I went on grade 6 camp here. The best experience of my LIFE! I wish I could go back! I still remember the memories we had and the games we played. The days of heaven.

Please pop your dogs on a lead if they cannot be controlled. A bulldog continued to barge my 4 yr old over in the water whilst I ran in after to get the dog off, the owner just watched. So annoying. Be responsible for your dogs guys. P.s I know this is a review for Lake Ainsworth however the entry to the dog beach just runs off of that.

Best Camp! (2010) Year 5. Miss those days... Lennox Heads is better than Byron Bay too.

We were evacuated to the sport and rec centre during the recent floods in Ballina and I cannot thank the staff enough for the care provided to us.We were truly so spoilt nothing was to much trouble every time they passed they asked if there was anything they could do and the food provided was exceptional . Thank you for your care and support during a very difficult time for many.

Great place to stay. Even though it was Easter weekend the place was quiet which was nice. Quick access to beach and lake. Only downer was there were no fans in the rooms. There is an aircon unit in the living room but it only runs for 30 mins at a time.

My children have just returned from school camp , the food was horrible , some one was breaking into cabins and stealing, the drinking cups we're the same from two years previous with bite marks in them! but most upsetting was that, not only my children came back very upset regarding the camp Instructors behaviours and actions. Do they have any qualifications with children ? I'm appalled at some of their stories and will be investigating further .. . .with a lot of other parents !

When I was a kid it was a great camp site for school camps. Recently I went for Auslan Voice Off Weekend and I was amazed at the disrepair the place has fallen into. My room had a mattress saturated in urine, I had to physically throw it out. Food was garbage too, took me a week to get it out of my system. Lights are flickering constantly and terrible. Even the plastic outdoor chess set was broken. Fix it up or sell.

Great memories of this place. We visited regularly in the 50s with the wolf cub scouts. Used to be a diving tower in the lake, I was pushed off the top once. Survived.

A bit of a hike to walk to the section of the beach that had the flags. Did ropes, archery, rock climbing. The lake was closed unfortunately due to algae so could not do canoeing.
