A ROOM WITHOUT A REAL BED! We had a king size room booked with them as part of a blocked room reservation for my husband's reunion. When we arrived, we were told there were no more king rooms left and all they had was a sofa bed. Yes, that's correct...a sofa bed! I never knew such a thing existed! The room they gave us did not even have a real bed. The size of this sofa bed seemed to be a double. While they claim to have discounted it, that isn't what we reserved. I'm not sure that they even discounted it really, it's probably the cost to reserve that room (Yes, it's a lower rate than a king size room because there is no bed but it's not discounted...) I tried to look it up on their website what the rate of this room is and I was unable to locate it to even reserve it. Thankfully, we only had to stay one night! (It was one of the most uncomfortable "beds") All the desk clerk said was "Sorry take it up with marketing. There's nothing we can do about it they overbooked." After traveling from another state to this event, what choice did we have since the dinner was in a couple of hours. The dinner was also there so the food and catering was being hosted by the hotel. The food looked okay however it was lukewarm. The hot dishes like the meats and sides were not served at temperature that they should have been. There were several hundred people here for this reunion and many complained. Some others were also displaced into rooms such as we had and their food was not to temperature as well. It seemed like a decent hotel on the outside, but given our experience I would never go there again. Adding to that, the fact that the staff didn't seem to care or offer much resolution and just shrugged it off, I just cannot recommend it, so if you have another choice, go somewhere else!

Nice Hotel! We checked in through the app which was easy. Upon arrival we did't have to stop at the front desk since the app on the phone will unlock the door. To my surprise the room also had a little balcony. It was pretty busy since there was a party going on, and a wedding party here staying here. Pool was open. Masks aren't required by guests.

Will say my stay here was lackluster. Firstly the room smelled like armpit. Had my privacy tag on door and the maids barge in still. Three day stay and the access card given to me was already disable by the second day. The room has so much white noise In it I can’t hear my own thoughts. Pillows felt like bricks and worst of all these people are charging for breakfast never witnessed that before. Springhill doesn’t do that but Marriott does when Marriott owns them?

Starting with the pros: lovely interior and grounds; large, comfortable 4th floor room with sliders and balcony overlooking woods; service people (wait staff, housekeeping) and bartender Melody at onsite Irish restaurant was so friendly and professional! She suggested the pasta Primavera bc I’m vegetarian but it’s not on the menu. The chef who was so sweet came out to see how I liked it! Food was wonderful! Cons: made reservations through Bonvoy for a King and paid rate for concierge lounge and services includes 4th floor, windows that open, lounge, breakfast etc. At check-in was told rather rudely that I didn’t have concierge and I could buy breakfast for 29.95 in lobby. I showed them my reservation and another clerk, male, said I was right and there was an error in system. No apologize given, just handed a key to 4th floor which was an interior room looking over indoor pool, window didn’t open.. no way was I going to stay there. back to desk, got room changed.. went to concierge lounge… key didn’t work.. back to desk.. new clerk just as rude told me I didn’t have access to the concierge lounge..she finally gave in…. At concierge lounge nice attendant said there would be no breakfast in the am. bc they were short on staff but I could get breakfast downstairs which had more selections… in am just to be sure I went to front desk and the clerk was the rudest of them all.. .. stating loudly that I was not a concierge member…and I had to but breakfast…Then, I finally lost my patience and gave her a piece of my mind! after checking she said said loudly with an attitude for all to hear, “You’re not a concierge member but I guess you did pay for the concierge rate. That’s why” I told her how upset I was after 3 x of being treated like this and never once an apology. At check out Brianna asked how everything was and I shared my experience. She was at least nice to me snd said it must be the way I made the reservation. So of course it was my fault again…. even though it clearly stated on my reservation w higher rate, Concierge floor snd services. I am a long time Marriott member who uses Bonvoy…no I do not have enough stays to qualify me as a silver or gold member, but that does not mean I should be treated as an inferior Marriott guest.. I won’t be visiting Rock Ridge again bc of the treatment of the front desk staff.. it really surprised me given they are supposed to be in the hospitality business! and I never experienced anything like this at any other Marriott.

