東安古橋is a ancient bridge that has been built by glutinous rice mixed with lime. That’s very cool! In addition to the special “glutinous rice bridge”, there are beautiful landscapes and sidewalks. You can walk along both sides of the 牛欄河 and take some pictures. Sometimes, there are fairs that was held by people untimely.

TongAn ancient bridge, a historic site designated by the county. Surprise that there's a such beautiful place. Easy to park and there's walking trail on both of river that can go around. Kids and family enjoyed the trip. You may find rest area for picnic as well.

When you come over via Route 3, 台三線, you will get across 牛欄河 first. You then have a far view of the old bridge. A riverside walkway is started there. If you walk upstream, you will approach the bridge in 15 min.

History bridge.

Probably the number choice to visit as a small town or village in Hsinchu area. The bridge itself is impressive. The walk along the river is relaxing and a must do. There are tons of visitors from Taipei. They come back again and again, for the authentic well known local foods / restaurants, for the countryside feel and activities they experience. It’s a place I will bring friends to.
