Located inbetween Darling Square and Darling Harbour it was easy to find and was close to parking. Staff are friendly and provided good service. Food was pretty good. Drinks were good. I can't help to wonder if some of the dishes were bought "frozen" and just heated up there 🤣. Seating was good as we had plenty of space. Everything was nice and clean wherever you looked. Good job guys.

A very chilled and high energy establishment, lots of young adults in large groups enjoying their night out of food and drinks. The Japanese dishes were exactly what you would expect at a Sushi train, staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy to use tablet to order food. Will go back to try more.

I ordered the sushi taco as it was widely advertised and sounded amazing. The dish was $16 and consisted of about 80% rice with a very small portion of salmon. The salmon was mushy and didn’t taste fresh. I was very disappointed with it considering the hype online. The portion size does not reflect the price or ingredient cost.

My new found gems. Great vibe here with huge draft beer tank display at counter. Miss out their happy hour deals but I enjoy their food and drinks anyway. Delicious wings and tasty craft beers, service staff were friendly and attentive. I will come by next time for sure .

Was here during the OMU pop-up and the omurice was so delicious and authentic! Find them on Instagram @omu_sydney The selection of specialty beer was so intriguing, we ordered the beer paddle featuring Ramen (really tasted like the traditional ramen soup), Pocky (chocolatey and biscuit taste is ever-present), Soba (had a hint of soba in the background), and Seaweed (almost tasted just like normal beer, but you can taste a bit of dry seaweed if you know what to look for) beers. The salted caramel gyoza for dessert was so unique, but recommended to order with a group of friends - eating more than 1 by yourself can make you feel it was a bit too strong. The staff are very warm and friendly, and the interior decor is really impressive and adds to the experience!

The table is super sticky, had to ask for tissues to wipe it myself. Ordered prawn dumplings and soft shell crab. The skin of Prawn dumplings are crispy, and juicy inside. Soft shell crab is meaty but has smell, both sauces, personally are not best fit for this food. If you like those sauces, great! But they just don’t suit my taste buds.

Was quite disappointed with portion size, since Gyozas were served in small bite-sized pieces and for the price wasn't worth it. The eggplant tempura was delicious, but again wasn't full due to small portion sizes. The interior design is quite impressive with the colourful plates glued side-by-side is definitely eye-catching. Customer service was mediocre. A great location by the harbour, but food didn't fill me up as expected. Maybe next time ! Update - The omurice experience was amazing ! If it's still around and you're in the area, check it out :)

Had lunch here the other day. Nice clean food. Gyoza skin was crispy. The filling was a tad mushy - but flavours were nice.

It was my second time to try. Good place for a drink. They have really nice food and services. If you are the dumpling lover definitely need to come here and try it because they have a lot of options to choose from. Also, the beer is different from another beer stadium. If you haven't any idea which beer is your favourite than talking with their staffs. They are so kindly and happy to recommend with you. Hope you have a great time there and love that place.

When you see the bright neon BEER STADIUM signage you immediately have a picture in your mind about what this place may be - but it isn’t what you’re thinking - it’s a brew bar that serves Gyoza (so at least the latter is right!). The beers are OK, however the ones I wanted to try were “out” despite the lack of signage at the bar. So I settled for a 3rd choice somewhat slightly disappointed. Ambiance is good but the staff weren’t really into it.

Excellent beer, freshly brewed on site, and some decent finger food to go with it. Add happy hour specials to the mix, and you'll be coming back, again and again.

Had workday lunch with team here today. The Gyoza was crispy but not very flavourful. (I ordered mushroom and tried one cheeseburger gyoza) It had great varieties and some types are very creative.

The waiter was very friendly, the foods were good. But i wasnt sure do they have certain time limits. Because we did not ask for our bill and the waitress just gave us our bill and cleared up everything. We thought someone must be waiting but when we looked around, the restaurant still have quite a few empty tables inside on the ground floor and no one was waiting outside, and its was very early. Anyway we were planning to have dessert somewhere else, so we paid and left.

