Good for a quick stop-over to enjoy the view overlooking Thirroul and Bulli. Altitude 1148 Dining is not an ideal place to grab quick bites though, we decided to skip getting food here. Wollongong Visitor Information Centre was closed during our visit. Toilets are available.

Great awesome country hotel. Staff very helpful, polite and BEST EVER home made country meals great value for money. Will go back.

Unfortunately it was very cloudy, so it was hard to get a good photo... But the icecream was really good... The view to see was still spectacular, but unfortunately the outside the bathroom was really stinky hence the 3bstsr otherwise it would have been 4

Excellent visitor centre packed with info to explore the south coast. Staff is super friendly. The viewing platform is a nice addition, we stopped off on a foggy day so couldn’t see beyond the immediate tree line but the map shows each point visible from the lookout on a clear day. Good bathrooms and there is also drinks, snacks and gelato available.

Great spot to stop, easily accessible and you can’t miss it. Expect plenty of amenities such as a cafe, a large restaurant, snacks and pastries, gelato and ice cream, and a great view with plenty of space to walk around. Clean toilets too.

Good viewing good food

A must stop if you are heading south. Relax yourself with the panoramic view!

A truly lovely, peaceful lookout with Cafe, restaurant, gift shop and clean amenities. We've been here twice, the view is stunning on a clear day. We've eaten at both the restaurant and the Cafe and browsed the gift shop. It's peaceful and unhurried here, though it is busy. Plenty of parking.

The view from the cafe also having coffee @ Gelato Emporium was nice too.. I had Tradies Pie..(Beef, Chicken, Bacon) it was yummy too.. But my favourite Lemon sorbet wasn't that great.. that's the one thing only dissapointed but other than that, I'll recommend 100% to come n visit n stop by to see the beautiful views😁

Lovely views of the Illawarra area the centre has the tourist information centre a cafe and a gelato shop.

There is a cosy gelato store with stunning view outside the balcony! An absolute hidden gem.

Breathing views 🙂 Stop here if you're driving past, you won't be disappointed! The cafe in the centre has a decent menu, we had coffee n a light meal on my visit. I'll be back!

Great views of Wollongong

What an amazing place to stop, an unbelievable view. And the man that work in the coffee shop/restaurant is very polite. Coffee is good and I even get my choc chip muffin warmed up. Thumbs up from me

One of the best visitor's centre with an amazing ocean views also has public amenities, descent selection of menus from the restaurant with dine in options with limited seating. You can also go for a few lookouts. During the busy period finding a car park can be a little challenging, otherwise great place to stop by ☺️

We stopped at the café for the first time today, expecting average food at tourist prices (we were hungry!) and were blown away by the quality of our meals and the value. We ordered from the takeaway menu, which is quite a bit less expensive than sitting in the restaurant, but we hadn't wanted fries and whatever extras come with them anyway. My grilled barramundi sandwich was among the best fish sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. Fish was tender, generous portion and full of flavour without being fishy. Perfect with tartare sauce and greens in a seeded ciabatta bun. It was a large sandwich but I finished it because it was so good. My husband got the chicken Caesar salad and loved his just as much. The view is worth a stop and the lady at the information centre was helpful and friendly. We moved to the Illawarra region a few months ago and pass by the centre on the way to Sydney fairly often. It had never occurred to us to stop before, but I am looking forward to our next meal there!

I imagine it would have been a great little place.... I wanted to get some breakfast there, but it was closed that day 😐😐😐... I went to the tourist centre and got coffee... the views from the place are breathtaking 🤩🤩

Amazing endless view of the Illawarra. Cafe, ice-cream, restaurant and an information centre all reside here. Well worth the stop as you drive down into Wollongong.

Great view and great resting spot on the way to Hyams beach. There is enough parking spots, cafes and public toilets.

The staff was dressed shabby. Chairs were dirty. Place was untidy.