The rooms are nice and the shower has great pressure. This was the second time here and the first time was in the summer when the outdoor pool was open. We had a great time with my nephews (they live locally) in the pool and the pingpong tables. That trip, our room overlooked the pool and had a balcony. This trip, in November, was not as good. We again had a room overlooking the pool. The INDOOR pool so not really a window looking out. The indoor pool was freezing, both the room's air and the pool's water. The kids still had fun but all the adults were freezing. The pingpong, foozeball, and shuffleboard are all outside so closed for the winter with the outdoor pool.

We just went for a 2 night staycation over Presidents’ Day weekend and were disappointed to put it mildly. The hot tub was not working and that wasn’t disclosed prior. Indoor pool area was 🥶 and they kept saying they would have the temp turned up but never did. Brunch was overpriced at $24pp and the staff attitude was not what you would expect in hospitality. Overall left feeling underwhelmed, like we paid for half an experience and have no plans on ever returning.

This is a beautiful hotel, I love the catwalk setup over the man made lake… I visited this place to attend Keller Williams 2023 Agent Council Clinic… This was my first time experiencing this opportunity.. The Marriott Park Ridge a beautiful venue for any event…

    - shower curtain had black mold. I asked them to change it, and they did. Makes you wonder what else is unsanitary - blankets had dark dirt not visible until you turn off all the lights and have the tv light in the background. I didn’t even bother reporting this to the hotel because clearly this is an unsanitary place and only a public review will force them to clean up the entire hotel (please see pics of the dirt) - wi fi barely works Do with this info whatever you want.

Nicest staff!! Needed soy milk and the woman who runs the breakfast went out of her way to find what I needed. Also I left my phone in my room and the room service came running after me to return my phone. Very nice rooms, and very nice hotel don't listen to the "outdated" reviews it's not true it's modern and sleek

We booked a large block of rooms (over 70) for my daughter's wedding weekend at the end of November. We had a very pleasant experience and every staff member we dealt with was exceptional. Everyone from Melissa, the Director of Sales, to the Food Service Manager, Gary went above and beyond to help accommodate our size group and every one of our guests left feeling very satisfied with their stay. The hotel is a very nicely designed and maintained. The rooms were spacious and clean and modern. The food and drinks at the Pub and at the buffet breakfast were very good, as was the service. We will always use this hotel when we are staying in the area.

This hotel is a failed renovation. The rooms have popcorn ceilings. The rooms with balconies smell like cigg smoke. The bathrooms are dirty. Our bathroom vent looked like it has never been cleaned. The ac is very noise along with the frig. We had to make the ac higher because it was that noisy. My dog towels are nicer than the pool towels. This hotel is one where I am afraid to take my shoes off. Not sure who thinks this hotel is amazing! Are they staying at day rate hotels??? Oh and the pool got a bad rating from the health dept which needed to be corrected over two months ago and still has not been. Look at my picture of the rust on the radiator and structure over the pool. It’s horrifying that they would allow gets near something like that.

Maureen is a god send!!! She is not just an employee at the Marriott, she is someone who goes above and beyond to ensure guest are accommodated. When I was in need she was there making sure I make it to the hotel safely!!! We need more people like Maureen in this world! I would definitely come back just to be blessed by Maureen’s hospitality!

I’ve been staying here for years, staff is awesome, rooms really need to be updated and rugs changed. The breakfast policy is ridiculous, if you are a 5 star platinum member and staying on the 4th floor they want you to eat breakfast in their little concierge room for VIP’s. Every time I have eaten there they are always out of something and hardly have anything to choose from.I wanted oatmeal and was told I had to go downstairs to the dining room to get it and bring it back up, seriously. Let people eat in either place makes more sense.

