Definitely not 5 star. Still only hotel left for Sydney New Year's Eve with rooms. Now I know why. No one wants to stay there. Took staff 35 minutes to answer the phone. Then girl who answered could not do her job and was unable to take booking because she knew nothing. She said her manager does the bookings and to wait till tomorrow when the rooms might all be booked out. I had to ring because the website is also full of mistakes. It says fully refundable if cancelled by October 1 and then down at bottom under cancellation policy it says that it is non refundable. It says the deposit is non refundable but it is not a deposit, it is the full price. So not sure why they do not know the meaning of this word. So one minute it is refundable, the next it is not, they take 35 minutes to answer a phone and the person who answers their phone in reservations is unable to do her job and take a reservation. Wow!!!! Obviously not the place to be.

Without a doubt, one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. We were there for two nights. On the first night, we got locked out of the room just after midnight as the "battery had died in the door" and were told that it would be 5-10 minutes. 45 minutes later we asked what was going on and were informed by the front desk that it had happened the night before and would be another 5 to 10 minutes. We kept getting the same answer until about 2 AM when we spoke with a manager who told us it had never happened before and offered us another room and that they would retrieve our bags for us and drop them off. I called down the next morning to get out bags and we were told that the front desk didn't know what we were talking about and it took them another 2 hours to get out bags and items to us. After our room had been cleaned, we found blood stains and a brown mark on the sheets. When I told the reception this, they said after all that had happened, they would wave our 1 drink from the minibar. We also had a $290 hold put on my credit card, which they still have not refunded 5 days later despite being told that it would be refunded that day. Now nobody will answer the phone to assist, just continuous ringing and nobody is answering, except for one time when the phone was picked up and hung up straight away. We were treated poorly by both staff and management who came across as hostile and rude towards us when we were trying to get into our own room. There was no offer of assistance or compensation.

Our stay at this location was exceptional in every way. From the moment we entered the foyer, the atmosphere and scent were invigorating. Our Executive Sydney Harbour King room was spacious and comfortable, with panoramic views of the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House. We were treated to stunning sunrise views and even enjoyed the Vivid Sydney drone show. The amenities and facilities were extensive and impressive. The fully equipped gym and serene heated indoor pool with attached spa were perfect for relaxation. The his and her sauna rooms were also a nice touch. We even found a shared outdoor tanning area near the exclusive day spa. The all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast at the Altitude Restaurant was delectable, with a fine range of food and beverages to satisfy even the most sophisticated palates. The customer service was excellent, making every bite a heavenly experience. We will definitely be returning to this location, and will remember to bring a Google Chrome for our subscriptions. Brunch and dinner are sure to be amazing, and we can't wait to experience it all again.

The staff here are so horrendously rude, I don't know why I keep coming back. This will be my last trip. The initial gentleman who checked me in was wonderful, and the concierge team are great, but every other encounter with staff is painful. Across reception, the restaurant, the rooftop bar/cocktail lounge. No one knows what they are doing, the simplest of tasks crescendo into a mammoth ask and you are treated poorly. This is not a 5-star hotel. I imagine other 5-star hotels try this thing where they actually value guests, and I don't know, actually care about the quality of their stay. Not here. My room was lovely and the facilities are fantastic, but it is not worth it. A very long steep walk up/down a hill to get anywhere on foot, and the room service menu is outrageously expensive plus a $12 tray charge. I will stay at the Four Seasons down the road moving forward.

Where to start.. not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are dated and worn. They’re living on borrowed time with their room rates. Do not pay $800 per night and expect a premium experience, you won’t get it. Everything is an effort in this place and takes far too long to execute. Check in took 15 mins, still not sure why. The restaurant where breakfast is served, caters for roughly half of one floors patrons of this large hotel so you’ll just have to wait until the staff notice that there is in fact, half a dozen empty tables that the long line could be seated at. The vibe is off. Almost as if there’s something suss about the culture of the place. We were told over the phone that they couldn’t accept our electronic credit cards (on our mobile device) as management wasn’t in? And particularly not as we are heading into Christmas? I have no idea what that means but choose your own adventure I guess.