This fusion Japanese restaurant at darling harbour specialises in different types of gyozas and Japanese alcohol mainly beer. The interior is massive though, double height space with bare walls & ceilings and a grandstand seating arrangement that’s takes you up to a mezzanine with more seating and beer brewery is located on ground level in the main dining area. Food menu includes dumplings, share plates, bowls, vegan and desserts. Harajuku is a place where you come with groups of people and order food to share. The portions are quite small & expensive, so ordering a variety of dishes to share and enjoy is the way to go. Average cost per person would be $20-40 including a beer. Luckily I was able to save 25% using entertainment book which brought the total bill down from $80+ to $63, which I thought was a more reasonable range. After eating from Mikazuki the previous night, Harajuku is no where near the quality in terms style & taste of of dishes, however I did enjoy the different flavours of gyozas and the beef tataki was beautifully seared and soaked in yuzu & wasabi sauce. Overall, personally in order to enjoy a nice meal at Harajuku you need a group of 4 or more as the food is quite pricey. However you could also go there and enjoy a few Japanese cocktails or beer with some gyozas.

Awesome looking place with spacious seating. Pretty much what you would expect for a dumpling house. The dumplings were quality and everything else was equally as good. Perhaps not the most flavoursome dumplings I have ever had, but good none the less. The only setback was the time between ordering and the arrival of the food. Mostly ok, but we ordered two serves of chips at the same time. One came out and we had to wait about 20 mins for the other serve (while we saw others getting theirs). Oh well, can’t have it all! Good place.

We had lunch here on a Sunday. Lotus root chips with spicy seasoning, pork gyozas, prawn gyozas, popcorn pork belly with chilli caramel sauce, fries with Japanese mayo. (We ordered fries after gyozas & pork belly as we didn't feel quite satisfied... Fries were a good decision... Skin-on fries... Happily eat them with or without mayo...crispy & properly seasoned.) Order at your table via QR code. Food was enjoyable except for prawn gyozas, which had a somewhat mushy prawn filling. These are served in ginger-soy dipping sauce so the dumpling pastry lost its crispy bottom. Friendly, efficient service.

It was a great place to hang out while I waited for my friend with great tunes and a nice vibe. Then when they arrived we ordered a variety of gyoza to share and they were excellent. The best were the prawn ones. The service was quick and I liked ordering on their table tablet. There’s more dishes I want to try next time and will be back with more friends next time!

We had our team Xmas dinner here last night & we absolutely loved it. The setting is funky, the food is hot 🔥 & delicious, and the plum wine 🍷 goes down real easy. The service is excellent too. Highly recommend. Important to book. Get public transport. Parking limited & expensive. Date/time of visit: 13 May 2022 @ 4:30pm (approx) These were good gyoza, as good as any another decent places serving gyoza. They were enjoyable and tasty. Where Harajuku Gyoza stood out was their cheeseburger gyoza, and their duck gyoza poached with spicy vinegar. This was my first time experiencing a cheeseburger gyoza and it was an exciting treat (I've since been told that other venues do serve them but I'm happy Harajuju Gyoza was my first). The cucumber with miso dressing was refreshing and delicious. My partner enjoyed the chicken wings. The staff were great. Ordering and paying for items was via mobile device (i.e. smart phone) and the process was relatively easy (I'm hoping they had normal menus for those without such devices or those who have trouble using such devices in this manner). The venue looks good - we were seated outside (hoping the weather wouldn't change - it had been raining consistently during the same week). Inside looks spacious. It appears to be a place to drink with friends/colleagues while snacking on gyoza but we don't drink and just ate gyoza with soft drinks. :-) A place for us to satisfy our hunger with some good gyoza but not for a main meal. Price point was ok but it can easily become an expensive eating experience.

Great place to hang out and try different beers, they have a large selection. They also do a lot of small nibble, snack type food which goes well with the beer. They have a large selection of gyoza ( similar to pan fried wonton) Their plates are also unique Friendly staff, nice place to relax and hangout.

We had our wedding in Darling Harbour recently, and needed a venue for between the ceremony and reception for light snacks and drinks - a last minute issue with our original venue led us to Harajuku Gyoza and we are SO happy that it did. Andrew was amazingly quick and helpful in booking out a private area for us. The food was delicious, staff was great and overall an absolute hit for everyone that attended. Thanks a million!

The gyozas and long fries are worth having here! There's also beer tasting and the craft beers are a treat. My only hope is that this place makes a few more additions to their menu as the food is incredibly tasty.

Closed insanely early on a Saturday (9:30) so was disappointed about that. Now the Pocky Porter was very good, as was the Gyoza. The foot long fries were decent although I liked the novelty. Just check on hours before you go there. I’d get a flight of different kinds if you can.