As we prepare for another conference, it was a great Flow of the different ballrooms and breakout rooms that allow for many possibilities. This hotel has a resort feel in its look and how you can see how the grounds are laid out. For an option in Bergen County that keeps you near the city but escapes some of the hustle then the Marriott Park Ridge will be a great choice for you.

Great example of an upper end Marriott. Clean rooms, good internet, breakfast area was clean and delicious. Checked out the bar and the Old Fashion barely passable, but the attempt was made - full credit. Excellent Marriott to stay.

This hotel was a kind of stepping stone to go to the ultimate wedding location in Rockleigh. Nice services. The Sangeet function was held in the hotels ball room which had sufficient amenities for the type of dance and dinner.

We attended a party there. Beautiful hotel, but the restrooms were too far from the party room. You had to walk past an outdoor foyer, a lounge and a bar to get to the restrooms.

The Marriott Park Ridge in NJ is a top-notch hotel that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the lobby was clean and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable with all the amenities one would expect from a Marriott hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with plenty of towels and toiletries. The hotel's location is also great, with easy access to major highways and nearby restaurants. The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars is because the breakfast was not included in the room rate, which was disappointing. Overall, I highly recommend the Marriott Park Ridge for anyone visiting the area.

I was here for a family event which was held in one of the ballrooms. I did not stay in the hotel. Service was great. Food was good. The venue was very nice and the surrounding woods were very peaceful. The location is a little odd though, in a corporate area. Although nothing was in walking distance from the hotel, there is a huge, New shopping complex with a lot of great stores only 5 minutes away (driving).

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because it was not the worst place I have stayed. Room was somewhat clean and decent enough to spend the night. However the front desk needs help. We were greeted with "she will help you. " with in seconds a group of teen girls jumped in front of us and the other employee took us hesitantly. She lacked any hospitality training. When I asked if there was room service I was bluntly told "no" without additional information regarding the hotel, the restaurant or the bar on-site. As we entered the room, we immediately went to set up the pull out couch for our 10 year old son. Unfortunately there weren't any sheets or blankets available. I called the front desk and was told no problem, someone will be up shortly. No one showed up so my son slept with us. We also didn't have any bottled water! There were clear signs posted of quiet time at 10pm yet they allowed a bunch of preteen girls cause a ton of noise until almost midnight. After a terrible night sleep, we go to check out. The front desk clerk greeted us, put us to the side and checked in someone behind us and gave her 2 bottles of water. When she finally helped us, I was told you have a zero balance & have a nice day. I was not asked if I enjoyed our stay nor about the breakfast. Not even asked if I wanted a copy of the receipt! Looks like I will have to find another place to stay when visiting my family. Total disappointment.

It’s clean and quiet. They do not have USB ports for charging your phone. The TV is situated on the right side of the room which is a painful angle for your neck. Seems like they tried to cram too much into the room. They could have taken out the couch, the room is a bit small for it, and set up the dresser and TV in that area. This way you’re not straining your neck to watch TV. The refrigerator is also next to the couch, like an end table. It’s a very odd place for it. Every single hotel I’ve been at over the last year includes water bottles, especially for the coffee machine, they do not. There is a broken window in one of the hallways too. Check in was pretty easy. They have a restaurant but I haven’t seen it open yet since I’ve been here. They serve breakfast, I think that’s separate from the restaurant, but seems a little pricey to me considering it’s not cheap to stay here. It’s not close to really anything. It’s not a bad place but I’d expect a few more amenities for the price that cheaper places offer. It has some pretty scenery.

I've been to this hotel multiple times now and always enjoy my stay. Rooms are very clean and updated, beds are very comfortable and the service is always great. The pub connected is not too bad for a quick bite and a drink as well.