Just want to say a big thank you to Shangri-la. For the past three years when ever I needed a pamper I was coming in with my family and friends to their generous high tea. Their hospitality has always been amazing and most of all their high tea serving sizes are huge and very generous. Unlimited drinks offer is also very generous!! The hotel stay is just spectacular with the best views possible ❤️❤️❤️

A beautiful location, the decor is amazing and the food is great. Staff sound kind and work very hard as it seems. I would recommend it for holidays and luxury retreats or staying with a family who enjoys this sort of hotel!! The food is very lovely and very enjoyable. It is costly and for a good reason. Rooms are big, beds are fine, room service is great and the staff are very experienced.

This is my second time staying at the Shangri-La in Sydney, both times I stayed for a week. 2 stars for the great location, although it’s at the top of a hill it has good proximity to the city and easy to get in/out. The breakfast spread is nice and on the top level of the hotel with great views. The executive rooms are spacious. However, this is not a 5 star hotel. The valet staff do not assist with bags or opening doors. If you order food from a 3rd party, your food will be left on the ground in front of the hotel because of “sanitation procedures”. The reception staff can be very rude and answer questions with an attitude, despite being pleasant to them. Room cleanliness is lacking. My laundry was given back with stains on my linen shirt. I could go on. Won’t be staying again and do not recommend.

From the moment we entered this hotel to the time we left we were treated nothing but royalty. Our room was accidentally taken by someone else while we were checking in and they upgraded our room on the spot ! From level 10 to level 24 ! Not only did we have the best views ever but they were so upset that this happened that they send up a fruit bowl food and snacks for the boys. The bathroom was amazing and the beds to die for !!!! Didn't get a chance to eat at altitude but definitely will be going back to try it out. Overall you get what you pay for and this experience was beyond my wildest dreams. Definitely will be going back for another special occasion.

I stayed 2 nights and booked a deluxe harbour bridge room. At check in another guest was quite agitated and became quite vocal, when it was finally my turn to check in the agent apologised profusely for the other guest and upgraded me to a higher floor and included complimentary champagne and chocolates. The rooms are very spacious and the amenities are top notch. The view is the draw card. Everything about this stay was amazing and I can’t wait to come back.

I am currently staying at the hotel with my family. Have to say - very disappointed since arrival. The foyer needs a serious update - those plastic flowers at the entry are absolutely tacky and not what I would expect as part of a five star hotel decor. Already nervous on what we are in for - we checked in and got told that a room upgrade was arranged and that we had a view of the harbour. A little relieved, we got upstairs and found that our view was to overlook the freeway - no views of the harbour bridge or opera house. I cannot remember when was the last time I stayed at a hotel where no complimentary bottled water was provided. We had to room service for bottled water. The toiletries - shampoo and conditioner were of bad quality - we had to go to a convenience store to buy supplies. Not to mention old shower screens, tapware and low water pressure. Carpets need to be updated and room were very dark and dim at night. There is even a plastic bag tied to the smoke detector in my hotel room. We tried to go to the rooftop restaurant last night and the staff member didn’t even acknowledge us and were turned away because we were with an underage child, which I fully understand but no options or advice were given to return during the day time to enjoy the harbour view. Second day in, I wished we had stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel which I stayed at around two weeks ago - absolutely amazing building and room top bar.

Stayed for the location, but it’s so much better than just that with a wonderful view from the restaurant (and the room), staff, fitness center, and room. Spacious rooms, well done bathroom, a huge gym, decent looking pool, spa, and lots of common areas. Getting to the hotel is a bit of an uphill walk but you can avoid the stairs by approaching from the left side and it’s just a few blocks to the waterfront, ferry and tram. Staying before and after another trip, the staff was beyond accommodating to hold a bag, get me into a room early and just welcoming all around. Zero issues though I did prefer room service over the restaurant and clearly a big fan.

