Very Nice hotel. Great location. Many of the attractions are walkable from this hotel. Excellent staff! The only thing is the room was small. There were 3 of us (2 adults and a (12) year old) with 2 double beds and it was tight. Although the room was small it was very clean. I sat on the floor to tinker with my suitcase and there was not a crumb in sight, not a dust ball, or hair. I would stay again.

All in all, I'm happy with the hotel choice I made as well as the location. But I concur with many comments about lifts, there are not enough lifts for this tall building, and you can end up waiting for a lift for some time, I feel sorry for those who had their room up high, while they might have had the view, I'm sure they had to wait to see it 😉 if I'd stay again, would stick to room floor 5 and below for easy access!!! The rest was good. Location great next to Subway stations that takes you everywhere, walkable distance to trade centres, port etc. Plenty of little take away Caffè for breakfast and more...

Doesn't seem to be a 4 star hotel. Service definitely lacking. First room wasn't clean upon entering. Only 3 elevator for 50 floors and 1 of 3 is frequently in use for maintenance/housekeeping. Expect to wait 5-10 minutes for elevator at busier times of day. Stayed for 4 days, housekeeping only offered every other day but didn't show up. Called for towels and soap/conditioner but they did not remove old towels and only brought us 2 bath towels. Main draw of this hotel is location. Room small but comfortable. Great hot water, comfortable bed. Would not recommend overall unless price and location are the only concerns.

Wouldn’t have minded giving three stars but there were issues that one would not expect from a hotel in downtown Manhattan. First, to be very clear, one does not go to NYC to stay in their hotel room. The rooms featured here are a decent size and the location is really good, there’s enough going on around you but it still feels like a quiet corner of the city. You’ll be steps away from the subway, a few blocks from world trade, and plenty of dining and shopping options close by. However I was uneasy about the cleanliness of the room. The AC had brown stains on it like someone had spilled a soda and was never cleaned, the room had a musty odor, and the furniture had a solid white layer of dust - but the bathroom was not simply not clean. The wallpaper was rippled as if from water damage, the vanity was peeling and cracked & the sink didn’t drain, and the shower had black mildew on the shower head and grout. The shower also had a mildewed plastic flap screwed to the floor to keep the water in the shower - it didn’t work and my overnight bag was soaked. My first night I had no hot water - I did call the front desk and they took care of the issue. I never had housekeeping visit - not sure if i needed to request it, if so that was never communicated. The staff were nice and helpful, but the room simply was not up to basic standards - but then again for a short stay, the location and price point, it’s bearable.

It was nice having a room in a convenient location but it did not meet the standards of basic cleanliness. There were smudges of what looked like blood or dirt or other bodily fluids on the headboard, walls and sheets. After writing this review and submitting a complaint all I’ve received is a response essentially saying: “sorry about that, but we hope you stay with us again.” Paying $200+ dollars for a dirty room does not sound like something I want to do again.

We had a late check in, and that wasn’t an issue at all. The room they gave us was though, there was hair on the shower wall and the tub wasn’t draining properly. They did change our room right away, and after that we had a very good stay. Staff was friendly and approachable. This is a great location!! They do need to practice better cleaning tactics though. The vent in the restroom was very dusty

Located in a top area if you want to do sightseeing. Service is average, staff is friendly. The rooms are small and equipped at normal level. We got a standard room which had excellent view for no extra charge. Walls are thin, you hear your next room speaking every word, and so do they. I would normally give 4 stars since the hotel is very cheap for this area. But there is one large downside: The elevators are horrible. There are 3 (only 1-2 were working within the 4 days we’ve been there) for the entire hotel, which has 50 floors with approximately 10 rooms each. Average waiting time for the elevator is 10-15 minutes, no joke. When you get lucky and manage to get in one, it will stop on almost every single floor, because people are waiting there. Imagine living on the 47th floor like us. During waiting time the lobby gets very crowded. There are many groups of young people drinking alcohol and partying, staff doesn’t do too much about that. Covid restrictions were not checked at all. While waiting in the lobby you have hostel atmosphere for a hotel price.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful at all times. I had a last minute request to have the room decorated for my anniversary with my partner and they went and set it up very nicely! It shows they care for the clients and are willing to go the extra mile. The area around the hotel is awesome, it is located closed to subways and pretty much everything in terms of Chinatown and even little Italy. Next time I travel to NYC, I will be staying again here!

Love this hotel. Clean, great location. Lots of international travelers, staff is very patient. Please understand the location means that rooms might be smaller but it’s a great value. Don’t expect spacious suburban hotel rooms. PARKING: hotel gives you a discount but I advise using an app to find and reserve spots on the west side of the financial district (battery park?). It’s an only a 5-10 minute walk and some apps make it easier to find discounts. Street parking is possible but involves lots of luck and vigilance to move your car to comply with time restrictions.