2.5 - 3 stars I had rented 3 rooms for my family. We did not use the pool or gym so I cannot comment on those areas. The grounds and location are beautiful. The customer service appeared to be short and borderline rude...not the usual customer service you would expect from hospitality industry even from a 3 star hotel which this one is rated. The rooms were nicely decorated but not the cleanest. The shower doors still had soap drips and water spots all the corners need to be cleaned. The vents were filled with dust. The beds were lumpy. No complimentary water, coffee/tea or breakfast and free standard breakfast ONLY for Titanium Marriott members. No access to computers unless you swipe a credit card.

Beautiful property. Inside seemed to be well taken care of. We came for an event and had a great time. A few downsides were that the bathrooms were on the other side of the hotel from where the event room was. On my walk I noticed they served a buffet breakfast for $24 per person. That’s insanely high.

As a parent you go above and beyond for your children. As a gift for my daughter's 8th birthday I wanted to surprise her with a weekend getaway at a luxurious hotel with a pool. This location in particular was suggested by my sister who previously attended a banquet that was held at this hotel. My check in experience was uneasy due to a funding issue. The young lady at the desk advised me that the security deposit would only be accepted my card not cash. My experience at other hotels were different. The deposit was optional, card or cash. She didn't even try to see if any exceptions could be made. She gave a long stare between myself and the computer and sat my card and I.D on the counter. Once that situation was finally handled and we got to the room, it was ordinary. $546.00 must have been for the location of the hotel. (1) There were coffee beans and nacho chips on our floor under one of our beds from a previous stay. (2) On the patio half of the patio was flooded with water and a few cigarette buds so we could only stand on one side of the patio. (3) It was very humid in our room. The central air was not very central. There was only one vent that produced quality air when it wanted to dispite being at the lowest degree allowed which was 65 degrees. (4) Their smart TV operatored with delays. Luckily I brought my game system with us in order for us to enjoy the television at a normal speed. (5) I asked one of the house keepers if we needed to be cleared from the room in order for it to be serviced but she pretended not to speak English while telling me in English that she doesn't speak english...lol (6) This last statement over rules the entire stay and I'm saddened to even report this but not one of us were comfortable at this hotel. And yes I'm speaking on racism. My niece and daughter gave two Caucasian girls a compliment on their dresses and they were completely ignored. - I was in the pool with my two daughters. We were playing Marco polo in the pool and while we were laughing having fun...everyone was staring at us like we did something wrong. - We also decided to take a walk around the premises and the stares we experienced were so vulgar. It made us feel like we didn't belong there which is so disappointing bc I spent the same amount of money as they spent to enjoy a weekend there and we weren't even comfortable. In conclusion the total experience was extremely disappointing. Yes the location itself is beautiful. We love nature but the actual hotel, from the staff to the guests made us feel very unwelcomed. It's disgusting to even digest the thought that racism still exists after so many centuries. We really felt out of place the entire stay and I couldn't wait to go home. I can only be grateful that my 8 year old is too young to understand the environment she was surrounded by so she didn't suffer emotionally or mentally from this experience. On that note alone MISSON ACCOMPLISHED bc the stay was for her and her birthday. But as for myself and the my other children who are old enough to understand what happened it was a very life altering experience and I will never allow them to go through that again. Never. I wouldn't even rate this hotel a one star. And I definitely wouldn't have my wedding here, since that was a conversation prior to my experience from a visual standpoint.

We had our wedding block booked here and the hotel was amazing. Our sales rep Melissa was incredible - she always answered every email, was so helpful and responsive and scheduled everything perfectly. We had welcome drinks at the bar and Max was awesome at coordinating everything and helping me understand how much food to order. For brunch, Sylvia and Matt handled everything so well. At the front desk, they were so easy going to work with and were super helpful w/ our welcome bags. We are so grateful for all that everyone at the Park Ridge Marriott did!!! Thank you!!!

