I enjoyed a 5 Star Friday night, thanks to Fantasia Cruising and their City Sights & Sunset Cruise! You will be hard-pressed finding a better way to spend a spring night in Sydney than a; City Sights & Sunset Cruise! For $25 bucks you can enjoy a 90min harbor cruise around Sydney Harbour and the ticker price includes a beer wine or soft drink…. Yes that’s right $25!! If you are into photography, you will also grab some amazing shots. (Check out my photos below). It’s worth noting that there is limited snack options available onboard, so it might be worth while grabbing a snack prior to boarding if you’re peckish. A special thanks to all the staff onboard as they were good, and Kim did a great job booking the tickets. 5 Stars. Enjoy!

Just did the "Vivid" evening cruise, and while you won't see a huge amount of actual Vivid installations, the city does look beautiful at night. The boat was comfortable enough but be careful if you sit up the back outside - the fumes from the engine can be overwhelming.

My friend booked a whale cruise for my birthday and it very kind of her.The Fantasea is a beautiful cruise ship with plenty of room to move around and grab a nice spot to watch the whales. I've always wanted to see whales so was looking forward to the cruise..We booked the 3pm express cruise which was good as it was enough day light for spotting the whales and coming back in the sunset.Seeing the whales in its natural habitat is just priceless and the whole experience was just awesome , would definitely do it again in a heart beat ..highly recommended.

Booked for whale watch and had a great time. Before departing, the Naturalist told us waves were high so it might be a little rough. We were told we could re-book at no charge if we didn't want to go. I'm glad I went, the boat is clean and comfortable and crew helpful and knowledgeable. We found a group of wales and the captain matched their course and speed. Lots of sightings as they went up and down.

Did not get my confirmation with tickets so had to get them on the way. Entree Salad for us was half the size of any one elses, complained about it and what came back was no better. The rest of the meals were ok, for the price it was a bit disappointing. Vivid lights were great and we did a good number of passes in the circuit.

Incredible whale watching experience. Paid $69 for a two hour cruise and saw three whales, and a pod of dolphins. Crew were informative, provided sick bags, and told everyone with a clock system on where to see the whales. Service and experience was great and highly recommend.

As the guarantee promises, we did see whales, and they were a joy to see! I appreciated the Captain’s respect for the humble giants and for keeping the 100-meter required distance from them. I saw other companies’ vessels speeding towards the whales and was concerned about the stress it was causing to the marine life. Fantasea was very respectful of the marine life. However, the crew did very little to interact or inform guests about the whales. There is no PA system or commentary about the whales - what type you’re seeing or the whale migratory patterns. The crew made many announcements chastising those on the bow for not holding on (I understand and respect this requirement) but they had little other interaction with guests. I appreciated the quiet moments to watch the whales but would have also enjoyed a balance of that with some information & interaction from the crew.

A relaxing cruise bring you through different spots within the Sydney Harbour. Staffs are courteous and warm. The boat is comfortable. Drinks on the boat is reasonably priced.

Be careful when you book 24/48 hours tickets with them. They cancelled and reduced some lines and let us know on the same day! We had to change all our itenary same day.

Even though the whales performed beautifully the boat was so crowded it was difficult to see anything. It was also very choppy so there was a lot of people unwell. I’m sure many people may have chosen to reschedule if that was given as an option. I think there were 3 staff members for maybe 100 guests so if something happened in the bad weather I’m not sure they would have been able to adequately keep everyone safe. I would definitely recommend whale watching at this time of year, they are just majestic, but I would choose a different operator. The staff were lovely but the conditions, understaffed and overcrowded is just not acceptable for this kind of venture. That’s when tragedies can potentially occur

We had an incredible experience on the 3 hour whale watching cruise! There was a whale was swimming and spy-hopping all around the boat for about 45 minutes - it was incredible! We got some amazing shots. Great captain and crew.

Best whale watching experience. Crew answer lots of questions. We saw pods of whales, breaches, whale blowing, whales and heard the whale trumpet sound. Great deals as nrma member. Would recommend to all

Booked though get your Guide three days in advance and said we would get confirmation with in 48h. When we didn’t get confirmation I called fantasea and they said they they had never received our booking and there was no spaces left even though get your guide said there was still seats available. I asked if she could contact get your guide to sort the issue out as this shouldn’t be happening and I would hate for it to happen to someone else and she just said there is nothing they could do. She didn’t offer anything to help or to rebook for another time. When I asked why they allow a third party to sell there tickets when there is none available she just said it’s not there problem. Super disappointed in the lack of compassion and responsibility of this company

A great experience, very friendly & knowledgeable staff prior to the trip and onboard. We saw a number of whales putting on a great show of breaching, tail slapping & swimming. Will definitely go again.

