Parking was a cinch with lots of street space available. The walk down was a manageable 20 or so, nice wide steps. Be careful when wet from rain as the steps themselves were just fine packed gravel. Not stroller or wheelchair accessible. No toilets. The waterfall itself was peaceful and had a relaxing atmosphere. Much more impressive after some rainfall. There are also short walking trails around the top and bottom if you are so inclined.

It’s a very beautiful waking track that I discovered last week. Loved the quiet peaceful track, with a scenic fall, we call it a hidden fall in the trees as you have to go down the hill to see this beautiful fall. The whole track is a nice break for anyone who love short walks. You can cover the whole track in like 73 minutes on a normal waking speed πŸ˜‚ I walk fast so I covered the track back and forth in like 49 min May be… but it was worth it. Highly recommended πŸ‘

Nice place for hiking and walking with family. Great hidden gem in middle of Carlingford. The track is bit short loop around 1.8km. Very good for Kids first bush walk or first hiking experience.

Balaka Falls is a simple and beautiful place that is calm with easy access. Want to come back when it's flooding to get the best waterfall shots!

Track is great for short walk and weekend unwind. This track is easy walk and great for family as well. There are two entry gates and more entry points to get to the falls. The main track is a loop track which can be completed in 40 min - 1 hour and 15 max. There is no toilet or drinking water.

Beautiful and easy bushwalk in Carlingford. The homes surrounding it are so lucky to have this small nature reserve on their doorstep!

Plenty of parking available on street and then it's 3 minutes walk to the falls. Really beautiful waterfall located in the suberban area of Sydney. There is short circuit track which hardly takes 20 minutes. Perfect place to visit with family and friends.

Was a great kid friendly walk! We actually parked right at the entrance where we had a very short 3min walk to the actual falls, so we followed a walking track and enjoyed the nature walk. Loved that there were Information boards along the walk about the wildlife residig there.

I have been to this place many times and it is just a small waterfall, not as spectacular as shown in some reviews. There are many visitors and sadly, rubbish is left behind, graffiti starts to appear on carving on tree trunks, and some inconsiderate people bring their picnic chairs and occupy the small space preventing others to take unobstructed pictures. There are nicer and more spacious parks to visit.

Very accessible set of falls, a short walk from a nearby street or as part of a longer trail where you can stretch your legs.

Very beautiful, kind of rain forest. Palm trees and ferns everywhere, if you go late evening or before sunset all the birds coming back to their nests. For me its a different experience. Highly recommend

was so peaceful and quiet ...due to lack of rain the waterfall is currently small but well worth the visit especially for people who live out west ...it took me 17 mins to drive from Blacktown

This is a very beautifull place in the middle of suburbia . Its just a short 280m walk from the road down some stairs and a walkway and your in the middle of a tropical rainforest with all the bird sounds its amazing .It would be especially good on a hot day , but I could imagine it would get crowded there .

Easy walk with children, plenty of access points and there is a small waterfall. It's a calm and serene place to go for a stroll. Depending on which entry you come from there are stairs.

Good bushwalking experience in this place. It's a loop trail and around 3km. The difficulty of the entire trip is easy to moderate, so it's children friendly. The waterfall is the most gorgeous place especially after raining.

You need to treat yourself and take the opportunity to do this easy walk. A few way to enter this area. Two are easy entry but all are okay. It was a warmish day and as we descended to Balaka Falls the cool air was refreshing. If you want to have a longer walk go west from the falls (downstream). If you go far enough you will end at Parramatta Lake but that is not what we did. You leave one section of the walk, cross a road to enter another part of the track. Photo opportunities along the way. As you explore and weave your way through the tall gums you will cross a number of bridges depending how far you go. Not hard to understand why this was Bushranger country in times gone past. Enjoy!

Chasing waterfall today, and glad to see this falls eventually turn out so pretty, compare to its usual almost-dry falls. And thanks to this lady with one of the most beautiful sets of fingernails, for taking pics of us.

The fall is just a minute from the road. Take the stairs, walk a little bit and you are there. Good for a short trip especially a day after it rains. However there is a walking track as well and one can enjoy the feel of a real forest. Parking should not be a problem.

A festering helhole with no parking swarming with bugs and ticks and leeches ... actually it's a gorgeous handy spot - I did a photoshoot with a friend down there and we loved it

Pretty local falls. Better to go after it has rained hard. Can be very popular during warmer or sunny days. All to yourself when the weather is horrible.

Very amazing - as a tip, go right after a rainy day, that is when the waterfalls are at the best point. Good place to collect unique insects as well.

A nice walk near to Parramatta, there weren’t much water as it was a dry season. Because of that i didn’t dare to step into water as it wasn’t clear and saw lots of algae on rocks and everywhere. I walked further up to the walking track to see what’s up there but it was getting dark so we stopped after 15 mins of walk. I saw a few spiders and interesting trees on the way.

We only walked a short part of this bushwalk, whilst the river was raging after rain, but you could carry on well down the river. Paved pathway was helpful. Very loud waterfall!

It’s not such of a huge waterfall, rather it’s small but a decent looking waterfall that lies between thin jungle. If you want to spend few hours with the peaceful nature, it is worth it here. It’s quiet, clean and really vibing. Give it a go, you’ll enjoy. Note there are no toilets, or wheelchair access. It can get slippery when wet. Parking spots are plenty as it is just couple minutes away from road.

Very lovely nature place nearby Carlingford. I was very suprised that this kind of beautiful place is in middle of Sydney. Made two different visits here and after rain falls looks like amazing. If you are nearby, please visit this peacefull place.

A beautifully calm place to relax and unwind with a drink or a cup of coffee or a picnic lunch. Listen to the sounds of birds, frogs and other wildlife animals that surround you. Dip your feet in the water and feel the coolness while hearing the water trickling down the rocks. Enjoy the natural surroundings and watch the birds fly high above, see the lizards crawl between the rocks and grass, watch closely as the tadpoles swim around you. Overall a pleasant place to go for a jog among the forest, walk or sit down and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere.

A nice little walk in suburbia, the first half of the trial is very stroller friendly and picturesque. The waterfalls are a nice addition. Managed to catch the waterfall after a heavy downpour and it was quite impressive!

Very relaxing and easy walk with family/children. There is a rewarding sight with a small waterfall however it will be bigger if u go on days after rainfall. Definitely enjoyable and will do again!

Nice place to visit but could not explore much due to rain. The smell of water and surrounding took me back to time to my childhood back home.
