Went with Family for the Onam special Lunch today 26/8/23 Saturday.Rice was served again if requested on top of the already full plate of the Onam treat! Great ambience. Serving staff were very attentive. No seating issues, even though it was crowded around 12.45pm. All of our family enjoyed the food thoroughly!!

I have always a very good experience with this restaurant. First time I went to have Navratri fast thhali. It was so yumm and the quality and quantity was really great. Today again we went for poori sabji and it was really good experience. I did not ask the name of the girl who took our order and who served, but both were amazing. I would definitely go to this place again.

Visited this with friends, 4 of us enjoy navaratri vart thali which was cooked and presented to perfection. They made salted lassi on our request although it was not in ready stock. Their rava masala dosa was a hit. Team also had aloo gobhi, daal tadka and panner butter masala. Rotis were soft and hot. In short, everything was perfect. Staff always had a big smile on their faces :)

Taj Indian Sweet left us thoroughly dissatisfied with their sour peda, dry milk cake, and tough ras malai. The flavors were off, the milk cake lacked moisture, and the ras malai was rubbery. A disappointing experience that we won't be repeating.

I ordered Tomoto onion uttapam which is 13.9 dollar Small size uttapam Small quantity chatni n Sambar. Not sure if extra chatni n sambar cost you extra please be checked with them before you put a request. For this 13.9 is at the higher side. The taste is ok, but the price is very high.

Great food. Quite tasty and authentic Indian fare with great service and speed. The food is always of the same standard and the staff have been very helpful and courteous. They ensure to ask for spice levels when making food for kids and accommodate Jain, No onion garlic style of eating with many options. Their thali is the best value for money but all dishes come in generous portions. Overall it is a good option for vegetarians in Harris park. Parking is a bit hard to find so ensure you look in the side streets.

we have travel from the city to go and have some authentic cuisine so we saw this restaurant nice and very attractive signs outside, one staff was nice cleaned one table for us we were told she will come n take our order soon, anyhow we've been waiting but no one came to take our order so my husband went to ask and the guy said we only order at the counter well, that staff should have told us to order at the counter instead of been waiting for how many minutes so wee ordered thali's, malai kofta and palak paneer taste good but the rest wasn't good, pani puri was the worst one looks like they just open from a bought packet n serve, a bit old and not that crunchy as it should be, There should be option of Xtra hot, medium n mild curries that caters for everyone , we ask for a take away container from one of their staff she said she will bring, after few minutes we saw her leaving home so my husband went again to the counter to ask so disappointed for their service very poor I mean very very poor, I have been to many Indian restaurant n I haven't seen this type of service, If I have the chance to visit Sydney again I won't be coming to your restaurant that's for sure and I won't recommend to anyone either, sorry this is mean but inorder to have a good rating reviews for your bussiness you need to improve your service to your customers, if you are going to serve pani puri in your menu u need to deep fry yourself n not to serve the one from the packet or old one that u fried days ago, Gave you one star for cleaning the table for us and the 2 tasty curries. My little advice is read all the reviews, take it seriously turn them to positive one and I'm sure your business goes a long way.

This used to be a good restaurant. I order exactly the same two dishes every time. The last occasion, two weeks ago a got a soggy dosa that wasn't crispy and an entree that I had to put together like a jigsaw puzzle. How hard is it to answer a question and provide honest service, instead of being clever. The worst part is, I brought two guests with me. How embarrassing.

This restaurant is under rated. The food is very good and normally not too busy. My family come here regularly. They recently renovated the restaurant. There is a nice patio area.

We went here again, place is lot cleaner now 😊 Food is still tasty. We had chana vature, paneer pakoda, aaloo(potato) paratha and tea. Love it. Both lady serving food was friendly and smiling. Previous review: Food and service is good here. Toilet really needs a cleaning and maintaining the cleanness. Please make sure you have someone keeping toilet as clean as possible, its really a downer. You offer good food and great service. Chane Bhature is good Aaloo Paratha is good (1 serving might be too much for 1 person) Samosa and sweets is good as well.

Was pretty impressed with the amazing service I received. Staff members are genuinely interested in making the whole experience a pleasant one and are attentive to your needs. It took close to 15 minutes for the Chole Bhature to be served but it was fresh and worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Nice ambience & service. The place is really good for North Indian snacks & chaats, but the main course items are somewhat average.

Great selection of delicious Indian sweets. Wish there was more signage explaining the pricing of the different items, and what they are for the non Indians. As it is, you go in, point at things, and pay what they tell you at the till.

One of the best Indian food I had in Sydney. My uncle hired them for catering and that was one of the best decision he took as the food tasted amazingly great, the service (very helpful staff) was outstanding and guests were very happy. Everything they served tasted great ... from starters to main course and then desserts. Really impressed.

They served avviyal that had gone bad today. Something that was stinking enough to know it was bad while serving. If food is over they could have just told us so. There was not even apology as simple courtesy. Never order south Indian here. Or better stay away from thali in general here. Do not recommended this place.