Excellent experience with super friendly staff. Be prepared for a line up for breakfast just because they are busy. Fantastic location as well. The cleaning crew tried to get out of cleaning on one day by leaving a note under the door at 9am saying they couldn’t clean because of the ‘do not disturb’ light. Luckily we were just stepping out of the room and caught them before they vanished. In my experience at other high end hotels the cleaning staff will come back later in the day to check if room is available to clean and only give up in the afternoon. The bar/restaurant on the top floor has great views. Highly recommend for a stay.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay. The staff were very professional and I was looked after so well. My rooms was a harbour view room and it was beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable beds. The room was be very clean and the bathroom was very spacious as well with a large bath. The food was amazing. Slightly expensive, however, it was worth every cent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Sydney, with beautiful views of the harbour and friendly staff, what more could you ask for.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at shangri-la with a 3 night stay that was great. From the check-in to the check-out, the service was excellent. Room was clean, spacious and with the best views. Bathroom was clean with a nice tub and amazing products. We were surprised to find a bottle of bubbles and chocolates in our room, what a nice touch. We were part of the horizon club and didn’t disappoint. Service and food variety were outstanding, Jerry and the team looked after us every moment of the day. Location was great so we walked to Circular Quay and Barangaroo. There are many bars and restaurants around to explore.

Most 5 star hotels do not deliver what they promise these days. To me Shangri-La is always delivering value for money. The rooms are spacious, very neat and clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is amazing. Pool and gym are good and clean. Bar is very nice at nights. For me the hotel to go if I want to have a proper rest during holidays.

Absolutely fabulous stay. It was a night away for a special occasion. Unbelievable attentiveness from the concierge when we arrived. Smooth check in, even a complintary bottle of champagne, after finding it was our anniversary. Spotless room, incredible view of Harbour Bridge and Opera house. Bed was extremely comfy. Bathroom was so roomy with a huge bath and decent shower. Heaps of hot water too. Walking distance to The Rocks, Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Had breakfast at the Blue bar@36 again wonderful views, food was typical breakfast. Even at check out everyone was Extremly helpful and genuinely pleasant. We will be back. Don't hesitate to stay there.

Paid 450.00 a night for 5 nights. Paid for a view of something other than the highway. Room was highway level. Could hear nothing but traffic. Talked with the concierge about moving rooms and was told if I wanted to change rooms was going to cost an additional $60.00 per night. Explained that my colleagues who all booked the same type of room had rooms with views of the Opera House on the upper levels of the building. Was told too bad. I’m disappointed because I was told this was one of the best hotels in Sydney. It’s not worth the money, next time I’ll go the Four Seasons or Intercontinental.

Great stay overall, wonderful location, well appointed rooms, incredible views from the bar and dining areas. Stand out was Adrian the concierge, incredible. We were headed to the airport but I wanted to order room service delivered to go to the bar, I was turned down by another chap at the property but I spoke with Adrian in the lobby and he said it would be there at 12:45 (placing the order at 12:15). Not only was it there at 12:45 to the minute but Adrian accompanied the delivery person to ensure everything was perfect. Many higher end establishments fail to deliver in the basics but Adrian and the staff at this property get it right

The staff were all lovely and caring and helpful. The room was beautiful. I recommend getting the suite which gives access to the Horizon Club - for a family of 4 it is cost effective as breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks/drinks are included. Some of the lights didn't work, and the clock radio/sound system didn't work either. Maybe have the housekeeping staff check lights and appliances and remove any that don't work.

It was a tick off my bucket list. Incredible hotel with an incredible view. The room was huge, beautiful and the bathroom 😘 I could sit at the window sill all day looking out the incredible view. For the price I paid, the satisfaction received was 10-fold. It is also conveniently located with easy access to the Harbor Bridge, Circular Quay and loads of F&B.

