If you are a day-tripper, cleanliness is hardly guaranteed in a Taiwanese hot springs resort. After having been shocked at the grubbiness of some other places, I’ve stopped being adventurous and just keep coming back here. The communal baths here will sure to put your mind and body at ease, offering drinking water / clean sandals / quality towels / consistently respectful clientele. The latter can make or break your hot springs experience, as I’ve discovered the hard way.

We stayed for 2 nights during early Sep 2023. It was such a good experience especially with the private zen hot spring bath and steam room in our room. The hotel room also comes with 2 times daily visit to public bathhouse, would definitely recommend! Room cleaning service were very good, one thing is that the hotel is pretty aged? So the furnishing and design is not super modern, it's like 1990s design sense! Would recommend eating your lunch or dinner outside of hotel, since there's a bunch of local food around that location.

We had a really wonderful experience here. The staff treated us like royalty. Room was amazing, private bath, luxurious bed. The public baths were lovely, so relaxing. The breakfast was excellent. And the price - incredible.

It's a relatively small resort with only like 3 floors within a residential building (couldnt tell from the main entrance but when I walk around the park from 3rd floor you can see the whole building) but it has its own lobby, a cafe bakery and restaurant. The reception service was okay, just went through the motion. The rooms were lovely. There's a steam room function (though it was a little hard to start up in my room) in shower, onsen tub. Toilet (with bidget and warm seat) and basin was separated from the shower/ onsen. There were also very nice cookies (almond I think) provided from the cafe bakery downstairs. I like the quietness and the pastries in the cafe bakery at the lobby called Le Presse. Breakfast was a good selection of western and eastern cuisine (like porridge, dim sum and noodles). I love the noodles, very Q! In general the hotel is clean and the rooms come at a pretty good price for having onsen in the room + breakfast provided. Paid around TWD3800++/night via Agoda.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Beitou Hot Spring Hotel, and it was an experience like no other. From the moment I stepped into this tranquil haven, I knew I was in for a treat. One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly its world-class hot spring facilities. The moment I dipped into the rejuvenating thermal waters, I felt the stress of everyday life melt away. The hotel boasts multiple hot spring pools, each with a unique mineral composition and temperature, ensuring that every guest finds their perfect spot for relaxation. The outdoor hot spring pools, surrounded by lush greenery, provide a serene atmosphere that allows you to connect with nature while soaking in the warm waters. What impressed me even more was the attention to detail in the hot spring area. The cleanliness, water quality, and overall maintenance were top-notch. The staff were attentive, ensuring that guests had everything they needed for a truly indulgent hot spring experience. Now, let's talk about the bedrooms. My room was a luxurious retreat that exceeded all expectations. The cozy and comfortable bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the room's design exuded a perfect blend of modernity and traditional Taiwanese aesthetics. The view from my window was breathtaking, overlooking the lush mountains surrounding Beitou. The spacious bathroom in the bedroom featured its own private hot spring tub, allowing me to enjoy the therapeutic waters in complete privacy. It was a true luxury to have this option in the room. In conclusion, the Beitou Hot Spring Hotel is a gem of a retreat that offers an unparalleled hot spring experience and luxurious bedrooms. Whether you're seeking relaxation, romance, or simply a break from the hustle and bustle of life, this hotel is the ideal choice. I can't wait to return to this oasis of serenity and pampering.

It’s my first time trying hotspring! Went to soak my tired body after a hike at Xiang Shan. Paid NT 1580 for 2 pax on a weekend pricing for private room. (approx $68 Singapore dollars) Good pointers: 1) there are 2 big shower towels & 2 small towels provided in the shower. 2) shampoo, body gel, conditioner, body lotion was provided. 3) hair dryer, comb, hair tie was provided. 4) their WC washroom is clean and huge. 5) drinks & snacks are provided after the hotspring soak 6) we basically impromptu decided to come for hotspring and everything was provided. Bad pointers 1) no instructions or manual guide for first-time users of hotspring. We were unsure if you should enter to warm or cold water first. Or what we should do. 2) floor was wet and slippers should be provided. 3) altho the WC toilet is very big and clean, it is detached from the Private hotspring rooms. 4) the old lady - receptionist at the main lobby was not very friendly. 5) no wifi in the private hotspring rooms