Great service, saw at least twenty whales. Boat was fast. Just an awsome trip, worth the money! Just do it too.

This was one amazing and loss for words whale watching experience. Managed to see 4 bridges of the whales and was too awe struck to take pictures. Awesome captain and crew. Worth the time and money spent on this wonderful cruise. No regrets.

I strongly don't recommend this trip if you feel sea sick, it was a clear, sunny and less windy day, but the swell was intense and I really felt sick, ruined rest of the day. Overall was a great experience for my family as we saw few whales, around 15 dolphins jumping around and also seals.

Paid the extra and booked the ferry tour from Darling harbour to Taronga Zoo, and we’re really glad we did. On time, plenty of space (unlike the other overcrowded ferries), smooth ride, friendly staff. This was a highlight of the day. I’m glad I phoned ahead though, as we needed to get the address of darling harbour pick up point as it wasn’t on the email. We also needed a paper ticket to give the zoo.

Fine service but nothing more than the normal ferry boats. In fact possibly louder boat. We were a bit annoyed with ourselves as on the weekend the public transport service maxes out at $8.25 and so this was quite a lot more expensive and less regular.

We booked Sydney NYE Ultimate Cruise (three level cruise) and enjoyed every aspect of it. Prime position in between Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Six hours of finger food and open bar plus a buffet dinner. DJ's and live music on every level of the cruise. Very friendly staff. However, with $1,000+ ticket price I was expecting a professional photographer to be on board which wasn't. Would I do it again? yes for pleasure no for the price.

My partner and I booked for the fireworks cruise with Jeff on Saturday. He was fantastic from the start. Explained perfectly what to expect and was helpful with other suggestions on what to do on our weekend as we are not from Sydney.

Utterly disappointed. Wrong side of the bridge. Advertised as “prime position” and “uninterrupted views” of the midnight fireworks. Could not even see the opera house. Positioned infront of Balmain East ferry wharf where I could have sat for free. We did donut circles for 2hours and there was no vibe. No problems but give me the PRIME position we’ve paid for. The website also indicates a “great position”. See my photos verse their advertising. The crew were lovely and the customer service was great, except the email that stated to memorize this “orange and red boat” cause that’s our boat and we were put on a white one on the day… My poor mum paid $400 per ticket and then got hit with a $50 surcharge at check out. I would happily pay $150-200 a ticket for that position but complete false advertising and rip off.

The whales and dolphins were FANTASTIC - but the unwanted indigenous "wisdom" was ruining an otherwise 5-star experience - please guys, you have a captive audience on board - don't force content down their throats that might not be welcomed by everyone. We selected this tour to experience whales in the serenity of the sound of nature, not the constant loud controversial views being blabbered over the loudspeakers all the time. If you really want to do that - maybe offer 2 types of tours: - Whale watching or - Indigenous BS with some whales on the side

Wonderful cruise highly recommend. We had a incredible view of the Harbour bridge Opera House and the light show for Australia Day. They gave us mini flags and were part of the parade. We were able to take our own food and a drink was included in the cost. It’s definitely a wonderful way to see the light show.

Great day out. Had lots of opportunities to see whales. Well worth the money.

It was a bit hard to get a booking in over the phone due to the popularity of the whale watch. The staff did pull through and gave me a call back. The trip its self was very pleasant and filled with good encounters with humpback whales. We even had a super close encounter when the whales decided to suddenly surface to check us out. I felt the activity was well worth the money! Word of caution the boat will orientate itself to get a good view but sacrificing stability, so walking may be risky at times. Try to hold still and minimize walking, imo it is totally random where whales choose to show to just try not to move. Boat was running on time and the staff member was super friendly and helpful! Boat amenities are well maintained and feels great!

Did the Sunset Whale watching tour and while we didn't see whales we had a pod of dolphins chase us out of the heads. The crew were great and even though the swell was quite big the captain kept the boat steady. Well worth doing.

Amazing trip, it helped the weather was lovely for a winters day, so glad I decided to go and be a tourist in my own city. We saw whales, dolphins and seals on the tour. Appreciate the staff and fantasea during this Covid period, the staff were great at ensuring the safety and social distancing on the boat and gave great insight into the migration on the whales. All round fun day out.
