8pm. Toilets were clogged, we warned them, they unclogged them but didnt even clean them, and the next day, they were plugged again. (The common restroom were also not functional) Spider web on the roof, no hair dryer, no small fridge in the room, no hangers in the closet. One of the room we took didnt even have a window, not sure that is legal... Overall an abysmall experience, especially for the price. The front desk did what they could but you could feel that management just did not care for their hotel.

Only have 2 stars for the staff and close to a few good restaurants. I checked in with my 3 kids. It was our first time in New Orleans. The staff were friendly. The location is sketchy. I gave in for the price BUUUUT..... you get what you pay for. The lobby is nice but the rooms looked like a dorm room but cheaper. No fridge, no phone, no dresser, no coffee maker no microwave(I know some hotels do not have inside the rooms) but no HOT WATER OR REFRIGERATOR!!!! The microwave they had downstairs was broken so after my kids tried to warm up some water to make tea, the handle broke. The front desk agent glued it back on and said it give it time to dry. there was black mold in the ac which I didn't notice until our last night. We stayed here for 4 nights. After day 2 no more hot water no matter how long we kept the water running trying to get it. The parking lot is "gated" but it took us so many tries with the code they provided EVERYTIME we came in, i came close to parking the rental outside but to afraid because of the area. The Gate takes a long time to close, I counted. It takes 50 sec from the time it starts to close half way. So that means at least 4 cars can come in after you (which 1 person did) before it closed one night. The entry door from the "gated" parking lot broke on day 2. I informed the front desk agent and she said that she'll call maintenance but the next morning it was still broken. The "cabanas" aren't worth a dime and this place needs a lot of work. Building is run down. I would never stay here again, will not recommend at all

Hotel is currently being updated. We had and updated room. It was nice. Smoke detector was missing and the door lock didn't work when we first got there. The lady at the front desk was super nice and got the lock fixed right away, she also was awesome and gave us great suggestions for where to go in the area. Hotel has a secure parking lot in the back that's included in the room fee.

Avoid the whole area. Just because they have a decent looking lobby or nice cars outside means absolutely nothing when you get to your room. Black mold, weird smells ,no hot water ..... hate the place hope it's shut down.

If I could give “Shannon” at front desk a negative star rating, I would. Worst customer service attitude I’ve ever received and attitude is putting it lightly. Disgusting establishment and they ought to be ashamed of having someone with such a bad attitude working for them.

It's an ok place to stay, really chose it because of the price. Elevator was a bit sketchy and the hotel in general just seemed a little bit old and not as inviting; but it was clean and provided a comfortable bed to sleep in for the night.

Nice place for the money. Easy access to I 10 to get downtown and a bus stop just a block away which is good to take to some parts of town and not worry about finding a parking spot.

Horrible hotel & horrible service. Several cars were broke into and we came to the hotel letting them know we were afraid to go to our car in the night hoping they would understand and offer a refund due to lack of actual security they have and they declined unless our car was to actually be the one that got broke into or we were hurt by someone who was breaking into the cars. I would never recommend you stay here. What a joke of a non-refundable policy. I could see if it was us just wanting to not stay there, but for our safety to be at risk... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! HORRIBLE.... STAY AWAY.! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUEST. ONLY $$$

Very low water pressure and took forever to get hot. Couldn't watch TV: cable box wasn't working; was offered to change rooms, from 1st floor to 3rd floor. Secure, on-site parking is available free of charge. Not a terrible place but kinda pricey for what you're getting. Staff was very nice and friendly.

  • 1/5 Derrick G. 2 years ago on Google
This place is absolutely horrible. Had to change rooms 3 time over the course of two nights because nothing worked. There wasn't hot water for the first day and half the next day. One staff member working the front desk was as rude as they come and no help until you basically forced him to do his job. Other staff was really nice. Would not recommend!

I'm currently on my 1st night of 2 at this hotel. Location is great, about a 10 min drive to The French Quarter. It's pretty quiet and safe. Wifi is average a little up and down on my signal. The prices are pretty reasonable. The hotel in itself is not too bad. Needs some work in certain hallways. The first room that I was given, was a little confusing getting too. Some of the rooms are on the inside and some rooms are on the outside by the pool/hot tub. The room numbers are a little out of order. The pool and hot tubs water is dirty as I'm here in early April. Anyways, going back to the 1st room, I wasn't happy at all. The air conditioning was broken and the room was by the noise from the generators. Took some time to get another room. I waited for 1 hour for the maintenance person but he never showed. Haha

My pictures speak for themselves, but I'll say some more. Disgusting and unsafe property with a rude staff that has no concept of customer service. Room was full of dead roaches and gnarly stains. Hallways and room reeked of cigarette smoke even though it's supposedly a smoke-free property. Staff had no interest in being helpful or issuing a refund. Hotels.com refused a refund because I was only able to provide a picture of one cockroach (????.)

(Translated by Google) Very unfriendly and polite in the reception and service, the hotel is under construction, with many details in the lack of finishes and comfort! They advertise having parking and they don't! He never solved our problem with the parking lot, not having place and when complaining, threatening to call the police. If you do not love hospitality, do not do these businesses, it takes a lot of vocation of service, love and passion !! None of those who work here have it! I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews, however the hotel was pretty nice. Nice soft king size bed, Room was clean, staff was cool and down to Earth. Especially being that I only paid $58 for the night after a canceled flight. No complaints on my end. Wish I could've stayed longer but have a flight to catch back home. I was extremely comfortable in the bed.

This place is not what it shows in the pictures. The front desk looks good, but that's about it.lol our door had a huge gap, that someone could open with a butter knife. The safe didn't work and we barely had towels in our room. The lady at check out was helpful at all, she was rude.

  • 2/5 Erik J. 4 years ago on Google
Soon as I walked in the room, had to kill two large roaches. Nice size room. A better chair is needed. Hard plastic chair like one in a waiting room is what they have. Heat doesn't work in the room. Took a chance of catching pneumonia when I took a shower. Bottom line is this, you get what you pay for. Not much

Low-Budget - My Favorite hotel in New Orleans! I've never needed a hotel when I had $200+ extra in my pocket to afford a single night somewhere - so no high class hotels for me. This unsung gem of cheap hotels has always treated me the best. Cleaner & Friendlier than others - with HUGE rooms! & a creepy old elevator :) ... Honestly, I'd love! to give it five stars - but in Reviews fairness, I can't. While it is Not infact a roach motel - it is definitely a seedier-side "hookers & roaches" kinda of place. Which I've never found to be a problem, personally - but prevents 5 stars, in due kindness to others. However, if you're on a shoestring budget & need "somewhere, anywhere" - hands down recommend over ANY other Nola Hotel for the same price.

Freaking awful was lied to said the rooms were renovated walked in the room couldn't breathe from the wet moldy smell..when I told the front desk agent she replied oh the renovated rooms are on 4th floor I can't put u in them unless u book online I have copd and diabetic I spent $80 to sit in the lobby all night because I couldn't stay in the room and was refused a refund so I couldn't afford to go anywhere else because on top of the 80 they charge a 75$ deposit..