Worst customer experience ever from any hotel chain i have ever stayed at. Booked a weekend away for our anniversary, paid extra to include a spa treatment. Got charged again for said treatment. Complained, was told it would get fixed, still showing on invoice at time of checkout. Paid for the room and security deposit on CC upfront. 5 days after checkout, original amount still blocked on the card, and then i get charged for the room again. Card gets overdrawn when they charged for the room again, now im up for a penalties for the overdrawn amount. Spoke to customer service, can't help. Keep getting told it would appear on my account in 8-10 business days. Happy to take a guests money on the spot, multiple times for the same thing, but when it comes to issuing a refund, you have to wait 2 weeks.

It was a nice experience & excellent services. 2 main concerns were parking charges from the guests who are staying in the hotel. After spending so much for a room, $ 105 parking charges were collected. Also if you have stopped using plastic bottles, you should keep glass bottles in the room for drinking water without asking for it. A glass has been kept in the washroom near the toilet for the same which is not at all acceptable. Apart from these 2 concerns everything was perfect.

A stay to remember! My first trip to Australia was made complete by my incredible stay at the Shangri-La in Sydney. The view both from our room as well as all the restaurants & bars was absolutely out of this world, and blew away all of my expectations. Absolutely top tier experience. The food and drinks were of course first class and some of the best food I've had. We may have ordered a few bottles of incredible bubbly to our room as well and just truly had the best stay here. The staff were all incredible and made this trip extra special.

Stayed here on a few occasions and the hospitality was always pleasant. The staff are polite and always accomodating. The rooms are clean and well kept daily. The location is ideal for events at at the rocks. I’d say it’s a fair decent and accent for those who are less mobile, but it’s manageable. The views are amazing. Even from the restaurant upstairs if you don’t get a room with a decent view.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The service was excellent. We only booked the standard room but we were upgraded to a corner room on the 27th floor which had views at 3 different directions. The opera house view was superb but the other views great as well. It was my wife's birthday and they surprised us with a birthday card and an excellent piece of birthday cake. The room itself was lovely but also somewhat dated. The furnishing were very comfortable but quick dark. We had an extra sitting room with a hide a bed couch in it but the couch itself was quite tired and also threadbare. The carpets in the common areas around the elevators needed to be replaced. The pool and jacuzzi area was also in need of refurbishment. Overall this is a lovely hotel with amazing views and location. However it really is in need of a make over if it wants to retain its 5 star status.

Hotel from a Once World Renowned Chain, Now, using that "Name Brand" to justify huge expensive prices as to being Best, when they have let their services lapse in a number of areas. And should be charging lesser. Room have most features per web site. No power points located near the beds, they're on the desk that's over 6ft away. A smallish Bar Fridge is located behind a cabinet door. Able to house some beverages and other items. Bed was nice and a large -3 choices for the different pillows offered. Nice touch to increase customer comfort. If you need replacement for your complimentary water, you need to advise staff to this, even as they clean an make up your rooms daily. Hotel can get very busy and not increase the Staff numbers at alleviate the long waiting period required when 150+ guest come in ( eg Sydney Running/ Marathon, Conventions, Cruise ship Arrival and Departure Routines) .

We have booked for the weekend away from Victoria. Had a very beautiful appointed room, amazing view. Room is very large and clean according to standard of 5 stars rate hotel. Staffs are friendly and professional. Bed is super comfortable. We look forward to another again.

I booked this for my parents who had a lovely stay. They got upgraded to a room with opera house views which was very special for them. The room was clean, well maintained and the beds very comfortable. All staff was very nice, happy and helpful. The location was perfect as they could walk to the rocks, opera house and wynyard. Thank you for giving them a lovely first 2 days in Australia

My husband booked 2 rooms three weeks ago as a surprise for my daughter’s birthday. When I contacted the hotel to confirm the booking today for our stay they lost our booking! My husband spent half an hour to get our reservation. We checked in at 3:30pm, the guy in reception said we can’t check in the other room because we put the room under our daughter’s name. Even though the reference was under my husband’s name? So all the plan of putting Happy Birthday banner couldn’t be possible! Then when my daughter checked-in she was informed since it’s under my husband’s credit card my husband had to be the one checking-in? They finally gave her room key and when she entered the room it was occupied! 😨 So disappointed! Tried to call reception six times no answer!

