I
was
referred
to
Emergency
by
a
local
GP
due
to
severe
swelling
in
my
throat.
I
could
still
breathe
alright
but
swallowing
was
extremely
painful
and
I
had
tonsillitis.
The
staff
were
all
very
friendly
and
helpful,
getting
my
details
promptly
and
providing
painkillers
which
helped
hugely.
Despite
two
ambulances
having
just
come
in
and
a
dozen
or
more
other
people
waiting,
they
were
quick
to
have
me
seen.
The
initial
doctor
who
saw
me
was
wonderful,
taking
very
detailed
notes
and
explaining
everything
clearly.
He
was
with
me
through
the
whole
experience,
prepping
a
blood
test
for
my
CT
scan,
keeping
me
up
to
date,
and
ultimately
writing
up
the
discharge
referral
once
I'd
had
a
minor
procedure
performed.
Thank
you
very
much,
Karanjot!
Another
special
mention
goes
to
the
lady
(I'm
afraid
I
forgot
her
name)
who
helps
with
the
CT
scan.
She
is
an
angel.
I
felt
so
very
safe
and
well
cared
for,
and
she
genuinely
cared
about
me
as
a
person.
A
beautifully
warm
and
loving
soul.
The
whole
event
had
me
there
from
around
11
am
until
6
pm
but
I
never
felt
like
I
was
waiting
too
long
at
any
one
time.
The
staff
in
the
waiting
room
were
always
helpful,
and
I
especially
enjoyed
seeing
the
way
they
cared
for
any
sick
children
who
came
in,
giving
them
their
full
joyful
energy
to
keep
them
calm
and
their
choice
of
coloured
zooper
dooper
ice
lolly
as
a
treat.
The
chairs
are
comfortable
and
there's
a
couple
of
sweet
recliners
in
one
corner
which
made
my
day.
My
overall
experience
was
positive
and
I
am
very
grateful
for
all
the
staff
working
in
Emergency
at
Bathurst
Base
Hospital.
