LOVE! Shake shack has been my go-to burger place for so long and they never let you down. When I was recently craving their food again I checked out this location. It’s perfectly located in the Madison square park with plenty of place to sit down. When I went there today (super cold day) I was delighted to see that they have set up heated outdoor dining! Couldn’t be happier to enjoy my burger and fries there. Great job guys!

Nice to see the Original Shake Shack location. Orders might take awhile and sometimes confusing if its your first time. Couple of seats available if its not busy.

This shake shack is very unique! I love the service here. The food is also great, you can spend quite a bit but honestly it’s worth it. The food is delicious and I’ve never tasted such burger. Not only is the food amazing but so is the place. It’s in madison square park so you bet it’s beautiful. The view is aesthetically pleasing as you gobble down those fries. Definitely recommend, such a nice place to bring friends for brunch.

This is where it all began. From this stand in the middle of Madison Square Park sprouted a great franchise. While I'm already familiar with their great burgers, sandwiches, & fries I never tried their shakes. The Oreo Funnel Shake was delicious albeit so viscous that I ditched my straw for a spoon. It was a nice way to get a sweet brain freeze on this hot, humid summer day.

The service is nice and fast. As a vegetarian you have two alternative burgers, but unfortunately these are not tasty and a bit dry, the fries are still okay. You can only sit outside, but in the beautiful park. There is plenty of seating. As a vegetarian there are better alternatives. Value for money okay.

The OG Shake Shack, it's a must if you're in the area. Came here at 8pm on a cold and windy Tuesday so there was no line and food came out fast. Good service and friendly staff with tons of seats. Shake Shack burger was good. The vanilla frozen custard was fantastic. I come here every time I visit NYC for work and you should too.

Great branch in the middle of Madison Square Park. Nice atmosphere, especially in the evenings with nice lighting. Burger was also very tasty, also suitable for vegetarians.

Very tasty burger, for fast food chain their quality is very good. Cookies and cream shake was amazing. I really like this place because you can sit in park and enjoy the nature while you wait and eat your meal

what can I say except if you came to NYC and didn't visit the Shake Shack in Madison ave then you didn't complete your list of must try places in NYC. 100 million % recommend this place. you can also order online if you want to avoid the lineup. Delicious burgers, fries and Milk Shake.

The best amongst the fastfood cheeseburgers in US I’ve tasted so far. The quality of meat is fresh and delicious. Look at those fresh greens ❤️

The original Shake Shack. The burger was delicious but the fries was not crispy. The burger was definitely better than other Shake Shacks especially if you are from out of state.

Visited in Aug 2023 When you’re jn NYC, you can’t miss visiting the OG Shake Shack. Nice place to enjoy a burger and a beer/drink on a sunny day.

The shack stack is THE burger you'll need if you are hungry, very tasty and well composed. But if you don't like crowded places, avoid this restaurant or the one on Time Square, there is always a big line and the service is not always friendly. The amount of fries is not enough for the price they charge you

It was nice to be able to eat the first burger outdoors after arriving in New York. The beautiful atmosphere in the park and the sufficient seating options invite you to do so. The burger was very tasty.

I usually get the Shroom burger and I love it! But for some reason when we tried it here, it wasn’t as flavorful, felt like the patty was fried again, and was not tender.

Burgers: 5 stars Service: 3 stars what can anyone write more about Shake Shack in Madison Square Park? it’s the OG location, the burgers, fries & more are consistently very good; and it’s a great place for low-key casual al fresco dining day or night. use the Shake Shack app to order. headed to the pickup window after waiting past my pickup time and asked about my order. the pickup window person said it was probably not ready, but went back to some screen to see if my order was ready. she returned and then looked at some of the orders that had been sitting there and said “here’s your order” and handed me my bag. looked at the order sticker on my bag and it had been sitting there for 15ish minutes. burger was lukewarm-ish not hot. still tasted very good. never received the “pickup your order” text which you’re supposed to get right before your pickup time. it also seemed like no one was in charge at the order window bc it seemed like different people were calling orders to pickup. i still don’t get why the Shake Shack app doesn’t just have a countdown to your order being ready like other food ordering apps. why isn’t there some sort of big digital screen at the Shake Shack showing what orders are up and in-progress and you just show your receipt or phone screen to get your order? so many other casual and fast food places just use digital screens and the app to show order status. tbh, depending on different staffers in a fast-moving kitchen to call out orders to customers waiting outside is antiquated. if this was some mom-n-pop place I’d understand the lack of innovation but Shack Shack is a legit global chain and this is a iconic location. my Single Shack Burgers tasted very good albeit not very hot. cheese melted. the bun soaked up the burger flavors. the patties were well-seasoned and everything else in the burger else comes together nicely for one satisfying eating experience. the outside trash can was overflowing. gross. not sure if the park is responsible for the trash removal or Shake Shack is but maybe use more trash cans OR have someone empty them hourly. weird.

Awesome place if you want to eat a good meal without spending a lot of money. The food is really good, the burger is a little small but If you order fries and shake it’s not really important. I’ll especially recommend the cheese fries, it is absolutely great.

The burgers are rather small but juicy and tasty. The fries are mediocre. Service was great though and the staff was friendly and helpful!

Great burger could use a little more lettuce. Bacon cheese fries are great. Shakes are good. We ordered plain cheeseburgers for kids they were good, a bit crispy on edges.

This was our first visit. We were greeted with great upbeat energy from all the front counter employees. They were so helpful with our selections. Awesome staff! Once you have this burger you will chase it for the rest of your life. It’s just that good. The burger taste seasoned and juicy with fresh fresh toppings. The fries and shakes are the real deal. We savored every bite and sip.

Enjoyed it very much, park atmosphere is great. Only thing I can complain about (there’s no such thing as perfect). Is that the burger was kinda just slapped together and although it tasted great it was not visually appealing, also the burger could have been a bit hotter.

This Shake Shack has an amazing location in the middle of the park. A high traffic area where you know its going to be crowded. Service is good and they do their best, there is minimal wait considering the amount of peiple there, so I feel its fast for what it is. The fries and shake were good, nothing special and I didn't get anything else. Its a nice place to get quick eat and chat with your friends sitting in the park, I feel thats a much better reason to eat at this location.

Amazing place to spend the afternoon at the park, just as long as you don't mind soggy burgers and undercooked fries. I can't believe I'm saying this about a shake shack but please enjoy it anywhere else but this location

Shake Shack is a staple for New York's business crowd, college students, and tourists. It's funny to watch the lines go crazy around lunch and dinner when everyone's running around trying to find something to eat. The burgers are consistently well above average for fast food, and I love their crispy crinkle cut fries. Service is generally fast and efficient. I always get what I order, and it never comes mashed or disfigured like every other burger chain.

NY tour is not complete without a visit to the Madison park and the open air dinner at Shak Shack. Variety of burgers, fries and milk shake. One can visit without much pre-plan.

Probably the best burger at an affordable price. Takes a while to get the food, but that's mainly because there's so many people in line that wants these great burgers. Absolutely amazing atmosphere in the park.

Great burgers and milkshakes Line ups are crazy and the app wouldn't work to order ahead. It's chaotic to pick up your order - no real sense of order or organization but that's part of the experience and appeal lol