Our recent stay was a magnificent experience. All staff were friendly, professional and bent over backwards to ensure we felt like we were the most important people in the hotel. The spa was the highlight of our stay and we would highly recommend a couples massage to relax and unwind together. Loved every moment

Loved, loved staying here. Got a deal on Luxury Escapes. Location at the Rocks is a 5 minute walk from Cicular Quay. We were two ladies slightly older than middle age and walked with medium size suitcases from train station - easiest way straight from George St into Essex St then Cumberland (slight hill). View from room exceptional -Harbour Bridge and Opera House (every morn drew back curtain to see a different cruise ship!). Attentiveness of housekeeping extremely good, as was all staff. Altitude restaurant on floor 36 worth the money - book ahead to get window seat.

Shangri-La Sydney the best Clean and friendly staff. The best views out over the circular quay from our hotel room. Shopping area, restaurants Harbor bridge and the Opera house just 10 mins walk away from the hotel. Staff were helpful efficient and friendly. Checking in and out only took minutes. Our checking in time was 3pm, we got there at 10am and our room was ready on both occasions. The concierge/porters were very friendly and helpful.. Thank you.

Fast friendly service. We arrived at 10pm on a Tuesday and we were in the room in under 5 minutes. Room had well stocked mini-bar and nespresso machine so we did not need to go out. We we on the 35th floor with a great view and the hotel was quiet so we slept good. Lot of cafes near by and it was easy to get a taxi when we left. Great experience and I would stay here again!

If views and location is what you are looking for then this hotel is perfect for you. However, if you have any issues, do not expect any Customer Service or assistance. The nicest people working there are the Concierge and Cleaners. The Pool is also not as glamourous as the photos and certainly not large at all for a hotel with so many rooms. But I can highly recommend the Harbour views. Absolutely stunning. Walking distance to The Rocks and the Ferry's. I would also not bother adding the breakfast. Menu ordered items came out cold and many of the buffet foods were stale from being under lights. There are better places to eat in walking distance.

Stayed with family for a short holiday. Pluses: comfy bed and pillows, great location, short walk to circular quays, the harbour bridge and opera house views were breathtaking form the room. Room was clean but the hotel is run down and it becomes more obvious when you have a look at the furniture. The reception people were alway rushed when you wanted to ask them questions. The restaurant (Altitude) is super expensive. You pay for the view and not the food. The quality of the breakfast we had was average but the staff were very attentive. Another annoying thing is when you purchase a movie on the hotel TV in your room, it’s only valid for the day and if you watch the same movie the next day you will be charged the same fee twice !!!!!! We had to argue at the reception that this was unfair and the fee was waived There is certainly room for improvement

We had 6 fabulous nights here. Great location, best view of the harbor and bridge. Great service. The horizon club lounge is probably the best hotel club lounge we have been to. The only complaint is the hotel towels are just ok. For such a great hotel the towels should be very plush.

Shanghai La Sydney offers a comfortable stay with its cozy beds and spacious rooms. The fresh and clean linen adds to the pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, although the reception might not be knowledgeable about nearby coffee shops. It would be great if the hotel could provide early morning coffee for the convenience of guests. Overall, it is a great place to stay in Sydney.

Thanks for the extra care taken to make our staycation wonderful! The staff did what they could to make sure that everything was in order. They made my birthday and our wedding anniversary weekend one to remember. Horizon Club Lounge staff were kind and accommodating (huge kudos to Jerry, my daughter enjoyed going to Horizon Club Lounge specially after you took the time to show her the best places to pose for photos with a view and the Opera House napkin fold that you taught her to create). The range of things as part of the Horizons Club were great! Opting to go for a Horizon Club suite was well worth it. We stayed at the Horizon Club Spa Suite. The hydrotherapy spa bath was quite relaxing.