As a solo female traveller, I was really happy to enjoy a room upgrade from the hotel. The room was clean and well furnished. There was everything that you could possibly need i.e. toiletries, lotion and bottled water. The room was comfortable and the toilet bowl is heated! (A blessing during winter) The private hot spring tub in the room good for two people but would be extra comfortable for one. The hotel breakfast included in the stay had quite a good variety of both western and Chinese selections. The location is near to food options and there are bus stops just 2 min away from the hotel. The hotel staff are really courteous as well. Will definitely go again.

Had a great time here! The hotel is well kept and has a zen vibe to it. Check in process is hassle free, though could do better in friendliness. The room is on the smaller side, but it’s clean and well equipped with all the basic necessities. The shower can even be converted into a steam room! Loved the private hot spring bath that’s channeled directly into the room too. They also provide multiple international plugs so you don’t need to worry about using your own converters. The location is also located a short walk to the train station which makes it highly accessible even if you’re coming with luggages. It’s a flat road with only one traffic junction to go across. The breakfast selection is rather limited but it’s not a major negative. It’s good to have a quick meal before heading out, but it’s also okay to give it a miss as you won’t be missing out on much. There are many local eateries just around the corner that comes especially lively at night. Overall a pleasant stay and will be back again!

Look no more!! Just come here to experience soaking in hotspring water! Very near to the MRT, affordable and well maintained! Room is of good space with both cold and really hot spring water! Inclusive of desserts and drink at the end. Really great and worth it! Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, will definitely be back again!

Location was very convenient. Walking distance to surrounding areas. Communication with hotel was very efficient. Charlotte communicated very well in English, she was very responsive and provided good advice on the booking and details. Room was of good size with a nice Japanese styled dining area. Only downside was very poor noise insulation.

It was great! Wife enjoyed her massage and after that we both had a very nice time in the hot bath with some wine and complimentary cookies from BHSR. Would give 5 stars, but there are some mold spots on the ceiling and more spots on the blinds. Also found some black short hairs on my pillow (I'm blond). Not to mention the shower head holder was broken. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience and we would come again!

We were warmly welcomed at reception by a talented English speaker! We enjoyed the room experience though the hot tub (in the cheapest room) was a squeeze for two small humans.. We were offered a great service by breakfast where the staff took my allergy seriously.

Most importantly, GIANT bath and friendly staff! We had a good time. However, -2 stars for low ceilings and choosing not to support American Express (the first and only hotel in Taipei I've seen that doesn't). @Owners, consider Amex (AE卡): they charge more, I know, but we go to hot springs all the time. Since your neigbor next door supports it, we will likely go there instead. So one percent lost by AE fee or losing 2 repeat customers?

The whole experience at this resort was nothing short of amazing! They provide all toiletries- even a toothbrush!- which is something I've never experienced before. The bath in my hotel room was beyond something I even have words to describe. There's even a steam room and a dry sauna in there! Then there's the natural hot spring spa downstairs. The staff was incredibly patient with me in spite of the language barrier. Everything about this place is of the highest quality!

Location is good. Our room do not have window. The air conditioner do not have heating option. They cannot provide extra blanket when asked. Staff said the hotel full and have no extra blanket available.

Wonderful indoor hotspring experience in Beitou. The bus-stop is right in front of the resort, really convenient to get to. Price is slightly on the high side but worthy considering the whole luxurious experience, all the basic needs are provided. Went for the public hotspring (no room), hygiene and maintenance are well done.

The hotel is one, if not the best hotspring in beitou. Its just a 5 mins walk from xin beitou station. Because it's a special occasion, the hotel specially made a cake and pastries during my stay. Food nearby are plentiful and it is about 6 train stops from shilin night market. Definitely worth every cents. The room I booked has Sauna, steamroom and hotspring bath to enjoy.