  • 3/5 Ben F. 9 months ago on Google
Great selection of beers on tap however the Japanese beef bowl needed more flavour. After seeing other people’s orders I feel this is a better dumpling place than anything else and regretted my choice. Regardless, the beef was bland which is not what I expected. I also waited for a table for several minutes but was ignored. I ended up taking my own seat at a spare table which is fine, just done have a “please wait to be seated” sign if you’re not interested in seating people.

Good option for big groups. Some gyoza tastier than others. The buffalo chicken one was an acquired taste. The lamb ribs were the highlight!! The order to table via QR code was a bit confusing with lots of repetitive orders. Would be good if the staff could call out the order name louder to avoid confusion

The beer was so good! A must try for dry beer lovers! There was also free on the house food such as edimame when you order a jug of there dry beer. The veggie tempura was so good! I didn't expect that an eggplant, string beans and pumpkin can be this good when deep-fried!

  • 4/5 Angie M. 2 years ago on Google
The place is good for a few beer with friends. A good vibe and prices are reasonable. I tried the watermelon favour beer and the brown sugar umesu. Tried 5-6 different gyoza, love the chess burger and the duck the most. I also ordered the ice cream, it came with 3 scoop , it would be perfect if I can have one favour each instead of 3 same one.

Took advantage of the Tuesday 2 for 1 deal, and tried some yummy Gyozas. The standout ones were: lemongrass and chicken; butter crab; and the prawn with ponzu sauce. The pork was average. The shitake mushroom had a bit of a strange flavour, but the Takoyaki (octopus) was the biggest let down by far. The light cheesecake with white chocolate and matcha sauce was amazing! And the Amaretto Sour cocktail was delicious. Service was friendly and food was pretty quick. Overall great place to try for a chilled evening.

Came for a quick lunch and enjoyed a nice meal. I found the side dishes to be delightful, it was a bit of a mixed bag with the modern take on dumplings. Service was good, as was the beer

Now we all know Harajuku Gyoza is famous for their delicious Gyoza which pair perfectly with beer in their beer hall, but can we tell you that now, for a limited time, there’s also Sumo-Sized Sushi Tacos! If you’re a fan of sushi and tacos, then head in and try this mighty fine combo! These giant sushi tacos come in three tasty flavours - Crispy Karaage, Sashimi Salmon, or Tofu and Avocado. We were interested to see how these went, and weren’t sure how they’d hold together, but they absolutely do. The nori paper has been lightly fried in tempura, filled with rice and a decent portion of the topping and served in a cardboard holder. We even cut one in half and still held well. The rice is beautifully seasoned and the toppings are so moreish. The karaage chicken and salmon sashimi options have a nice spicy sauce on them too. For the vegetarians and vegans, the tofu and cucumber is perfect and also quite refreshing. Pair with the signature Yuzu highball cocktail or Yoyogi Pale Ale. We grabbed a beer and the paring is certainly recommended. Only for a limited time only, so be quick. We also had some their Gyoza, or little Japanese dumplings - the duck ones, poached with spiced vinegar and candied orange. We also had kingfish sashimi, karage and fries Find these at the Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium which is down in Darling Harbour. Great for a night out and to experience features of Japanese culture and food. 6-8 Nicolle Walk Darling Harbour

Nice space and self service was easy. The food came out quickly for the most part except when we ordered more. Recommend the cheese gyoza (so delicious we did a second round). Wasn't a fan of the duck or the takoyaki ones, and the buffalo didn't quite hit the flavour profile but tasted ok nonetheless.

  • 5/5 Lily L. 9 months ago on Google
I came in for the second time last night with 3 friends. A little while after we ordered our food separately through the QR code, a server very apologetically let us know that they hadn't received our orders because the system had gone down, and that they needed to put them through again. We started to figure out what we had ordered while staff went to inform other tables. A few minutes later, we were told that the system was back and that our initial orders were received. Food and drinks came out very quickly after that. We were even given a serving of mushroom gyoza for the table, and a couple extra drinks. I would have given a great review even without the extras, but it's a testament that the staff truly care about their customers' experience. These things happen sometimes, and it was handled very well by everyone we interacted with. Even though the staff must've been rushed due to the situation, everything came out perfectly. Food was hot, looked amazing and tasted even better, drinks were just as good. We had a great time. The service and hospitality by all the staff was better than most would hope for, and I will gladly be back. Thank you team 💛

This place is pretty cool. You got a nice vibe inside, greet ambience outdoors facing the Chinese garden of friendship and the pedestrians up and down the darling harbour area. Prices are alright, service is friendly and they have delicious gyōza you all shkoukd try eventually. $5 selected beverages during happy hour.