Great rooms, view and service. Though the internal phone system goes back to a global bookings line just to call down to the front desk (long hold times) also empty mini bar of course due to covid 🙄

The staff at Shangri-La were all friendly and helpful, and of course the view from my room was spectacular. Overall I really enjoyed my stay! Will definitely book a room here again in the future. I wanted to give five starts but, unfortunately, there were two issues with my room. When I arrived the inside of the windows were dirty, but the concierge was prompt at arranging for them to be cleaned and after that they were spotless. There was also a strange wet patch on the carpet in the corner of my room. Regardless of this, I still had a pleasant and comfortable stay. When I let the team know about the wet patch they were quickly on the case with their maintenance team. Thus, I am 100% confident that any future guest will enjoy a five star stay. Definitely a worthwhile and a must have experience.

Want to be made out as a 2nd class citizen? Then book via Expedia and you'll get that experience. You can't fault the location, cleanliness, service from the bellboys including Phil and team and those views of the harbor. My wife and I had to cut our trip short by a day, I mentioned that at check-in and the lady basically said you booked via expedia so we can't do anything (her tone struck a nerve with me). I wasn't expecting a refund for that day as it was on us that we needed to leave early. Expedia tried for us when I was changing the flights and they said they couldn't do much. On checkout another staff member said the same thing when they realised we were checking out earlier - I told them that I know and it was made very clear to us on the day we arrived. At this point I thought you can do something, you just don't want to. We were told due to covid that our room would be cleaned only by request which is fair enough. I called a few days in, came back to my room and nothing was done. I received a call later saying they forgot and they came by and cleaned my room. From then on everyday we received a door knock from the cleaning stuff if we required room service. Now, it made me question is it for covid reasons we don't have our room made on a daily basis or is it because I didn't book directly through the hotel website? Also I came back to my door not being fully closed after our room was made.

Slighted dated hotel right next to circular quay. If you managed to get a good room you get a full 5 star magnificent view of both the harbour bridge and opera house. Good service and nice and quiet during weekdays.

Nice and clean, although "city view" room was definitely not that.. added on breakfast and will definitely skip it next time ($10 breakfast with a $70 view). Will stay again, but will definitely opt for opera views next time.

Great service and staff were very helpful and friendly. I booked an opera view room which they delivered that. In term of the location, the hill was quite deep which can be difficult if you walk. Inside of the hotel room, it’s like the 1970s style which they need a good renovation in the future.

Our room was fabulous - wish I had picked an Opera house view but that was my fault - bed was comfy, bathroom was well equipped. staff were friendly and helpful. Location is wonderful - close to everything. Only issue was the hill for an 88 y.o lady. Taxi worked thou.

It was very difficult to find fault with this hotel. From the moment we drove up to Valet parking, each and every individual staff member treated us as a special guest. Even the staff members we saw in the elevators! The room view was spectacular and clean! The bathroom spotless. We had high tea on the Horizon level and breakfast the next day which was such a blissful treat that I didn't want our stay to end. We reluctantly checked-out and vowed to return.

Had the most amazing experience at the Shangri-La. Geoffrey upgraded us for free to a Sydney Harbour king room. The view was amazing. The leisure centre was nice and quiet. Had a couple of yummy drinks in the Altitude restaurant. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend staying here!

Valet parking was excellent, both arriving and departing. Guest check in was welcoming and professional. Check-out was frustrating and very disappointing. Food at Altitude was below par, bland and appeared to be under heat lamps 20 minutes before service. Breakfast on Saturday was a similar standard as dinner on Friday night. However, breakfast on Sunday was wonderful. Must have been a different crew, they cooked a tasty, fresh and memorable breakfast. Staff on all occasions were attentive, wonderful and professional. Our room was spacious, bed was extremely comfortable and room service was quick and courteous. While the points above did upset, the overall experience was wonderful.