This Holiday Inn stay was a pleasant experience. It's perfectly located with easy access to the Rector and Wall Street Metro stations and an easy walking distance to Battery Park or The World Trade Center Complex. Check-in was super easy. The elevators are quick, but you might have to wait a bit of you're trying to go down early in the morning. We took the stairs down a couple of days because it was easier. The cleanliness was good and the shower was nice. The room was on the small side but for the price and location, it was a worthwhile tradeoff. We'd definitely stay here again!

Very affordable for it's location. We payed 1080$ for a 5 night stay with 4 persons. The room was comfortable, beds are good but a bit on the small side (2x twin) for 4 people. Not what we are used to in Europe but its common in the US. Room is small but you are only taking a shower and sleeping there anyway. We had room 2903 with an excellent view of lower Manhattan and New Jersey! One downside are the elevators though. They are a right nightmare!! They didn't work properly (issues with doors) And took about 20-30min in the morning and evening to get up or down. The elevators are clearly not able to keep up with the amount of people in the hotel. We decided to walk down 29 flights of stairs in the morning a few times after waiting 20min for an elevator We could fit in... We asked for a late checkout and 12:30 wasn't an issue and was free. For a bit later they will charge you 50$ which is fare.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and we felt very safe in the neighbourhood. We booked online before arriving. The only complaint is that our room did not have a fridge or microwave. For $200+ per night Canadian, I think those should be included, and we didn't realize they weren't until we arrived. I believe ours was the standard room. I saw another higher priced room when booking, but the differences didn't seem evident at the time. Probably for an additional fee we could have had them. Our hairdryer didn't work the first morning, but after finding a maintenance guy, he went into an empty room and got me one that worked. We also told him we were having issues with the coffee maker not working, so he came down and gave us some tips on how to use it since they are a bit finicky. The attached restaurant is amazing (See separate review). We asked for information on restaurants at the front desk. The younger girls at the desk weren't able to assist, but some of the guys recommended the pizza place right on the side street, and it was great. There isn't parking right at the hotel. Their affiliated place is about a 4-5 min walk, but we chose to park right at the end of Washington only a block away. It was apparently the same price and only a 1 min walk. Our room had a little view of the water in between buildings. We found the room to be quite sound proof and didn't hear a lot from other rooms. Nice computer space downstairs for anyone needing that. Also a room with a microwave, coffee machines and seating was downstairs off the lobby. The soaps and cream provided were Dove, which was a nice surprise. The hotel is close to the subway, which was great for travelling up town. It was a short walk to the Statue of Liberty lookout and the One World Observatory. Overall, a great experience.

We came to NYC specifically for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and it was great to have a hotel only two blocks away from the memorial. The room was clean, had a nice view, and we slept very well in the bed. The front desk honoured my platinum elite status with a room upgrade and late checkout. We encountered two minor issues. There was only one towel in the room, but the front desk was quick to send up a couple more when I called them. The other issue was with the elevator traffic which they acknowledge as a problem during their check-in and check-out hours. When we were checking in, there were dozens of people all trying to use the three elevators to get to their rooms, and the hotel has 50 levels. So it can take a long time to get up or down depending on how busy they are since they only have those three small elevators. Overall, great experience and would stay again.

Everything was great with my stay and the staff was very friendly but…. Something needs to be done with the situation with the elevators, if you need to use them late at night or extremely early in the morning fine, the rest of the day you have to wait 20-30 minutes to be able to go down to the lobby and be on your way since they are extremely full no matter what. Me personally on day one waited over 20 minutes to be able to get in one since they always show up completely full, and being on a 24th floor the stairs really don’t look all that promising. Day two I had to get on one that was going up after waiting a good 15-20 minutes and den going down was another 10 minutes since you stop at almost every floor. But other than that, everything was great, rooms were very clean and everything was about perfect. Would definitely stay again if needed.

All I want from a hotel is a good night sleep. This one can’t provide it. The heater/air conditioner is extremely loud all day and night. If you turn it off then there will be no air in your room so you have to keep running it. Disappointed. Glad I stayed there only one day.