Excellent service! The open park belly dumpling was so yummy that we ordered another one. Other food was okay - eggplant tempura was probably the biggest let down because it was too oily and heavy. All and all very much enjoyed the experience. Love my cider with a twist!

I went here to celebrate my birthday with some friends and we had fun. Definetly check out their Takoyaki Gyoza and their Duck Gyoza. Also, talking about beer, absolutely try the one in the photo, which is a Pocky Porter: it tastes like pretzels and chocolate, and has a coffee aftertaste and smell. It's amazing!

Good food and great service! Love this place, it's also a brewery behind a bar. Japanese bar snack restaurant serving Japanese dumplings and bar food. Pretty nice place which is next to Fratelli Fresh, you can't miss it because of their happy hour signages! Some things I like about this place are their more unique beer selections, particularly of Yoyogi. Their gyoza is a definite must-try, but do expect to pay up to 9 AUD for the 5 delicious pieces of their pork gyoza. Their menu also features a lot of other interesting variations, though prices get higher too. Definitely a good place to try out if you are comfortable with the prices!

Great experience, booking made it easy, we got our food straight away, one item was forgotten and quickly made, and one accidently added to the bill, but otherwise the food was spectacular coupled with a great atmosphere I would definitely recommend. A great place for small or large groups, also seemingly popular for birthdays of young adults with friends. With an excellent venue and an array of both deliciously classical and crossover foods paired with a beer of your choosing this is an experience I would recommend and go again

Ate here for lunch with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed the food a lot. The ambience was nice, with lots of space and sunshine, without feeling hot. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Even though we ordered a lot, not everyone was full, so we probably should’ve ordered some rice as well because gyoza by themselves aren’t filling enough. Overall, enjoyed eating here a lot and will definitely be returning.

Some of the food options were quite good such as the lemon grass chicken gyoza, cheeseburger gyoza and lychee cocktail teapot however many were lacking such as the pork belly, duck gyoza etc. The staff although very polite and accommodating were generally disorganized / under staffed at times. And the electronic menus although seemingly handy were confusing to operate and the staff seemed to struggle with them as well.

We live locally and have been there several times as food is alright and gives us something different to have within our regular diets. Unfortunately, they have a major issue regarding opening times. They will advertise that they are open until 21:00 but we have now been refused for the third time to be served just past 20:00, "as they were closing earlier due to having training". I can understand a one-off, but three times is too much. Knowing that I can go to a restaurant well within their opening times and expecting to get served is part of what opening times are for. Their advice has been to call them in advance to know whether they are actually opening during their opening times. Sorry, won't do. There are plenty of other options in the Darling area that are actually open when they say they are. I would kindly suggest you to either advertise properly, offline and online, when you are modifying your opening times on the go; or start doing training sessions that do not interfere with your regular opening hours. Plenty of other businesses seem to have figured it out already.

The place had a nice ambience however I cannot rate the food highly at all. Out of the 5 dishes of gyozas we ordered only one was actually freshly cooked and hot. The rest were close to being cold and chewy.

Porter was nice, should be a bit darker which explains the lack of roasted malts character. Pale ale was good. Rum IPA was disappointing. Passionfruit sour not showcasing much passionfruit. They only hold the fermenter, so techincally not a brewery but a big fermenting room. Seriously doubt anyone would know the difference Food was good. The Chicken Kirage was excellent.

This restaurant was on my list on where to eat on our first time in Sydney. It did not disappoint. From the staff that warmly greeted us to the server who was prompt. Their gyoza's are flavorful & very inventive. It's the first time I have tried a takoyaki gyoza & it was so delicious. It was so delicious that we went here twice on our trip because we wanted to try the other gyoza's. We also ordered the chicken karaage & it was so crispy, juicy & flavorful. Sorry but we're not beer drinkers so we weren't able to try those. Love this restaurant!