For a four-star hotel, I definitely expected better customer service 😕 Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the public baths were incredibly relaxing. The reason I’m knocking off two stars is because of a plumbing incident that happened in our room. One of the pipes in our private bath burst (See photos below for the leak), and my friend and I had to evacuate the room for about an hour (nothing crazy, no personal property damage). Maintenance resolved the issue quickly by shutting off the water flow in that pipe and mopping up the floor, and we couldn’t use our private bath anymore ☹️ We did not overflow the bathtub, and maintenance confirmed with the front desk that it was a pipe-burst issue. For this inconvenience, we asked the front staff if we could be reimbursed a small portion of the cost from our hotel stay. The representative went back and forth between me and his manager, and in the end the best they could do was to offer a small pastry/a slice of cake from their café as restitution. Their communication style seemed a bit condescending, but I didn’t push.

Stayed at this hotel twice because of convenience. First room faced the park, second room an inside garden. Lighting a bid dark, and the front desk are not friendly at all. Almost like you're annoying them. I need to look at alternatives.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This place and people are awful. First I was told by the front desk attendant I could not view the relaxation room in advance because people would be in robes or towels. When I tried entering the relaxation room with a towel on I was rudely told by the attendant to exit as that is an area for fully clothed patrons only and not people in towels or robe even after explaining what I was advised at check in. Secondly, there was an older gentleman smoking in the INDOOR hot springs area, and there are specific signs that say smoking is not permitted. When I spoke to the manager he said there is nothing he could do. I would never recommend this place or go back to this place ever again. Terrible staff and environment. Would award zero stars if possible.

5min walk from the mrt station and just opposite the famous library. Enjoyed relaxing soak in our room. There is a public bath at level 1 of the hotel. Breakfast is included for our stay, buffet style but the breakfast was nothing to be wowed about.

Paid $1380NT (weekday off-peak) for a 90 mins private hot spring room with both hot and cold spring. It is equipped with toiletries and towels. The room is also very clean. After the soak, tea and some snacks also included in the package. Highly recommend to go for a soak even in summer. Location is a 3 min walk near the exit of Xinbeitou.

  • 5/5 Karl C. 8 months ago on Google
Strategic location with many convenience stores around. It's also just a few mins walk from the mrt station. You can use both the public hot spring in the hotel (limited to 2 times a day for free) and unlimited times in your own bath room for free.

Private hot spring able to accommodate walk-in on actual day, but unable to make reservations in advance or soft book. Hot spring comes with the usual hot and cold spring. Private hot spring does provides basic amenities, such as towel, shampoo, body wash, lotion, hair dryer, comb, etc. Shower has hot and cold water taps. Hotel also provides free snack at their cafe after your 90-min hot spring experience. Pricing is slightly expensive, but for the privacy is worth it. I highly recommend this private hot spring to anyone.

Overall nice place to stay. We booked a family room and the washrooms were quite oddly designed/missing a door to separate the bath area from the beds. The service was not bad but not friendly either. However, great location to walk around to the thermal springs etc.

We stayed here for about 10 days. The room was clean, if somewhat cramped and lacking a desk to work on a laptop. The hot spring tub and wet sauna shower were both incredible, one better than the other. We used both daily. The water pressure is so-so, the toilet is a fancy Japanese toilet w heated seat. The breakfast was plentiful and offered a variety of options: fruit, cereal, congee, bao, sausages, sauteed green.s All of the options were on rotation: white congee rotated w mixed congee, types of sausage varied, potato options changed daily, the fresh fruits were different every day. The dining area is pretty and spacious, w a lovely view of the street, so u can watch the happenings of the town as u munch. The hotel does not clean ur room unless u ask them to (Taipei is very environmentally conscious), (but u can tell them if u just want a garbage change or smg), so we asked them to clean every few days. The location could not be better, 1 minute from MRT and also close to all the local shops. In addition, the staff helped us tremendously by helping to hire a car for the day for a business meeting we were trying to coordinate. That was above and beyond. Note that the staff strictly adheres to the 4pm check-in time

The hotel are located within the MRT station and there are plenty food and shops around that you can go to. Room was of good size with Built-in Hot pool and Sauna. Breakfast that are included have a lot of variety of options which are very nice to see. We will definetly come back to the hotel when we return to Taipei.