Be careful on going in and clarify prices prior to buying. Different staff giving us different price for items on two occasions and after selecting the sweets, saying certain item has increased price. Unsure if it is as we aren't the same.

The worst sweets I ever tasted in my life. I bought a few Badshaw, halve, some khobvar sweet; they all tasted horrible. Never go to this restaurant to eat or buy sweets. Try to avoid.

This Indian restaurant has my favourite Thali dish in Sydney. The restaurant reopened recently and I’m over the moon. I’ve been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years and I love it.

We enjoyed our dinner to the fullest and I must commend the staff member (SHWETA) for their cordial attitude. My friends did not forget to appreciate the great service from your one of the employee SHWETA and other staffs . Although they were serving a large number of guests, they were always available, smiling and made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Normally come here for sweets and lassi. This time we were hungry and were met with amazing customer service and food was quickly served. Really appreciated that Shweta took the time to recommend food according to our liking. She was very patient and helped us pick the type of sweets we would enjoy. Continously checked to see if we needed anything and if we were happy with the food, which we definitely were !! Will certainly revisit due to great customer service experience and delicious food :)

We had vegetarian lunch at this restaurant on recent Saturday and ordered a few of their favorite dishes like masala dosa, samosa and the Southern Indian thali meal which has similar concept like Japanese bento or Korean dosirak i.e. big tray with bits of various dishes. We like all the dishes, though the dosa was not as crispy as the one we had in other Indian restaurants. They have very good dipping sauces for the samosa and dosa though. We also like the puri included in the thali meal. The place also sells many varieties of Indian sweets, though we did not have stomach capacity to try them after the big lunch we ordered above. The place's ambience is quite good for casual family restaurant in the suburb. Customer services from staff members are also good and they're ready to provide dish recommendation to non-Indian native customers like us. Prices on the menu are quite good value for money and you can pay with V/MC cards with no additional surcharge.

On 28 December 2021 ( Tuesday) me and my wife went for the lunch specially selected by my wife to Taj Restaurant and ordered for Mysore Masala Dosa but it was not properly cooked and it was like Nan. We both could not eat and complained to the management. We will never ever go to the TAJ in future.

The service we received on 31/12/2021 8pm was absolutely horrible. The quality of the sweets were not very impressive but the quality of service was terrifying. The staff does not care about customer waiting for hours instead she is busy chatting and laughing with her colleagues. When she was asked to introduce us with the sweets and prices, she was very reluctant and simply care about selling what she wishes. This is not the service you deserve in this country. I will recommend to try the shop right opposite to this shop instead being humiliated by their pride staff.

Often when we visit this place is for it's lip smacking delicious spicy veg chowmein noodles. It's closest to the Indian Chinese that we have back in India. I haven't come across any other outlets which would cater to the spicy palate. I have had this dish for the last 5-6 times, both the taste and texture have been consistent and flavorful. I haven't tried their other sweets / offerings. Will try during another visit.

Worst place and worst food. Smell mould and pathetic service. Food was terrible, ordered noodles and gobi manchurian. Gobi was for sure old stock, tastless. For noodles, they used cheap pasta noodle. Burnt, noodles will stretch several meters. You need scissors to cut and eat. Just tasted once and returned back. Wasted money and Never visit again.

There are many Indian shops around which will lift the face of Indian, but these guys are ruthless and greedy. The customer service are horrible, the lady only focuses to sell whatever she likes but not help you to choose what you wish.

My experience was horrible. I ordered Shahi Paneer & dal makhni. Paneer taste like kadi pakoda and dal seems the packed market one. I would never ordered anything from this restaurant now.

Careful when ordering from this store via online delivery partners. All the items in the menu are not available. Also will cancel dishes and even the order itself after a while, putting customers in trouble. Needs improvements.

Whatever happens, do not order any kulcha at this place. Its just a half cooked naan with stuffing nowhere near to how it should be. This is 'paneer kulcha'! Edit: changing it to 3 stars because the owner cared to respond. Thanks.

Please stick to the basics , ur chole kulcha is good and so u deserve another star on review

Took a while to get my take out deliveries (~20mins) while everyone at the table was getting served quickly. Also no prices on the menus on the wall. Average curries, nothing to brag about. Well priced and nice service though.

📍The Taj 🇮🇳Indian Sweet & Restaurant 😍 Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 #tajindiansweetsandrestaurants #indianfood #foodreview #sydney I had dinner at the Taj Indian sweet & restaurant today, and based on my experience, it’s a relatively typical and affordable establishment. Although they have a large variety of food items, the quality is not up to satisfactory levels, and there is still room for improvement in terms of providing healthier and less greasy meals. Overall, I had a decent experience. I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant for a special occasion, but I will keep an eye on it to see if they improve their cuisine and USP in comparison to other reputable Indian restaurants in Sydney’s Central Business District.