My recent stay at the magnificent Shangri-La hotel in Sydney was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I entered my room, I was captivated by the mesmerizing views of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The sight was truly awe-inspiring and made my stay unforgettable. The comfort provided by the hotel's plush mattress and pillows ensured that I had an exceptional night's sleep. The attention to detail in creating a restful atmosphere was evident, and I woke up refreshed and rejuvenated each morning. The access to the Horizon Club was a delightful bonus. The breakfast buffet, offering an array of delectable options, provided the perfect start to my day. The complimentary canapés and drinks served from 6pm to 8pm were a delightful treat, allowing me to unwind while enjoying the spectacular sunset over the harbor. The service at Shangri-La was impeccable. The staff consistently went above and beyond to cater to my needs and ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. The spa and sauna facilities were top-notch, providing a haven of relaxation and tranquility. Without a doubt, I would choose Shangri-La for future visits to Sydney. The combination of stunning views, luxurious amenities, exceptional service, and access to the Horizon Club made my stay truly exceptional. If you're seeking a haven of luxury and breathtaking vistas, Shangri-La is the perfect choice.

We had a wonderful experience. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. The staff were kind and helpful. Pool and gym were good and clean. They went beyond to make our stay comfortable and accommodated all our requests. I will stay with them again if I get a chance.

We had a wonderful 3 nights in Sydney, a way of introducing our young kids to air travel again after laying low in the worst of the pandemic. After an initial issue with our booking we were exceptionally looked after and almost embarrassingly compensated. The staff were all great with the kids; especially Jerry in the Horizon club! Thanks, Jerry☺️. Location couldn't be better and the pool and gym facilities firmly established this place as somewhere we’ll return to. Horizon club is great value, will do this next time.

Definitely spoil yourself on a bridge view room if you can, easily the best location in Sydney to view the entirety of the harbour. We experienced all the hotel had to offer, minus the day spa, and every staff interaction was of the highest quality in service standards at each level. Horizon Club was well worth it and a great option if you can't secure a harbour room, as you'll get the see it during breakfast, afternoon tea, or one of the drinks and canapes sessions. Rooms were made over in 2015 but their brand of elegance may not be for everyone so check plenty of photos first.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely stunning and we had the most amazing view. We had cocktails at the top floor bar which were delicious and had the most amazing view of the harbour and city. The only suggestion for improvements is the decor of the bar could do to be updated slightly. I highly recommend a visit for both visitors or someone looking for a nice staycation.

Lovely room, amazing views and everyone has been really friendly and helpful. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the sink is running slow in my room and I had a few issues with the TV. I didn't ask them to fix anything, so this is no reflection on how promptly they would have responded or repaired. I would happily stay here again.

Nice hotel in an excellent position just by The Rocks area of Sydney where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Easy access to all of the main sights. The rooms are large for a city hotel and very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We had room only so didn’t experience the restaurant. Would recommend this hotel.

Friendly, attentive welcoming staff. Exceptional hotel areas and rooms. Breathtaking views from the room (bridge view room) and restaurant. Couldn't get a better location, walking to the rocks area, circular quay, bridge, city, everything. Absolutely loved our stay here, was a bit of a splurge for our budget but completely worth it.

Came for a stay for our anniversary and they were very accommodating. We received an upgrade and complimentary wine to aid with our celebration. The room was very nice and clean, and the room service was surprisingly pretty good too. The food we ordered was of quality and the breakfast bundle the morning was nice too. Service staff were friendly and helpful. We were mistakenly charged an additional $160 but it was sorted before checking out.

What a great place. The view of the Opera house and Harbour Bridge was stunning. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Everything was easy to get to, just be prepared for a climb up a steep hill with stairs, but that's what you get for staying at the Rocks. Highly recommend.

We had a birthday celebration on level 36 for high tea on Sunday. The view was breathtaking, both harbour bridge and Opera house are in vision. The tea and food are high quality and staff are nice. Our slot is from 12 - 2:30. This gives plenty of time to enjoy the dining and view. The price is fair compared to other high tea places around town. Highly recommended!

As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were upgraded to a room on the 33rd floor with wonderful views of the Opera House and Circular Quay. We were also given a bottle of wine, chocolate and a cake, compliments of the hotel. The room was spacious, bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a great variety of food available and the cooked breakfasts were delicious, again with awesome views. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The location is great for The Rocks, shopping in George and surrounding areas and Circular Quay for ferries and buses. We loved it and hope to be able to go back.