Went for public bath. Bought a ticket from KKday. Easy to use. Environment is clean and comfortable. Bath towel and slippers are provided. There are not only hot spring but also spa and sauna. Really enjoyed it. Totally recommend it.

I booked a room with two single beds, which is more expensive, but it's worth it as it comes with a sauna room which I enjoyed throughout my stay. The hot spring bath was excellent in the room, so you can enjoy it whenever you want. The room is dated and needs some updating, but still doable. The vast study area allows travellers to work without disturbing your bed mate. I was not too fond of the position of the sockets. The breakfast was bland, and the fruits were not sweet (Taiwan fruits are generally lovely). A slight variation of the breakfast menu from day to day. They do serve packet fruit favoured great vinegar drink.

This review is just for the baths. We came here on a day trip from Taipei to try the private bath before heading on to Tamsui Old Street. The private option was a great deal and worth every penny. Each room has 2 baths, which you can make hot or cold. It was so relaxing to switch between the two temperatures. The baths were extremely clean and there is a shower area and an area to change and dry your hair after. I wish there had been music playing though. I went with my boyfriend and found it to be a really relaxing activity to do together.

Rooms: The size of the room is really big but the lighting is too dark. The design of the room we got was such that there are some corners which we can’t see. And it seemed like there’s a park right outside our window. These factors make us feel quite uncomfortable. Please make the rooms brighter at least. It is really too dim. The onsen tub was huge and great. Service: Didn’t really interact much with the staff but their attitude was great. Very helpful and friendly. Location. Only 5 minutes walk from Xin Beitou station. Very very convenient.

Been visiting from time to time. Lately the entry for the shared hot spring bath is a bit too overpriced — $780NT on weekends. Though, the place isn’t crowded and the service is decent.

Enjoyed it! There are public springs and private rooms. We got the private rooms without bed. for about 2 hours. they do have private rooms with bed too. and they are pricier a beverage and a snack is served afterwards. This is included in the price you pay. They will also ask if you want to add on high tea- this is additional cost and in addition to the snacks you get by default. There is no view but the hotspring relaxes you anyway. shower is in the private room and there is amenity kit on the dressing table. Toilet is common to the private rooms on the same floor. Also, it is literally 3 mins walk from the station. Exit 1 and just walk straight after you exit. there are 3 crossings (left, centre/straight, right), just go straight, don't deviate left or right. it gets confusing when you are there and the data reception isnt very good so google map takes a while to reflect your location and your actual location is a little off. Head over to danshui (tamsui) after the hot springs. it is vibrant and apart from the walking streets, there are shops like uniqlo, watsons etc.

Alittle out of the way but next to train station so recommend visiting Tamsui Old Street. Room came with sauna, steam and hot tub. Staying there includes free access to the public Onsen which is a must try. Butt naked thou.

Walking distance from the XinBeiTou station. Came here for private bath. Wanted the space for myself. 90 minutes is very sufficient. I had 3 sessions of cold & hot baths. Felt rejuvenated and lively after then. Given light refreshments at the cafe at ground floor after the bath. Amazing deal.

  • 5/5 Jillian B. 5 years ago on Google
Came here with my husband for the private bath. The time limit is 90 minutes and be aware it takes about 30 minutes to fill up completely. It was more than enough time for us (we jumped in while it was filling) and we really enjoyed the privacy and the experience. The room itself had all the necessary amenities and sufficiently clean. We also appreciated the drink and cake after. 10/10 would recommend!

The deluxe room includes a decent size hot spring tub for two people, a sauna, and a steam room, which are clean and comfy. They serve a generous amount of breakfast for individuals that can be delivered to your room during the COVID. The service and hotel staffs are nice. I would come back again❤️ Thanks for the hard work🙏

We booked 1 night before our stay. So lucky to have a sauna and a hot spring tub in the room. Hotel front desk is very thoughtful for pregnant women. The room is literally first room after getting out of elevator. Minimum walking. 房間飯店人員對孕婦特別好.很感謝
