I have been training and Gracie Barra Hornsby for a bit over a year now. When I was first invited to come I imagined gym full of big brutish guys throwing each other around. I couldn't have been more wrong. There are kids classes and women's only classes and your average practitioner it's just your average person. People from all walks of life train at Gracie Barra Hornsby and Marcio and the other coaches treat everyone with respect, patience and value them all as equals. From competitions to your everyday training sessions there is a positive and encouraging atmosphere everytime you step through the door. I have never encountered a training environment it feels so much like a family.

Gracie Barra Hornsby has become my home away from home. Whenever I can get the chance to be on the mats with such a talented team of instructors, lead my Professor Marcio and Coach Murilo, I have a fantastic time. I feel it is a great workout both for your body and your mind. I am possibly the oldest student at GBH and my son is the youngest in the adult classes, but it caters perfectly to us and all the students in between. I highly recommend joining and being part of such a great group of people.

Gracie Barra Hornsby is a friendly family to get us together. Jiu Jitsu is a great and practical sports to make us self-confident. We can develop ourselves mentally and physically. Professor Marcio and professional instructors are always training us hard so that we can be better and better. Appraciate for that.