Unbeatable location close to WTC & financial district.. Easy access to all subway routes... Rooms are clean & cozy but small.. NY small .. $38/day parking is not cheap

Awesome stay! Front desk was very friendly, room was clean, anything we needed they brought right away. The elevator was not as bad as the reviews say for us. We had a small wait. AWESOME location. I’m glad we didn’t stay in midtown. Much quieter and safer than upper Manhattan and when we did want to go to Manhattan the subway was very close and the 1 train will take you to most places. We saw the World Trade Center from our room. Would stay here again 100%

The hotel was neat & tidy like a micro hotel small but nice. The halls are very narrow. There are three elevators in this very busy hotel. We had to park a ways away. It was $48.00 to park over night. I would stay here again. Close to downtown & we could walk a few places. Quaint little neighborhood market around the corner.

I liked the fact that this hotel is next to all the financial district attractions.Next to 911 memorial. Had a clean room. I Room is standard size for NYC. Gym was closed due to covid. There is a restaurant in the ground floor and close to many interesting restaurants and coffee shops.

Room size is comparable to NY city standards. It’s small, but manageable. Excellent location! The best part about the hotel is indeed the location. Rooms are well designed with enough lighting and plug points. Service is on-time. — Housekeeping staff only speak Spanish, which I found difficult because I could barely ever convey my message. Front desk staff was a bit rude while explaining check in formalities and room assignment.

  • 5/5 Sarah W. 2 years ago on Google
Highly recommended. We stayed for a week and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The only gripe I had was no housekeeping for four days due to covid restrictions. Otherwise, faultless both for location and facilities.

I love that it is in the downtown which is right in the middle of the main attraction in New York city with just a walk away. I also liked the rooms it's good , a little compact but feels nice and cozy in there. My experience there was good in everything but I didn't like the fact that they were only using one elevator for like 50 floors hotel, where just getting from my room to ground floor took around 10-12 min because of everyone using the same elevator we had to stop on each floor.

  • 4/5 Andrei U. 1 year ago on Google
An excellent hotel to stay at when visiting New York, the location is surprisingly good, I can even say that I like it better than staying in Midtown Manhattan, very close to 3 different subway stations, super convenient. The room was very clean, the cleaning service came once every other day. The only downside are the elevators, there are 3 of them for a 50 floor building and you sometimes need to wait a while in the morning to descend, but more frustrating is in the evenings when there are lines forming at ground level because one of the elevators is used by the staff to transport sheets and towels. Overall, I really recommend this hotel.

The staff were very polite during my 4 day stay with my boyfriend. We opted out of the room service that came by every other day. The room was okay for two people and the bed was really comfortable. The WiFi was great and the rooms were soundproof enough so we didn't hear anyone else during the night. The only thing I can say was that during the day we were checking out, the elevators were extremely crowded and a lot of the time during our stay only two of the three elevators worked at all. But during our check out day we had to rush to grab our Uber and thus had to run down 23 flights of stairs with our luggage which was not fun. That's the only complaint but besides that definitely would go again if I had to stay in the area again.

This very decent Lower Manhattan Inn has spotless rooms. I was pretty impressed. I even called in to ask for an earlier check-in, and they were helpful and accommodated me at 1 pm. The best part was I left my watch, and they kept it safe, and I got it back. Keep up the excellent work, and I hope they continue to maintain this standard and even better. I will return for another stay.

I had a great stay here! Location wise is very very strategic. Close to a lot of subway lines. Clean room, good service. The only thing that could be better during my stay was the wait for the elevator. Man it took forever just to get to the lobby! Pro tips: ask for a lower level room so that you can go up and down by the stairs!

  • 5/5 Adam W. 2 years ago on Google
This is a really good straightforward hotel in NYC. The prices are very reasonable with an excellent location close to many subway lines and a short walking distance to many attractions in lower manhattan. When comparing locations I think staying in the financial district is better than midtown since it has better access to subway lines and isn’t as busy so it’s a nice home base for your visit to the city. The room was pretty small, but since it was just myself and I was exploring the city most of the day, I really didn’t mind. This is a really nice hotel for the money and I would definitely recommend it.

Simply the best hotel! The staff was excellent and was very helpful. The properties are all beautiful with lots of things to do and see just around the hotel. I enjoyed everything about my whole stay here. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in my whole life. Thank you for providing me such exceptional service and remarkable stay. Keep it up!

Staff was very friendly & responds promptly to needs. Location is EVERYTHING.... Walking distance of ferry to Statue of liberty. Room was very clean. Rooms are extremely small. Fits 2 people comfortable NOT 4. DO NOT get a room high up bc I promise that you will either walk up at least once or twice during stay. Elevators suck....

The rooms are the worst I've stayed in till now. When it was 34F the thermostat wasn't working. When we complained, the engineer switched on the A/C and said no heater only AC in hot mode! The bathroom size is wayyyy small and the door has a cut out to fit in the bowl. No way this is a 4 star hotel! Walk across the street to stay at Gild Hall, we stayed there and enjoyed the place.
