We were walking by circular quay and had cravings for ice cream/chocolate. Decided to pop in for a visit. The place was busy (customers sitting outside by the water) however no queue at the entrance of the store. There were some available sitting at the back by the entrance and hence we decided to sit down. Went to the counter and asked about the menu. The cashier was angsty and annoyed with the fact that we sat down without telling them. She mentioned there’s a queue and we needed to wait and let them know. I pointed to the entrance showing her there wasn’t anyone in the queue and staff/waiters were busy waitressing orders. She was rude about it given her delivery could’ve been alot better given children were there. My kid asked “why is she angry with us daddy?” 3 stars due to rudeness of that staff (perhaps she’s having a bad day). The rest of the staff were amazing and truly helpful. Waffles, ice cream and ice coffee was delicious.

Doesn’t even deserve a star. More so, half a star!! We popped in as we wanted something warm after our walk around the quay! We ordered 2 hot chocolates that cost $9 each! You would think that their hot chocolate would be delicious because they are known for their delicious chocolates!! Well you’re wrong! One of the worse hot chocolate we ever tasted! It wasn’t even hot! So don’t even bother! We didn’t even know that they have a 10% weekend surcharge when you dine in. Service was meh..

Visited Guylian to get an afternoon treat to hold me over and I ended up over-ordering and ruining my dinner appetite 😂 What started as deciding on a cake ended up by ordering a plate full of waffles and a hot chocolate. The waffles are delicious. I think they are premade and reheated, but they are so crispy and delicious that I didn't care. The hot chocolate is also amazing. It is served in a separate pouring container which you pour into a mug with chocolate buttons. It all melts together and creates a delicious chocolate concoction. The dining room is in terrible condition and in desperate need of a renovation. The tables and chairs are worn. It is clear that this place caters for tourists and there is no need to work hard to win over locals. Visit for the delicious food, not the dining experience.

Whilst walking down the opera quays walkway we stumbled across this Guylian boutique café and couldn't say no. I didn't realize the company had cafés until that moment and the hot chocolate seemed too good to pass up. We ordered two drinks and desserts, and were not disappointed. Incredibly rich and gourmet, friendly staff and a pleasant outdoor atmosphere.

the staff is very polite. I came here with my friends. She had a lovely experience. Perfect location near the opera house with some views of the harbour and a lot of palms trees 🌲. The food was so yummy, I order tossed with avocado and a lot of cherry tomatoes on the top. The cap was good as well my friend order dark hot chocolate and it was good. Last 5 months wasn’t the same I was not happy anymore but today is different Thanks chef and staff

Nice seating area in the sun and by the water. Coffee was perfect, the eclair (custard coffee flavour) however, wasn’t that great- it did not taste fresh and the custard did not taste like custard. It was OK but wasn’t that nice and wasn’t worth the price ($13). Presentation and service was great.

The choclates and the the hot chocolate drink are a staple here. But service might depend on the person. I've got really good service and also bad service from here. But I would highly recommend having a hot chocolate on a cold evening while gazing at the Sydney harbour bridge.

Cafe was very packed during my visit on a Sunday early evening. Had a waffle and cappuccino. Very average dessert and coffee but view was fantastic.

I just had the worst hot chocolate of my life at Guylian Circular Quay. I am in the cbd once a week, at least, and always get a coffee or hot chocolate at the town hall shop. I’ve never had a bad experience there. Today I went to the circular quay shop instead and regretted instantly. Customer service is below average - unfriendly staff. I ordered a dark hot chocolate for takeaway, which tasted like milk with drinking chocolate powder served in a bad quality coffee cup. The lid didn’t close properly and after the first sip, I had chocolate all over my clothes. It’s not a cheap place to offer low quality service and product. The cup is also a risk, as the drink is served super hot. I will never come back. Typical trap for tourists.

Worst chocolate drink and waffle I ever had. Cost you about 20 for this very basic waffle, the ice cream is not nice and the chocolate drizzle tastes below leverage. The chocolate drink tastes worse than the McDonald's chocolate drink. Friendly staff btw.

An evening in Sydney 💕 If you are thinking about romantic evening to spent at Circular Quay, you cant go wrong with Guylian Belgium Chocolate Cafe.. enjoy the beautiful evening with scenic views and on one side with mouthwatering desserts, Chocolates and Coffees. In frame : Orange and Choc Dome and Cappuccino.. it just melts in your mouth. Feeling of heaven on earth🥰 Big shout ou to all chocolate 🍫 ❤️

Amazing! Last year we had a bad experience and haven't been back. But now we gave it a shot and was impressed on the service, the fresh sweets and great coffee.... with chocolate added of course

Perfect location near opera house with some views of the harbour. I love how the staff entertained us. Very polite and fast service! I came here with my friend who just arrived here in Syd. She had a lovely experience. 😍 I ordered Peach Bellini 🍑 and my friend Jen ordered their Guylian signature hot choco. We shared the pecan and dates tart 👌🏼

The staff was friendly, we ate outside and had a great view, and the desserts were delicious and not too sweet.

Delicious pastries. The shop is in a strategic location with a very friendly staff. Excellent value for money and very good coffee and cappuccino. I recommended this cafè (look at pictures).

Worst caesar salad I ever had. The chicken was cold and not of high quality. Bacon (???) looked just disgusting. Even had the strung of the lettuce in it 😂😂 Wasn’t offered free water as everyone else was. Service and staff could have been way better - they didn’t really care at all. Do not recommend at all l. Go and save your money. Might just go and buy a salad, premade sauce and already shredded parmesan.

A lovely breakfast on a cool morning. The hot chocolate was very rich and great with the lovely view from the outside. The food came quickly and hot chocolate was the perfect temp. Very helpful staff

The place is perfect for your afternoon coffee, to enjoy the sunset looking down the Sydney Opera House. Ordered mocha with oat milk, tasted so good. Passion fruit tart was beyond expectation. Most importantly, the server was very kind.. good place for friends gathering.

We came here instead of the Town Hall branch, with high expectations. If you wish for a view of our gorgeous Harbour Bridge, there’s minimal views. Gosh were we disappointed. Used the bathroom and the toilet was broken. The tap didn't work and there were no paper towels. On top of this inconvenience, I went to pay for my drinks. I got told it wasn't the correct money. I was told I missed $2.05. Questioning why this was the case, the waitress just said “it’s not enough”. When I approached again with the extra money, she blatantly said there’s a weekend surcharge of 10%. Card payments are an extra 1.5%. The Guylian Iced Coffee was nice, though I’d go to a different branch next time to get it next time.

Coffee is good here, the chocolate cake is always good for a tasty choice but other desserts are usually dry and with not much flavour just plenty of sugar-but at least the birds enjoyed it!