Very nice hotel in a nice area. 3 min drive away from a shopping outlet with Wegmans, etc. Service was great and easy check in and out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking. The venue is made and set up for wedding events so be aware it does get pretty noisy at times. Also try to get a room with a window that doesn't face the middle of the hotel as the lobby does get very noisy even at midnight. Would be 5 stars if people followed the quiet hours posted. Breakfast isn't complementary and when we had the buffet the "clean" plates were extremely greasy and still had leftover food crust caked on it (We literally had to go through the stack of plates to find semi clean plates). Eventually we had to ask the staff to give us clean plates which they were very nice and went to the back to clean it for us.

We stayed here for two nights for a wedding at a nearby venue (the wedding was NOT at the hotel). We had a very pleasant stay, some highlights: --The room was spacious and clean and nice. --We had dinner the first night at the restaurant in the hotel (Sean O'Casey's Irish Pub) and it was pretty good and fun. --There is a nice outdoor patio area with tables where the wedding guests all hung out together both nights. We brought our own drinks and food out there. --The pool is nice--it's a combined indoor/outdoor pool and you can swim between both areas without leaving the pool and there's a game area adjacent to it with some games to play. (We never had breakfast there). As wedding guests we had a great time, and from what I heard from the couple getting married, they had a pretty easy time coordinating their block of rooms here! I'd stay here again!

The king bed room was perfect for what I needed. It had a great layout and didn't feel cramped at all. The hotel was tucked away in a business park so it was nice and quiet and not too much traffic, but it was still easy to get to places. It's much bigger than it looks so the initial walk to the room from the front desk was a bit of a walk but there was parking closer to my wing so I could just take the stairs after that.

We were there for the wedding. Their banquet is perfect for the indoor wedding for the guests up to 500. Everything was perfect only the cocktail place was too tight. Probably that was a mistake from them to have a cocktail in the foyer for these many people. Rest everything was perfect.

Working with the Marriott Park Ridge from beginning to end was a breeze! Melissa Mazzella & Dominique Petruzzella we’re such a pleasure to work with. They were always so quick with responses to any questions we had. The shuttle service was so great and convenient for our guests! The front desk handed out our welcome bags with no issues. By far 15/10 for this hotel! We came back from our wedding into our room to a surprise of champagne, strawberries, and a beautiful card wishing us congratulations. We truly enjoyed our stay and so did our guests. Rooms are updated, clean, and the outside and indoor hangout spaces are great especially after we returned from the wedding we kept the party going and the hotel didn’t complain once!

My wife and I went to the restaurant located in the hotel and had a VERY pleasant experience! My wife has celiac and thus, has fairly severe dietary restrictions. The host that was there at the time, Kenny, was very understanding of her situation and confirmed with the kitchen that they were able to accommodate the substitutions that she would require. He was also very reassuring that none of my wife's food would come in contact with gluten during cooking/plating. We had a lovely time dining here and, just like Kenny told us, my wife didn't get sick! Thank you so much, Kenny!!

This was the best stay that I’ve ever had, the room service was spot on and the tv had more than 50 channels for my kids to watch. The gym was clean and so was the lobby. The pool was heated and was super nice to take a seat and relax. The best part about this hotel is that there is a shopping outlet 3 minutes away. Best place to stay in Westwood New Jersey. I highly recommend!!!

My husband and I stayed here overnight for a wedding and had a wonderful experience. Kathi Golick not only made our reservation but provided us with an amazing check in and check out experience. Rooms were very quiet, clean, spacious and most importantly the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! I would definitely love to come back in the summertime for a staycation, they have both an indoor and outdoor pool and quite a few nice restaurants in the area. We didn't get to check it out this trip, but they also have an Irish pub on the premises as well. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

We had a great experience during our stay. Big shout out to our Concierge, Matt Weinrib! My wife left her pillow in our room and Matt found and held it for me. Absolute life saver, as I nearly lost an eye when I came home without it. Thanks again Matt!
